Don’t expect second chances from this Santa. Talk about the ghost of Christmas past… Marie, the love of his life, is back in town to help her sister take care of her sick nephew. Digger promises that the girl next door won’t get away this time. Not on this bad biker Santa’s watch.
Calia Wilde believes the hero isn't always the good guy. She writes novels with highly-flawed, imperfect people to give HEA hope to readers who need it, or just want to imagine killing their tormentors.

Short holiday book where the magic of Christmas gives Digger and Marie a second chance at love when she comes to town to help her solve with her sick son.
Calia Wilde’s Second Chance Santa is a heartwarming holiday romance filled with charm, humor, and the magic of second chances. The story captures the festive spirit while delivering an emotional journey that’s perfect for cozy winter nights.
The chemistry between Digger and Marie is electric, and their shared history adds a layer of complexity that keeps the reader invested. I loved how their relationship unfolded amidst the backdrop of holiday cheer, with Wilde expertly blending romance and seasonal nostalgia.
However, I found myself wishing for more insight into Digger and Marie’s backstory. While the novel provides glimpses of their past, a deeper exploration of how they came to be where they are would have added richness to their dynamic and given the story more emotional weight.
Despite this, Second Chance Santa is an enjoyable, feel-good read that left me smiling. If you’re looking for a festive romance with a touch of heartfelt drama, this book is definitely worth adding to your holiday reading list!
While visiting the hospital Digger ran into the last person he expected, Marie, the love of his life. Although things went bad before, it seems there was some miscommunication, and he is more than willing to spend more time with her. This time, things will be different. I received a copy of this novella from the author in exchange for an honest review. I started this story and finished it in the same day. I know I have raved over Calia's books in the past, but this really is an adorable little story to sink your teeth into. I will say that it is helpful to have read her other Destroyers MC books, because otherwise it is just about a biker named Digger who seems contrite for how things ended previously.
With the background we know Digger and how he is from the other books. He deserved his own little happily ever after and I'm glad he got it. Even if their issues were resolved quickly and without fanfare.
I don't want to say much more about it without giving away all the details, so I will leave it at if you enjoy the Destroyers, add this one as well.
Communication is a Wonderful Thing - The last Digger expected to run into whilst he was on a mission was his ex-girlfriend, who was the love of his life, but broke his heart. Even though Marie was shocked to run into Digger in the hospital, she was determined to find out why he broke up with her. Even though Digger didn’t want to deal with their past, he knew he had no choice if he wanted Marie to keep his secret, which led to him discovering he had made assumptions about her and the truth was a lot worse than he expected. Clearing up the misunderstanding allowed them to rekindle their romance and give themselves a chance at getting the life they missed out on.
This may be a novella, but it had everything to ensure it was a worthwhile and enjoyable reading experience. This is a new author for me and I must say I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future.
I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed how this second chance romance unfolded. Marie and Digger meet in the hospital, after years apart, and sparks still fly between them. However, Marie wants to know why Digger threw away their friendship/love with no real explanation. Digger couldn't believe what she had to say to him about the past. Shocked but still loving her, they make some bargains to see about having the future they always should have had. I loved Marie's sister Jess and hope she gets a story, too, at some point. She's a hoot with her reverse psychology ;P I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book to meet more of these engaging and quirky characters :D
The ARC of this 27 page extract said it could be read as a stand-alone and that it wasn't part of a series ... Which is not true. I haven't read anything by Calia Wilde before, and was quite excited to read a Christmas novella with a bad boy, motorcycle club theme. Clearly this little snippet of a book fits in between two other novels, and is literally a glimpse into what happened or is happening in the previous and next novel.
It was well-written, captivated my attention and imagination, and made me want to read more of the story. It was just a let down as a stand-alone Christmas read as it didn't meet promised expectations.
I know it's no longer Christmas but i feel like this book is perfect for anytime of the year. I really loved Digger and Marie's story and a second chance at love with Christmas miracles happening.
I know this is a story about them coming back together but if this happened in real life i feel like it would be a perfect romance to see. Along with an interfering big sister who uses reverse physiology. Digger may be a rough looking guy but he has a good heart and still very much loves Marie. Marie just wants to understand the things that lead them to breaking up and fix her broken heart

Quick snack sized story, not much to it. Premise for a more detailed story is there, but sadly not developed. The writing itself is decent, a few tiny little grammatical errors, but not distracting. Backstory delivered well, didn't drag down the fast pace. Reads a bit like a one night stand, entertaining in the moment, but nothing to really go back for.
Would have really loved for this to be longer, the author's cadence and voice is good. But as a 30 page glimpse of two characters with boatloads of baggage, surprisingly well done.
Digger learns that the one that got away is back in town to help with her nephew and he is determined to get Marie back. When miscommunication and a lack of understanding came between them it sent them in opposite directions. Now that she is back in town will Digger get his chance for redemption and a second chance. This short story had me connecting with these two cheering them on to finding their chance for happiness. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a quick-read novella about two people running across each other in a very unlikely place. Their past is built on questions and accusations, making their reunion tense to say the least. There is a good amount of entertaining banter, but this isn’t a story with spicy romance scenes if you were anticipating that.

A quick story about Digger and Marie, friends since childhood and lovers as they got older, but when a seed of doubt is planted, things change.
Jump ahead a few years, and a chance meeting brings them together. Can they work out what went wrong and why, and get their chance of a Christmas miracle?

💕💖💕 Digger and Marie 💕💖💕 A short prequel in the Destroyers MC world of Hagerstown, MD. This quick read leaves you wanting to read the next book! Good series!

Destroyers MC short story giving Digger and Marie a second chance. This fast-paced, quick read is about love, forgiveness and second chances. Lies and lack of communication tore these two apart years ago and being in the right place at the right time brings them back together.
Fun read but I would have preferred their entire story. Sounds like they deserved their happily ever after. Hopefully the brother stays gone. They are a good solid couple for the club

This is a very short quick read. It reads more like a ex couple runs into each other after being apart for 6 years and reuniting for a one night stand. Wish it was a longer story.
A short story that a must read. Wonderful characters that you’ll want to get more of. Digger and Marina get a second chance and hopefully it works. ❤️📚👍
This is a MC Christmas Romance. This is a very short story, and I really did not see the point to this book. The book itself feels like the beginning of a book, but it does not feel like a whole story. I did like what this book was trying to do, but I felt it was missing so much. It also needed more story. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
