I may have gone in there looking for a different book. I liked Clarke's writing style, but I found some of these story way too short to provide any value. I can assume that people unfamiliar with the background of some of these stories, such as the wine scammers of the late 90s and early 2000s, would feel terribly confused. I'd have preferred 50 or even 20 stories that dive way deeper, especially for things like the story of bottle stoppers.

I'd have given it a 3 if it wasn't a subject I'm really interested in right now and if I didn't know Clarke's style is really, really good.
