For some, death is not the end. There are those who are doomed to walk the earth for all eternity, those who are trapped between one plain of existence and the next, those who, for whatever reason, cannot or will not let go of the lives they left behind. These are the vengeful spirits, the tortured souls, the ghosts that haunt our realm. Welcome to FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE, a collection of 19 original ghost stories

4.5. This is a solid collection of ghost stories from a variety of authors. From Beyond the Grave is the debut anthology from Grinning Skull Press, a solid collection of ghost stories from a variety of authors. In the introduction, editor Michael Evans states “When I first set out to compile this anthology, I challenged the authors to scare the crap out of me, but they did more than that. Yes, they sent chills down my spine, but they also moved me in ways I wasn’t expecting.” Evans is correct—this collection of 19 ghostly tales is eclectic and intriguing. Personally, I couldn’t put it down. Overall, I found this collection to be above par—no real clunkers found amid its pages—and a good, creepy read.
Let me start by saying this is one Collection of Ghostly Tales that will not disappoint, and Michael Evans editing is quite superb. Now these tales as a collection are spine tingling and some jaw dropping to say the least but I must say each author brought a unique and special kind of story telling and weirdness to the table. I especially liked Jennifer Word's tale "It all comes around in the end. She gives you a good old fashioned creepy story and page turner for sure. Tim J. Finn shows us that it's not always good to be ahead in the game so to speak lol in his tale "Late one night at the local radio station , Circa 1984 ' which I also quite enjoyed. Cynthia Ward shows us that Love can lead us to a very dark and lonely place with her enjoyably frightening tale " In a lonely place". I think the story I was really hooked to was "Spiritus Ex Machina" by Nelson W. Pyles it was very cool and quite a fun read for me. I could go on and on about each and every author but there are 19 of them and each one is excellent and has made this book a great success in my opinion. Definitely series material and I give it 5 stars and I definitely recommend that all Ghost and horror story lovers pick up or download their copy today :) ~Lisa
Quite an interesting mix of ghostly tales. I enjoyed the different takes on ghosts and spirits, and would definitely suggest this collection to anyone who enjoys a spooky tale. I especially enjoyed Spiritus Ex Machina by Nelson Pyles, Progress by Jay Wilburn, Fourth Gable From the Right by Robert Walker & The Chambermaid's Secret by Adam Millard. I also have a story included in this collection, titled "From the Depths". I think I am included in a pretty wonderful collection.
