This is a really nice, concise book summarising the some of the key events and people in British history. It gives clear information on seminal points from the past and is informative without being turgid to read.
The facts are accompanied by some interesting illustrations and maps and is an excellent resource for a history lesson. I wouldn't use this book with any children younger than year 5, but it's a really good introduction to the type of text book children are likely to encounter in secondary schools.
I also found it really useful for boosting my own knowledge of British history (which is shamefully rusty!).
A fool's guide to the history of my own country .How shameful I need this little pocket sized book to clarify the many dark areas of my knowledge in history . If only, I could at least, recite the order of the Kings of England (my Mum and Dad could)
