Ula is a wolf shifter who was kidnapped from the northern woods of Manitoba. Although she was freed from her captivity by the Cat Clan of Colorado, her sister is still missing. In the frantic moments of the liberation of the weres, she encounters Killian, a cougar were and member of the Cat Clan of Colorado.
Killian has enjoyed his friends’ recent entanglements and never thought he would encounter his own mate in such desperate conditions. He knows Ula is the one within minutes but she is urgently intent on finding out what happened to her beloved sister.
Their concurrent journeys lead them to Canada and Paris, where they will do battle to discover truths that might be too unspeakable to comprehend.
Crescent Moon is a novella of about 35,000 words. It is intended as the third in the Cat Clan series. The order is Harvest Moon, Blood Moon, and Crescent Moon.
C.L. Bevill has been in the U.S. Army, cleaned floors, a graphic illustrator, a therapist, and a stay at home mother. She lives in the Alabama area with her husband and daughter and keeps plugging away at the next great American novel.
We are back with the cat clan and this is the story of the were Ula who we met in book 1 of cat clan. she is the wolf that helped he h from that book and here she gets her own story. The H is Killian the Irish rogue who like to taunt those who have already found their mates, that apparently is not for him.
I really like that when he finally admits that the h is his mate he drinks a load of expensive booze then heads to the store to buy a literal ton more. I suspect if he drinks it all he wont need a bad guy to kill him the alcohol poisoning will do it for him.
He rescued her from the facility in book 1 and they were caught in the blast that wiped out the building, she was too busy looking for clues to find her sister to escape in time. As a result her leg/ankle was badly broken and its set wrong leaving her with a limp. Our h doesn't have time to deal with that so she leaves it till sis is found. H is in love so is resigned to helping her and he meets her dad along the way. Turns out he is pretty awesome and used to head up the now evil council so he is ready for some payback on them.
This is another kick ass female who can take care of herself even with a limp, she does awesome things with a silver cane and hair pins so shes my kinda gal. I love that these books have strong females in them.
Of course they get their HEA and the h gets her leg fixed so she doesn't limp anymore.

It's been a while and many books ago that I had read the previous book on this series but I was able to quickly remember what the doctor had been. The way the author wrote the book really helped facilitate that. The "then" and "now" writing technique was a little hard to follow at first but it all made sense in the end.
Once thing I would have liked to see is more character development for Killian and Ula. I feel like the book just rushed through the storyline without pausing to develop the relationship and mating bond that were experiencing. There was no "can we really work out as a couple" and it felt assumed that all would be good and work out.
The environment was good and varied. I enjoy reading the cat clean novels by this author but the first books on the series was better according to me.
This was a really good third book in this series. The story was fresh and with all this jumping back and forth in the reading time-line it made the whole book look well rounded and thought through. I enjoyed it a lot! Recommended!
I'm a big fan of the Cat Clan books, and this one ties into that series. Her characters are always well-developed, her plots strong, lore interesting, and I love how we get to see all of the characters throughout the books, so that we're updated even after their individual story ends. A+ would definitely recommend!
A good edition to the series, but I think the characters story could have been fleshed out a bit more and it seems that this was a bridge story to the next book.
Lillian of the cat clan finds his mate and the chase is on because this she wolf is trying to find her missing sister as we head to Paris and were Council.
I really enjoyed this book but was actually a bit disappointed as I felt that Killan and Ula have been short-changed in the romance department. This story wraps up a lot of loose ends but also continues with the bigger story that arcs through these books. In fact, I would say that was where this book lay, in opening up the storyline rather than giving Killan and Ula their time to cement their bond. I personally felt that Killan deserved better. Saying that though, this was still a brilliant novella with more twists and turns than the catacombs in Paris! I'm wondering where this series will go next.
The only thing that concerned wolf shifter Ula was finding her sister. The last thing she wanted was a mate. Cat shifter Killian was at the research facility helping his alpha rescue his mate and other captives when he comes across his mate Ula. He is determined to claim his she wolf but she's stubborn and fierce and will kick his butt if he stands in her way. This story shows even in the supernatural world love is never easy but it's a heck of a ride.
I enjoyed this more than Blood Moon but maybe that was just an issue with not reading them straight one after another. It may also have something to do with the fact there seemed to be more action in this. I also liked the "then" and "now" method; it was different and kept me interested.
