Jack Ryker #1

My Nights With Kate

Rate this book
Fashion mogul Jack Ryker was simply looking for an uncomplicated relationship, after several lonely years following the death of his wife. Once he met Kate however, he quickly realized there was much more to her than beautiful eyes and sexy legs. Experiencing feelings he hadn't felt in years, Jack found himself reliving the past while struggling to rationalize a relationship with a woman 3 years younger than his daughter.

Kate was a 4th year college student, struggling to make ends meet. As a last resort she posted her profile on a Sugar Daddy site, just as her roommate Jackie had done. Choosing from dozens of contacts, she chose one that seemed to be the most benign. Little did she know, she was about to meet her long time industry idol and embark on a month long tryst that would leave her life forever changed.

A red hot affair transforms into an explosive love story, My Nights With Kate will take you away and add some heat to a cold winter night!

Oh dear -- someone who loves the author told her she can write and should publish. I disagree -- she may have a story(-ies) to tell but she also needs some MAJOR editing and rewriting. My biggest issue was the ridiculous overuse of exclamation points! after every utterance! especially by the male lead, a 49 year-old successful businessman! I am pretty sure most men (let alone adults of any gender) don't exclaim after every sentence!

So Jack is the male lead in question; he is a widower and depressed. He leads a four billion dollar fashion enterprise.

Kate is a 22 year-old fashion design / merchandising student who is in financial straits. Thanks to her roommate's urging, she posts a profile on a "seeking a sugar daddy" website, which Jack happens to visit. He is instantaneously taken with her photos and then, when they meet a few days later, he is taken with her personally. So taken with her, in fact, that he decides to invest a lot of money and even more time into making her business proposal a reality.

Um, okay. I can suspend a certain amount of disbelief but this strained credulity too far.

The sex was, for the most part, fine, and that may be the author's forte.

An ultimately disappointing and uninteresting read.

I mightn't have been moved to leave a review if the author herself hadn't excoriated other honest and fair one-star review writers. That is in such poor taste and equally poor form.

4 Stars

An unconventional romance between 2 people who didn't see it coming. An interesting concept and a fast read due to the flow of the story.

I would have given 5 stars except for 2 factors.

#1. There were a couple of times the author went into to much detail about things I didn't feel influenced the story. They were a bit like filler. A waste of space.

#2. The lack of excitement, or intensity in certain areas that I felt should have been explored better.

That said, these things were more than overcome by the rest of the writing. The areas that are steamy leave you panting and wanting more. You understand both Kate & Jack. Why they feel the way they do about how their family members & friends will see them. Their fears make sense. The story makes sense & I did enjoy it. Very well written with only one editing problem that I saw. So was probably a misprint of the word.

So, it's been a while since I finished this book, so my thoughts aren't exactly fresh. But I thought it deserved a review, so here goes:

After reading some of the GR reviews, I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. Yes, the whole age thing (college student Kate is 22, billionaire widower Jack is 49) at first icked me out. What could they have in common, I thought. (btw, Kate is 3 years younger than his daughter) And there was a constant focus on Jack's age, which got annoying at times. Yes, Jack was 49--but a young, virile 49--thanks to those weekly testosterone shots which made him stallion-like!:) But just when I was forgetting about the age difference, the author would bring it back up again. I get it, I get it, Jack is waaay older than Kate, but my god, between the author and what's going on inside Jack's head, you'd think he was 69 instead of 49!

Jack... doesn't he look young?...

Anyhow, the whole Kate is about to become a world famous designer just-like-that was kind of unbelievable, but I chose to go along with this fairytale aspect of the story. Jack was just like a sugar-daddy with an incredible sex drive (it's the testosterone!) for Kate. To be fair, they did have fashion in common, and Kate did seem more mature than 22...but what happens if Kate wants a family some day, and Jack is all "been there, done that"? Can a man about to sell his company and sail around the world be on the same page as a young woman just starting out in her career? Can this relationship ever work when they are at different stages in their lives?

I do want to mention that while the love/sex scenes were numerous, somehow I almost found them a bit clinical. As if maybe written by a man? Maybe my imagination since I think most were from jack's pov...

What surprised me the most was that I actually got teary-eyed at the end. Jack was really a good guy, and I do believe that he loved Kate. It made me feel sad about their age difference and about the reality of the world in which we live.

