Wow. How badly did this book suck? Really badly! It was a Kindle cheapy...I only paid $0.99 and I have half a mind to return it and get my money back. If only Amazon could refund the two hours of my life I spent reading it! Some of the Amazon reviews referenced 50 Shades so I knew it would suck, but I was hoping it would be awesomely bad and hilarious. Sadly, it was just bad. In some ways, the story was even worse than 50 Shades, if you can imagine.

I don't know anything about the author, nor do I care to take the time to look her up, but the book felt like it was written by a European trying to pass herself off as American. The vernacular was just all off.

The book is about a girl named Samantha (not Sam...Samantha) who is a temp at Strauss Industries doing some kind of menial job or another. I’m going to refer to her as POP (p*ssy of power) for reasons that will become clear later.

One day POP’s work friend shows her a picture of the company CEO, Alexander Strauss while they are eating in the cafeteria. POP is so overcome with lust, JUST FROM LOOKING AT HIS PICTURE, that she tries to cover it up by declaring that he must be an arrogant prick. Guess who is standing behind her when she says it? Yep, the prick himself. He tells her to be in his office at 4PM. When she arrives, he asks her why she said that. She stammers then finally blurts out that he never visits the little people (maybe not in those exact words). He proceeds to f*ck her, which she goes along with because he is just THAT overwhelming. On the way home, she whines internally about how she’s probably fired for saying what she said. Oh yeah, and for sleeping with the boss - a guy she said exactly 10 words to. More for the first thing though. The next day she shows up at work in her jeans because she thinks she is fired. She gets called to Alex’s office after being told that he visited everyone after she left the day before. Gee, he visited the little people just because she suggested it? That is a powerful p*ssy! Although I do wonder why he was in the cafeteria if he’s always been too good to interact with the common folk. Better to ignore common sense and just move on, so move on we shall.

Alex tells POP that he loves her refreshing honesty. Also, he loves that she is the perfect kind of submissive to his dominating self. He then offers her a job as his executive assistant. That’s right, based solely on her p*ssy of power, a temp gets offered a job as an executive admin without any apparent qualifications!! He warns her that the job will be dangerous (??) and that as a perk of the job, she gets to have submissive sex with him whenever and wherever he wants. She says yes (naturally) so he tells her that she is accompanying him to a press conference right then and there because her insight will be sooo valuable. Riiiiight.

She has nothing suitable to wear, but that’s okay. He somehow knew a) that she would say yes, b) that she would be wearing jeans, and c) her exact measurements. He gives her a box with trashy lingerie that is literally tailor made for her. She hems and haws without ever saying “Eff you mother effer!” and he finally hands her a box with a suit (also tailor made for her). He still wants her to wear the lingerie, just under the other outfit. Now I’m sorry, but I don't even know my exact measurements so I don't care how much money you have. No amount of investigation is going to provide that information. I guess he memorized her body while they had kinky sex? Either way, it’s creepy!

They go to the press conference where Alex drops some bombshell about a new direction he’s taking the company. Even though it’s never fully explained, everyone is all up in arms especially a current board member. Gee I wonder if this will come into play later in the book? After providing absolutely no insight whatsoever, POP and Alex leave. In the limo, Alex literally rips all of POP’s clothes off so he can f*ck her. When they get to his house, she has nothing to wear. Or does she? Wait...he has had an entire closet of clothes for her! Keep in mind this is the SECOND DAY HE’S KNOWN HER!! Not at all creepy or weird.

The next day, Alex tells POP that he is sending her to China to attend an important meeting...IN HIS PLACE! That’s right...she’s not going WITH him, but FOR him! Because one whole day (kinda) of being an admin totally qualifies her to fly to another country to speak for him. I don't care if she was an executive assistant for 20 years and actually knew what she was doing, no way would a CEO send an assistant to do his job. I forgot, we're supposed to overlook any and all common sense. Let’s move along. POP goes to the meeting in China and aces it (naturally). When she gets back to the US she goes to Alex’s for more kinky, yet totally uninteresting, sex.

The next day she goes to her apartment, but rather than take the car he left her, or a cab, she decides to take the subway. Some dude tries to take her picture and he tries to follow her. She totally overreacts and acts like someone actually attempted to murder her. Alex acts the same way and tells her he’s going to set her up in an apartment. He reminds her that she was warned about the dangers of being his assistant. Good lord. Score another one for the POP! He also gets her a car and driver/bodyguard of her very own.

The next day (or so it seemed), Alex tells POP that he is sending her to a board meeting to attend...again...IN HIS PLACE! What the fresh hell?? The angry dude from the press conference actually bothered to attend the board meeting in person (imagine that) and he basically tears her a new one for sleeping her way to the top and knowing nothing about the company. She mopes because she doesn't think she’s a whore (she is). Come on girl, if the shoe fits, wear it with pride!

