I've studied the French language on and off for the last 28 years and I feel like I know the language fairly well. I haven't had too many opportunities to use it, however, so it's always good to dust the cobwebs off.
I will be spending some time in France and working with a French team, so I am working hard to refresh the points of grammar and relearn common vocabulary words. This set is also useful to help me practice my conversational skills, although sometimes a glass of wine works wonders, too.
This book offers a comprehensive overview of French grammar, with 4 audio CDs that follow along with 20 lessons in the book. The dialogue is certainly not for beginners and I love listening to the people speak at normal speed, since it will help me understand and speak more fluently. It's very thorough, but I would recommend using it as a review, rather than a primer to learn.
I took my time with this set and I think I really learned a lot from my studies. I hope it helps!