To sum up--I was interested enough to keep reading, even if parts of the story initially bugged me. I ended up liking the characters, and actually rooting for their relationship to work. I know there's a follow up to this story, and one or the other is going to have to compromise for this relationship to work. As Jack's daughter would say, "What's more important than love"? 3 1/2 to 4 stars

TO BE WITH A MAN LIKE JACK RYKER WOULD BE SUBLIME!, May 3, 2013

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: My Nights With Kate (Jack Ryker) (Kindle Edition)

I've been waiting for a man like Jack Ryker...at last, I found my dream book boyfriend! ( stand aside ladies, he's mine! :) ) I can see why some gets turned off by the age difference but by golly, who cares? He's super uber hot in bed ( red chili pepper hot! )with a stamina of a stallion, ooh baby! to be with a man like Jack would be a dream come true. A gentleman in the true sense of the word, compassionate, a handsome successful billionaire, he makes simple little things sublime.

I couldn't think of anything else to add to what other reviewers have already said except to say, this is a true love story. So touching you can feel the dilemma of both Jack and Kate about their age difference and status in life. But all that didn't matter, their strong physical attraction to each other turned into a sensational love affair so soul consuming. Even the most cynical mind would be affected with that one special night they shared together, and that letter, wow! it was written straight from the heart I can't get it off my mind. You have to read this, the synopsis doesn't equal the intensity of this story, it is so much more. Besides, it is so well written you'll be treated to a fantastic experience as Jack and Kate ventured into many different deep waters of Puerto Rico, so explicitly and vividly described you could almost feel like you were there with them seeing the beautiful colorful creatures of the sea. Wow, Ms. Stone truly has a very creative mind.

Love this book...

Okay so I get why some readers could not get into this book due to the age difference. However I myself could care less. I think it just goes to show that love and relationships are not all about the typical standards set forth by society. First of all Jack was written as a well maintained good looking, passionate, careing and desirable man. Kate's character was very mature for age and had a lot of spunk. I also understand that the met in a less than desirable way but then again it was a nice change. I think the author did a great job with an indepth detail of each character and his/her feelings. Also the sex seens were HOT and kept the story ALIVE!! I am also torn with "Jackie" situation... I dont hate that it happened because it opened Kate's eyes... As you will read in this story everything happens for a reason and I think the scene was just a part of what needed to be done to set other things in action.

Its a fun read and I can not wait for book two... It does not have a huge cliffhanger so waiting for book two will be manageable... all though sooner rather than later would be nice :)

DAMN! Someone better tell me there is a book 2 because the way this one ends is making me crazy. From the author description-- Fashion mogul Jack Ryker was simply looking for an uncomplicated relationship, after several lonely years following the death of his wife. Once he met Kate however, he quickly realized there was much more to her than beautiful eyes and sexy legs. Experiencing feelings he hadn't felt in years, Jack found himself reliving the past while struggling to rationalize a relationship with a woman 3 years younger than his daughter.

I started reading this due to all the positive 5 star reviews on Amazon. I was not impressed at all. The story was sleezy, not sexy and kind of sick/perverted and creepy.

I love May/December romances, but this was just a huge no no in my book.

RECOMMENDED FOR: Readers looking for inventive "steamy" scenes and an education on the fashion industry. Or Guys who want to try a steamy romance.

The Steamy version of Pretty Woman meets the Girl Next Door meets Ready to Wear

This book seems to be written by a male author attempting to jump into the erotic romance genre. While much of the book works, all characters but Jack (the protagonist) are flat. Even Kate, the object of Jack's affection is flat. AND all main characters end up with their own monologues in their own POV. The writing is OK, but it feels forced and stilted.

Kate is 22 to Jack's 49; no issue with the age difference. But I do have issues with how Kate is portrayed: the All-American wholesome sex goddess with only 3 prior boyfriends who never had the big O during sex but somehow knows all about naughty, inventive, and adventuresome sex acts. Additionally, the sex scenes (of which there are many) seem to be based on every male's fantasy, including a menage with Kate and her roommate Jackie. Most offensive is the lack of discussion about birth control, safety, or health. Ever. No. Condoms. Not. Sane. Especially not for someone you just met, I don't care how hot!!!

Jack and Kate meet through a SugarBaby.com web site (or some such name), where 20-somethings post profiles and "tastefully nude" pictures advertising for Sugar Daddies - rich, older men looking for "something-something". The Sugar Babes even include their monthly financial requirements.