She goes back to her apartment and it’s vandalized. Someone scrawled “Whore” on the wall or something. If only we knew of someone who recently suggested she was one...

Somehow angry guy gets the rest of the board members to overthrow Alex so he’s no longer a board member. I really didn't care enough to read the details at this point so a bunch of other stuff happened – no idea what really.

Overall what a waste of time & energy!

What can be said about this read? I wouldn't really consider this a short story, it was more of an excerpt from Fifty Shades of Gray. haha There were just too many similarities between the two that I couldn't help comparing.

How was it possible that Emily didn't know what the CEO of the company she worked at looked like...
knew his name...
but when her friend mentioned said name, she thinks of a completely different person...
but has heard rumors of the same guy getting around with the girls at the company?
OR the fact that when Strauss was right behind her, she seemed ot know exactly who he was.
Makes no sense.

So she has to go to his office at 4pm. She leaves her desk, asks for directions from her boss and heads to Strauss's office. Why does this take 30 minutes?

FYI, I can't stand the word 'pussy.' I've said this before but I don't get it. I mean reading any type of erotica describing sexual whatnot and suddenly pussy is thrown in. Sorry but that will just throw me out of the story. I don't know what it is about that word but IDK.

The fact that the author did a part 2 for this...what a joke!

I was kind of blah about this story but couldn't bring myself to give it less than 3 stars. It was like a fast moving bullet train....you couldn't really fall in love with either character, and it centered far too much around sex and some random dangerous drama that just didn't work in my opinion. The writing was very elementary, where i felt they were trying to be sexy but came off juvenile. I read it and would probably read the others but for the price they are charging for them on amazon I'll pass..

Ok this is a series of 5 books..... word to the wise they are SHORT reads but well worth it. if you can borrow from Amazon I would recommend as I thought they were a little pricey for the size of the books. but again just my opinion.

This series started out odd I thought ... but in a typical way.... plain jane hot girl meets sexy billionaire!!! .... with the exception this hot billiionaire has a kinky twist that he notes upon the first meeting that girl has that look! First meeting is HOT.. who doesnt wish their billionaire super hot boss doesnt call them to the office and bends them over the desks and bangs you harder then you have ever had it before.... Ok so maybe not all of us have this fantasy of our current bosses but hey a girl can dream right... anyhow not to give anything away .. but HOT sex scenes but not as hot as Fifty! A bit tamer and need to use your imagine a bit. This series takes some interesting twists through out all 5 books.

highly recommend this series.

Thankfully, and I use this word very loosely, this was an Amazon freebie cos I'd be gutted if I'd have paid for it!! What a load of tosh....first in a series of 5 and I for one will not be rushing to read the others. Office temp runs off at the mouth about her boss and before you know it they're having a session over his desk!! He promotes her but tells her that her life could be in danger if she agrees to take the job. So she does what any sane person would do...she takes it. Still don't get that part if the plot to be honest. Herein follows a mad storyline peppered with sex. Totally unbelievable characters in an even more unbelievable plot.

I couldn't get into this story. Samantha is a temp working at Strauss Industries and she's unsatisfied with her job. Alaxander Strauss is CEO of Strauss Industries. Not much is revealed about the characters, so I wasn't really interested in what happened to them. Alaxander offers Samantha a new job as his personal assistant and submissive, after they have mind blowing sex. Sounds like Anything He Wants by Sara Fawkes.

don't really know what to say. it's short and to the point. .... sex.... but you get the whole story in the summary because that's about how long the story is.
I still gave it 3 stars. its not poorly written. its hot, smut and I got it off kindle unlimited. so, I didn't pay anything for it. it was worth the 3 stars.

This was a joke, plain and simple. It was far too short for the readers to get a sense of the characters and their development. I see this will be a series full of smut, but we still should have gotten more.

I started reading this as a book with yummy smut in it, realized it was more like porn without plot, which I can read and enjoy, but when you start counting fingers *squint* and wonder "how can he do that?"
That´s when I give up reading.

This book did not do it for me. Plot totally unbelievable and the writing amateurish. This was a kindle freebie which is a saving grace. The sex scenes steamy but plot laughable in its entirety, even fairytales are more realistic.

Short read

This short read was interesting. You get to look inside an employee's life at a high valued job but it's on my temporary. With just one comment about the CEO she has started a new adventure as being his assistant and his on call sexually submissive girl.

Meh. I didn't really like this one. Way to short for one and two the characters were a bit flat to me.
