The master storytelling and comedic genius of Ali Siddiq is on full display in his new book, Domino Effect! In conjunction with his hit comedy special, Siddiq continues to engage audiences with his witty, wise, and in-depth look at the power of decision-making. Siddiq believes that the choices we make are connected and set the course for our lives. In this amazingly hilarious literary work, Ali exposes his flaws, failures, felons, and family members in his unique way that keeps readers laughing and learning at the same time — complete with the characters we love like, “Kirk & Gwen”, “Tink” and the infamous “Quincy”. No one is safe, not even his parents, as Ali shares stories that shaped and changed his life forever.
A really funny memoir about Ali Siddiq’s life, mainly talking about his teenage years as a “street pharmacist”. Ali shares wisdom from his Father, talks about the strength of his mother, and tells readers about his own personal domino effect. It’s funny and succinct, but shows Ali’s character and what made him that way.
As someone who has seen his stand up and gone to multiple live shows (I actually bought this book at a live show, I should’ve asked him to sign it!) I was familiar with a lot of these stories. If you have seen the comedy special before, this won’t be new information for you, but it’s still funny and I would definitely recommend this to people who want a fun, short read.
