The Guild: a criminal organisation that lurks in every corner of Ur'gavan. The Guildmaster: chief of that organisation. And caught between old oaths and new: Tirnam.
The prince and his friends are confronted by the Guild's brutal methods. His power challenged by the demands of the guildmaster, they must prove that Tirnam is the only ruler of the city.
Steve K Smy was born in Ipswich, Suffolk - a picturesque part of England. He has lived virtually his whole life there. He started writing for pleasure when he was 13 years old. He returned to it seriously in February 2012, following a long illness. Since then, he has written and published (in ebook form) several short stories, four novelettes and a novella, and has been working on a major fantasy novel.
He has written and published (as ebooks) stories in three series: the Thief series of fantasy short stories, the mild horror/future fiction G1: The Guardians series (two novelettes and a novella, to date) and the science fiction Captain Henri Duschelle Stories (a short story and two novelettes, so far). The novelettes and novella have now been published in paperback - contact the author for details.
Mr Smy is also a blogger with a growing readership. His blog, Imagineer-ing, is the primary point of contact for him and carries information about his works, as well as supplying a support platform for his fellow authors.
This time our heroes found out that becoming noble isn't enough to escape from the past. Thief's guild tries to get Tirnam back in it's ranks. But what are friends and all of the guards for? In short - another interesting story. I'm curious to read what's going to happen next.
Why has The Guild suddenly decided to threaten Prince Tirnam and his friend Innara?
Why does it refuse to negotiate a settlement and release them now that they are no longer part of it, worse still, why is The Guild harming innocent people?