This "meet-cute" is fairly original, but all male. Jack stumbles on the site as he's looking for the "what's next" in his life. He's selling his billion-dollar fashion company at the end of the month. His kids are grown, and he's been a widower for the past several years. Of course, Jack is drawn to Kate (or Mila) based on her photos and "honest" profile. He arranges to meet her at a very uptown, expensive restaurant, that just happens to be part of an uptown, expensive hotel. And he's reserved the penthouse suite. Think he's attempting to create a Dear Penthouse letter? Oh yeah.

Kate, it turns out, knows Jack, because she's a fashion designer major at his alumnus. Her mom is a buyer for a major department store. So the physical chemistry turns into emotional/mental chemistry, as Kate explains her idea to design affordable, yet classy attire for the American business woman. Jack takes off with this idea, and before dinner is done, he's proposed a 50/50 partnership with Kate to get her line up-and-running within 6 months.

Don't forget the penthouse... or her financial requirements for her Sugar Daddy, Jack. He escorts her to their room for the evening and promptly hands her a check for $10K. Wowsa! And they get busy quickly. Most offensive is the complete lack or hint of any birth control issues and no condom or health/safety issues. These two people are completely trusting that the other has no STDs or AIDs, and he takes it for granted that she's using some reliable form of birth control and not trying to trap him into marriage. UGH! (Another reason why I believe the author is male. Men just don't think about these things. They take what they can get, and take for granted everything is taken care of.)

We don't learn until 2/3rds of the way through the book that Jack had a vasectomy almost 20 years ago. He doesn't bother to tell Kate, and she doesn't bother to ask.

The story is an attempted melding of shrewd business acumen, an inside view of the fashion industry, and every American male's fantasy - no-strings attached, secret relationship. OK, I guess to be fair, it's also the American female fantasy of finding the rich, educated, intelligent, kind billionaire to set you up for life in the business of your dreams.

There are several ICK factors, such as when Jack realizes that he and Kate probably won't last for the long haul. So he tries to set her up with his SON! Yeah... imagine those Sunday dinners and family reunions.

The book is entertaining... educational (about the fashion industry).... and steamy in a most inventive and adventuresome way (at least for this reader). AND you can visit Jack's web site to view his profile and become a VIP member with access to Kate's SugarBaby.com photos... Again, this has to be a guy who wrote this. Who else would think of a VIP membership?

The ending leaves it open for a possible sequel... unless I get it for free, I don't think I'll bother.

This is a wild, sexy, emotional romp describing the blossoming relationship between a middle aged billionaire and a young college senior. Jack is a widower dreading the end of a successful career as he plans the multi-billion dollar sale of the business he built with his late wife. He hears a televised advertisement and discovers pictures Kate posted on a website designed to link wealthy men and financially strapped women. Sugar Daddy city -- sign me up! When the two “hook up” in every sense of the word, sparks fly! The book follows their journey as they fulfill needs in each other (no pun intended) and attempt to hide their relationship from her mother, his mother, his adult children and assorted business associates.

The location and event descriptions are well crafted, the characters are sufficiently portrayed such that you feel their emotions, the sex is frequent and steamy and the plot moves quickly. An underlying theme revolves around the fashion industry. Jack’s business is retailing, Kate is a fashion merchandise major and amateur designer, Jack’s children and Kate’s mother all are involved in the industry (at some point).

My primary concerns about the book: It is part of an apparent serialization popular these days and loved/loathed by readers. It also dealt extensively with an industry that has seen major declines in the US (i.e. loss of manufacturing jobs to foreign countries). Consequently the depictions of that decline and the details of the overall industry were both informative and confusing. At times I was not sure if I was reading an erotic romance or one of my college textbooks. The author does do a good job in bringing you back into the emotion of the book after each educational component. Also as a non-practitioner, the descriptions of the yoga positions left me scratching my head.

This is an adult novel with explicit sex including F/F and F/M/F. Bonus material is provided via a website with pictures of Jack, Kate (holy cow who IS that girl!!!!! I want her eyes!!!!!) and Jack’s yacht (drool). Think Escada from Fifty Shades of Grey. An enjoyable read and I will be looking for the next chapter in the series.

I really was looking for a hot sugar daddy story, with a lot of sexy time between an older hot interesting man and a young juicy woman.

