A really funny memoir about Ali Siddiq’s life, mainly talking about his teenage years as a “street pharmacist”. Ali shares wisdom from his Father, talks about the strength of his mother, and tells readers about his own personal domino effect. It’s funny and succinct, but shows Ali’s character and what made him that way.

As someone who has seen his stand up and gone to multiple live shows (I actually bought this book at a live show, I should’ve asked him to sign it!) I was familiar with a lot of these stories. If you have seen the comedy special before, this won’t be new information for you, but it’s still funny and I would definitely recommend this to people who want a fun, short read.

This is a great translation of the comedy special. It’s a book that you hear as you read it.

I was selling his merch, so I picked up the book and thought, “I should probably read the book I’m selling.” It was good! I enjoyed it 😌
