The Devil's Errand

Steve has dreams and aspirations, and yet there always seems to be something standing in the way. He's attending his dream college, playing baseball, and is about to propose to a girlfriend he adores. His life is just about perfect, and yet it doesn't quite feel that way to Steve. School is hard, he is fighting for a spot on the team, and he worries if he is good enough for his girlfriend. The stress is almost overwhelming, and its giving him a headache that he just can't shake. A visit home ends up in a trip to the hospital and soon Steve finds himself all alone, except for a kindly old man and a simple offer. The choice seems simple enough, but the consequences of this choice go much deeper than Steve can fathom.