What I got was a boring togetherness, which didn't pep up, even not with that

Maybe the story would have been more interesting with Jackie as his girlfriend but to be honest... Jackie was really a pain in the ass. But so was Jack.. Argh..there were so many things I just don't liked about him! And Kate, well, nothing special. I just don't felt connected to non of all those characters. Not at all.

Was it just my feeling or was there almost no emotion at all? What was the point of that whole story anyway?
Yeah there was a lot jabbering about the fashion industry and how the business goes. Should that have kept me gripped to the story? I didn't.. sorry.

When the story started, both went to the sexual part quite quickly.. What I don't mind, don't get me wrong. But I wish there would have been more forbiddance caused due to their age-difference of many 27 years! Some arts of seduction, more temptation to the forbidden fruits or something like that... What I got was great disappointment. Unfortunately, but that's what I think.

This was such a good and STEAMY book!!

***Spoilers***

I couldn't stand Jackie!!! She was a poor example of a friend....ughhh. I know some people have opinions about people dating/or being married when there's age difference but my goodness I really felt the undying love between Jack & Kate, and I cried so hard towards the end of the book. My husband asked me why was I crying. I lied and said it was my allergies....LMAO!!!

My only disappointment is that there wasn't an epilogue. Or maybe there will be another book:) I damn sure wouldn't mind. I look forward to reading more books from this author.

Dreadful - couldn't even finish it. Definitely do not recommend. Kate seems to mostly get off on who Jack is (she can't wait to tell her best friend who she is sleeping with) and Jack suddenly has the sex drive of a 19 yr old.

This book had so many great reviews, but I was completely let down. The characters were unbelievable and the dialog made it even worse. Jack was constantly reminding Kate of his net worth. Kate lacked any personality. Other than steamy sex the book was incredibly flat.

I read the first chapter and was so disturbed that I had to stop reading the book. The thought of someone WANTING to be a "sugar daddy" to a "sugar baby" with someone who is younger then his own daughter is not what I would consider a good read. No thank you!

I read this book a while ago, and my apologies to the author, since I forgot to write a review. I enjoyed the book, but thought the plot could have moved a little quicker. I also felt that the strings that tied Jack's kids with Kate and the story, could have been stronger and more compelling. That said, I read the book in one sitting and would recommend this author for not only the story, but for the writing style. It was an easy read with enough steam to keep the genre-lovers occupied. :-)

I have laughed and cried so much while reading this book. Jack and Kate just mesh. They are perfect for each other, but age gets in the way. Jack is so brilliant in his business and his life it is scary. I can't wait to read the next two books.

I absolutely hated this book. For the life of me, I cannot understand why this book has gotten so many rave reviews. Jack found her on a sugar daddy website. He contacted her and after tons of sex, he fell in love. WTF!!! This dude is a successful business man and billionaire. He sure is stupid. Those hormone shots were obviously making him lose his mind. He was having unprotected sex with a strange girl that he found on a website looking for a man to take care of her. Who knows how many men she could have slept with. She was 2 years younger than his daughter. GROSS!!!

I was especially freaked out because he kept thinking of his dead wife at what I felt like were inappropriate times - like during sex. OMG, that's also GROSS.

The book alternated between sex and detailed descriptions of the fashion business. I could care less about the fashion industry. I chose this book because I thought it was a romance. Well, I didn't think it was romantic in the least. I thought Kate was being paid for sex, which made her an official prostitute. I wanted to step into my Kindle and warn Jack, that if she would sleep with him, she will sleep with the next man who had something to offer.

And what he was trying to do with his son, really freaked me out. Good lord Jack, are you insane? How did you earn these billions of dollars again.

Of course, Kate thought she was in love with Jack. Of course she was, he was giving her everything that she could imagine. She loved the life style. She was getting the business that she had always dreamed of. I wondered what was the point of introducing her friend, Jackie into the story. Was it to show that Jack was a good guy, or that Kate was a wonderful person who was being abused by her friend? Whatever, at least Jackie, was real about what she was.

I just didn't like the story line and I really didn't like the ending. But, I must say that the sex scenes were HOT!!!

I give. I hate not finishing a book. In fact, I think this is only the second one I've given up on...but I just couldn't do it.

