Cute little book about a kitten getting lost. Though I would advise do not feed your cat ice cream or dairy products as it can upset their tummies.

Adorable children's book about a kitten who finds his way outside, out of curiosity, and eventually gets lost. He finds an ice cream truck and decides to try some of the ice cream in a dish. Dan, the ice cream man tries to find the owner and takes him home when he can't. It is a heart warming book with colorful illustrations. I liked it a lot and would recommend it. I received a copy of a Kindle book from Goodreads Giveaways for an honest review.

I am 9 years old and I like this book about Ice Cream Kitty because I really like kitties and ice-cream and I think this book was fun to read and the drawing are really cool. I really liked the other book in this series too called Chickadee Chick.

In Ice Cream Kitty the books’ main character is a cute little kitten called Tommy and he followed a butterfly out of his house and then he got lost! He had to be looked after by Dan the Ice Cream Man who found him. Tommy was now an Ice-cream Kitty. Bobby and Joey his owners, and his cat family Mrs. Cat and Casey were really worried about him and his owners went searching for Tommy the Ice Cream Kitty. But luckily he got back home to the Bennett Family.

I think if my cat went missing I would be super worried too and my family would go looking for my cat Princess Fluffy just like the family in this book. Princess Fluffy really likes Vanilla Ice-cream like Tommy the Ice-cream Kitty and I thought that was funny they both liked vanilla ice cream. =) And like the other book in this series there was fun activities at the end of the book. Me and my little brother really like all the activities and our best ones are the color by number, connect the dots and the maze. We both think this book is heaps of fun and can’t wait to read more books like this one. =(^.^)=

A lovely, touching and heartwarming sweet story like ice-cream and kittens about a little kitten named Tommy who follows a little butterfly out of the home and gets out on the road and gets lost, and when Tommy was on the road he heard music playing, it was coming from a big truck down the road, Boys and girls were gathered around eating ice cream,
Tommy said :I think I'd like some too!
The owner of the ice cream truck was very kind when he saw Tommy, he put some ice cream in a dish and gave it to Tommy.

And he asked the children around the ice cream truck :to whom does this little kitten belong?
But no one has seen it before.
So he promised Tommy that he would take with him to his home and look for her family tomorrow.
And at afternoon the next day, he took Tommy with him in the ice cream truck to the town, he made a cute little hat for Tommy and wrote :ice cream kitty on it 🍦😻🍦
and said to Tommy :we will find your family, don't worry.

Until a little girl who was buying ice cream got to know Tommy and the kind-hearted man
found Tommy's home and brought it back to his family...
I loved the story so much,
People's hearts should be like this man's heart, kind and warm 💜💜

I love ice cream and I love kitties, so what better combination for a children's book could there be? This is the 2nd book I have read in this series and have greatly enjoyed both so far. One thing that surprises me is how vastly different the two stories I've read in this series happen to be, even though both are sweet, cute, and charming. The illustrations are great and the story for Ice Cream Kitty is one that is quite common (a lost pet), but the way this author addresses the problem is truly unique. As with the first book in this series (Chickadee Chick), this story also includes some great extra activities at the end for kids (puzzles, games, coloring) which are sure to give kids a fun way to relate to the characters and plot even after reading time is over.

I received a copy of this book through the Goodreads Giveaway program in exchange for an honest review. This is a cute, quick children's story about a kitten who wanders outside and gets a bit lost, and his adventures while he is away. Found by a kind ice cream truck-driver, Tommy (the kitten) gets to ride around in the truck sampling ice cream and playing with other kids while together they search for Tommy's family. Obviously the tale has a happy ending, and is a lighthearted tale that has an underlying message (for me anyways!) about closing the front door.

"Ice Cream Kitty" is a delightful children's book about a lost kitten named Tommy. Dan the Ice Cream man sees a mewing Tommy and places a dish of ice cream on the ground. Dan takes the kitten home with him, mean while Tommy's family is searching for him. All turns out well in the end as Tommy finds his owners. There is also activity pages for children to complete. I love this book and can hardly wait to read it to my grandchildren.
I received this book free from Goodreads in exchange for my review.

I received a Kindle version through Goodreads giveaways. This review is 100% my own.

I love cats and ice cream so the two together is just a cute start for a story. I liked the illustrations and the story was nice. I actually read it twice. My only complaint is don’t feel a Kindle version is a great way to experience it. I think this book is worth buying for a better viewing and enjoyment experience.

Tommy is a small kitten who left the safety of his home to chase after a butterfly. When he realized that his actions had caused him to be lost he feared for his safety. Tommy’s salvation is found through Dan the Ice Cream Man. He realizes that Tommy has wandered away from his owners.

Dan takes good care of Tommy; he is determined to help him find his owners. Bobby and Joey were worried when they discovered that Tommy was not at home. They searched everywhere until Tommy was returned.

ICE CREAM KITTY is a delightful story with beautiful illustrations that bring the story to life. I found that I was kept entertained wondering if Tommy would be able to find his way to his owner’s.

Nerina DiBenedetto has done a magnificent job in writing this book. I can easily see it being selected to be used in libraries and schools throughout the United States. As an education professional, I felt that it delivers an inner meaning that children should be careful of their surroundings. This reminder is vital to a child’s safety.

Cute story

Tommy gets lost and is taken in by the ice cream man until his owners are found. The story is cute and I think children 4+ would enjoy it. My 3yr old enjoyed the illustrations but got distracted about half way through the story. I think if the illustrations were on the same page as the story it would have helped or if I read a bit faster.

Tommy the cat gets lost when he visits the ice cream truck. The ice cream man takes care of the cat until a girl who knows the cat shows up, telling the ice cream man where he belongs. The illustrations are good but not great. The text falls a bit flat. I know my cats react to the ice cream truck's music, but fortunately our neighborhood lacks lots of children clamoring to get ice cream so they really only know the sound and not the contents. Young readers may come away from reading the book feeling cats may eat ice cream when dairy products can upset their stomachs. This disturbs me. The book contains activities for children, including coloring, connect the dots, a maze, and fill-in-the-blank at the end. I won an electronic copy of the book through Goodreads giveaways with the expectation of an honest review.

I am sorry, but this was not a good book. The illustrations were uncomfortable, the text was too long for the images, and my little reader kept asking to skip ahead. I found very little to cheer about this one, and will not be reading it or others like it again. The clearly home-made and hand-done "activities" at the end not only added nothing, but I actually thought they detracted from the book since they were so poorly drawn to be anything professional or public (and could either 1) not be done on a Kindle or 2) only be done once in a paper book, both of which would be very frustrating to any kid).
