Really enjoyed reading about places I have travelled through & imagining how it would be on a bike ! Don't think I could go without showers or protein the way the author did though .

What a gutsy young lady (well 29 or so). Follow her cycling adventures down to Tierra del Fuego and back up to Cerro Rico in Bolivia. A tale of dogged fortitude and persistence, staggering really. I'm lost for words. How the hell she did this I'll never know.

Eleanor is an entertaining writer who uses lots of flowery language in her account of her bike trip. I personally was hoping for more practical information, since I am currently biking in the same part of the world that she did.

I really enjoyed this book having travelled in this part of the world myself. I admire any women who can even contemplate biking their alone let alone actually doing it. It was very well written, bringing the region to life, and had a good pace to it also.

I really enjoyed this book - especially because I had travelled some of the same route by bicycle in 2005 so I was able to revisit my memories along the way.