The premise intrigued me but the delivery was just awful. The writing is really poor - the dialogue is stilted, the characters are flat and their complete and total lack of maturity and common sense (not even a thought or mention of condoms when you are having sex with someone you found on a 'sugar daddy' website...really???) was just ridiculous. Jack's overblown ego about his wealth and his really awkward memories of his dead wife during sex with Kate were just part of the problem. The fact we got all sorts of mention of his stamina being due to his hormone shots was just icky. Kate came across as a complete bimbo - so it was hard to believe she was supposedly a talented design student worthy of building a business around.

I'm all about suspending logic a bit to enjoy a well written story but that's not what it would take for me to get through this book. It's hard to fathom there are more that follow it.

The kindest thing I can say about it is it was free...and even that was overpriced.

I'm diving back into the Kristen Ashley backlist STAT - I need to cleanse my brain of this garbage.

Rating a 3 out of respect for author. My personal rating is 1 star, but I feel it is because of my age. Being a 58 yr old woman, I cannot fathom why a 49 yr old man would want a 22 yr old girl for anything other than arm candy and sex. The author has made Jack (the 49 yr old widower) sound like the perfect man. He's got money, maturity without being old, keeps in shape, kind, generous, wise, giving in bed. Yet, he goes for a 22 yr old. It just doesn't seem to fit Jack's personality. He knows better than that. Jack is looking for a relationship, not just sex and a 22 yr old from an on line "sugar daddy" site is not where to find a relationship.

I couldn't finish.
Kate and Jack are on their 1st "date" and end up in bed. Jack waited for HER to make the 1st move. Yea, right. He's just too nice.
In bed Kate asks "What do you like?" Jack's answer..."Honestly, what I like most is giving a woman multiple orgasms".
OH COME ON! Really? Stick a finger in my mouth and make me gag!

This is my kind of book because it starts off quick and doesn't let up the whole way through. So many books get bogged down in endless dialogue (even if they are supposed to be erotic), but this one had a nice balance. The way Kate kept trying to out-do Jack and vice-versa added some fun and laughs to the story.

Jackie was a piece of work that most of us can relate to. I had a "friend" like that in high school who was always trying to steal my guys! I was glad to see her properly dealt with! :)

Jack had me in tears at about 95% of the way through, but there was a very nice twist right at the end. Loved it!

Found this book after reading a review for a totally different book that well didn't sound that great but this one was AWESOME! You are pooled into the world of Jack and Kate so fast it's crazy. There are TONS of hot love scenes and a crazy twist at the end.

Having already had love, power, and a successful business it's easy to see Jack make Kate a "project" but nothing is so easy when hearts are involved. With 2 grown kids older then Kate and history with her family it's easy to see there will be twist. Add to a jealous best friend and a wicked 3-way and you've got an awesome book

I REALLY enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one from this author. However, parts did bother me. The 2 biggest things were they way they met and their age difference. There were times I felt like she could be considered a prostitute - for the "extras" she received by being in a relationship with him. Even though this stuff bothered me, I couldn't put it down and read it a second time. Both times, the ending brought tears to my eyes.

In the end, he even suggests his son pursues her. However, I really enjoyed the characters and could feel the connection between them.

I stopped reading at 24% because I just don't like the story. This could have been a nice Pretty Woman (ok, we already have that one, but I wouldn't have mind another one), but instead it was a "Sugar Daddy gets a Sugar Bunny and they do it like bunnies". Admitted, the book states exactly that on the cover, but I had hoped for more. And my biggest problem is, that I don't like the 2 main characters, they could have dropped down dead, and I couldn't have cared less. The only thing I'm annoyed about is the money I spent on the book. Ugh

I'm sorry but no one speaks to each other this way...over use of each other's names for instance...Kate Jack Kate Jack back and forth, excessive exclamation points, horrible writing style if you ask me. I wasn't able to finish as the conversations seemed so phony and the storyline developed really fast(sex and a business proposal right away) and ridiculous. Good plot concept but not well executed.

REAVALUATING Some of my thoughts: I will change some of the comments I put below. But majority of what I felt was true. Though I decided after I put my emotions in check I was going to read thru it. Still make some criticisms:
1. TO LONG~ couldn't we cut some of the chapters. There are still two more parts to their saga.
2. I wish the discussion of protection, pregnancy etc. would have come up sooner. That is why I was so furious about hours this relationship started.
3. For an intelligent man to take hormones to endanger his health. Not a smart move...
4. Not into the fact he was going to pawn off his lover to his son. Nor did I like that she was watching him. Though I will say, thank you for not having Brandon judge, ridicule or think his dad was being unfair or immatures to be interested in her.
5. Hate JACKIE. But that is the idea? Right? I hate selfish, manipulating people! Thank you for not having her blackmail or a video of that little escapade. (Don't know what happens in rest of series) I have written in past reviews, that if I get emotionally involved, in a situation, in a story. It means that the author is a good story teller. So I will say the same thing here. If you get me angry, upset of a story plot then it must mean the author is projecting what she wants the readers to feel? Right?
6. That being said, I cried when I read the letter that Jack left for Kate. My god, he put all his heart, soul & emotions into that letter. Their last night together, I could feel them both realizing what was happening.
I didn't enjoy Jack sacrificing that he loved her. But I am glad that both characters admitted what they felt. As Jack said, Kate did bring him back to life.
Thank you for also showing us that Jack wasn't the perfect man in his college years. It shows you what a young, arrogant boy thinks over a man her has learned, scarified, & changed to be a better person as a whole. For themselves & the partner they chose to be with.
Obviously Jack & Eva's life when they married had passion, love, respect & heartache & honesty. Thank you for making Jack to be a real gentlemen & everything he appears to be with Kate. Not an act.
I also appreciate that his children wanted him to be happy. Thanks for not making some chapter about them not excepting it. Then eventually they do. What mature children. We raised by good parents. HAHA. Changing starts to a 3.5. Could have made it more but I need to know what happens to the characters in the next two chapters of the series.
UPDATE ABOVE:

Let me first state I am a prude! That being said, the fact I'm reading these type of story plot is me being open minded. Let me thank the other reviewers thoughts. I was afraid I was going to be the only one hard on this review.
1st we have Jack, a 49 year widower who leads a four billion dollar fashion enterprise. Who is on a mid life crisis. Hasn't had sex in decades. Is wanting to retire & give the company to his 25 year old daughter.

Jack is just mesmerized by Kate the 22 year old-Design/ merchandising student who is in financial straits. Once he views a few Photo's on the sugar daddy website & then speaking to her briefly. Their dinner date goes from 1 to 100 in one night.
Jack is a perfect gentlemen until Kate decides to make the first move. But they never talk about protection, or pregnancy. Its beautiful that he treats her like a lady, by putting her desires first.
To have Jack is so smitten by her... that he is going to invest $$ into her school project plan seems a little to soon. They decide not to go in the arrangement of a sugar Daddy & to being business partners for here fashion line? What with French benefits. Come on....
Let's not forget, Jack donates 5 million to the fashion U to have Kate's professor get her out of the remaining semester to finish her proposal in the real world.
Then we have the Jealous roommate, Jackie, who has now threatened to out Kate to her mother if she doesn't get a modeling contract or have a Ménage.
Kate asks Jack & he is agreement to both requests. Is he really that blind? Anything for Kate? But then he fall for Jackie's manipulation seduction just because he is on hormone treatments. Again Really!
After Jack stated he didn't trust Jackie after she tried to make a pass at him the moment Kate was out of the room.
Is he so desperate to fulfil his own sexual emptiness. I guess what they say that men all their D*() doing the controlling is true.
That he has lost his brain & forgotten what type of woman Jackie really is.

Jack is the one that says Kate is wise for her years. He wants his daughter to become Kate' partner. This woman who is so easily influences by Jackie. Allow her to have her so called friend come for a three some to Paris. Childish!
Again no discussion about protection with Jackie in the mix.
Before they all go on their trip, Jack decides he needs to get more hormone treatments to fulfill young women's desires.
Their are some moments where the two characters hit it off & have things in common. But the moment the author decided to have Jackie be part of their relationship I just got disgusted. Have a manipulator. Please! It made both characters dumb in my mind. Jackie even controlled Kate during their escapades. I got so disgusted I choice not to finish the story.
Now for anyone who wants a bunch of wild sexcapades, then this is your book.

This book was just a hot mess. I struggled to finish it. Jack and Kate were both hard to connect with, or even like. There were other random points of view thrown in, and that didn't add anything to the story. It could have been a great May/December romance, but the execution wasn't there.

The ending was a cliff, but I don't care enough to struggle through another book.
