She's back, and this time it's all about revenge.Tall, dark, and handsome bestselling male author Xavier Preston thought his nightmare--in the form of Pilar, a fanatical stalker/fan--had finally ended. Little does he know it's only beginning. When Xavier met Pilar, he got much more than he bargained for. What started out as an erotic one-night stand quickly turned into a dangerous game of obsession and pain, with both parties playing to win. Then she simply disappeared.Stunning Pilar hasn't gone away, though. In fact, she has been very near, watching his every move and patiently waiting for him to realize they were meant to be together forever. She still believes they're soul mates, and the only option for her is "Until death do us part." If she can't have Xavier, then no one can. Now no one is safe--not his friends, and definitely not him. Revenge can be a real killer.
This book was funny to me but its sad it happens too often. Alot of women are attracted to the IT GUY you know the kind that has money, cars, clothes and educated but they arent thinking with the brain upstairs! So many warning signs but when sex is involved good sex that is some find it hard to run the other way!
Have you ever loved someone and hated them at the same time? Meet Pilar. Her obsession with Xavier Preston has reached an all time high, again. She is still reeling from being shunned by him in Diary of a Stalker, and she is backed to get revenge.
Pilar/Milan hits Xavier with a low blow by involving someone very close to Xavier in her get back scheme. No one is safe. In war, there is always some casualties. Who is going to make it out alive?
I recommend this series! It was a very well-written book. Definitely a page turner.
This was the first book that I've read by Electa Rome Parks and the second book in the stalker series and I was entertained. While the writing seemed a bit trivial at times, overall it was a quick read that deemed as entertainment from my more serious books.
Wow, capativing, compelling, and explosive phemonal, with horrifying deadly behaviors cause by a delusional young lady who suffers from mental illness.
Pilar was extremely and mentally unbalanced because of the unconditional traumas (both physically and emotionally) that stemmed from her childhood. She was not able to accept and function in reality. Her creativity was fascinatingly detailed with horrifying tense moments of extraordinary complexity where she was focused only seeking Xavier pure love and surprisingly killed or violently hurting anyone or everyone closed to him.
The storyline and writing techniques were uniquely intriguingly and influential shocked ...therefore, I highly recommend this book 😲 😯 😮 🫨
Pilar is still a mess and toying with Xavier full time. Xavier actually hasn't learned much since Pilar "disappeared". He honestly doesn't believe he leads women on by his actions which are in opposition of his words.
It was totally obvious what Bailey wanted and he still engaged her over and over despite his claim of not wanting to be in a relationship.
Dre didn't learn anything from Xavier and fell head over hills in love with Milan very quickly.
It wasn't good as the first one but it was good. Their are some mad ones out there. The plot was believable but I'm surprised that pillar life or relationships weren't looked into closer. I
Just as good as the first book! Seems like neither Pilar and Xavier will ever seem to the get their happy ending anytime soon. This book explains more of Pilar's background and what led her to become the woman she is in the first book. As much as I can understand what made her become that way, she is still so crazy of a character to me and definitely someone I can imagine in a real life setting. Make sure you read the first book first, Diary of a Stalker, to understand this one but I don't believe it would make sense if this one was read first. 5 stars worthy!
Pilar is back and she's out for revenge. I love that there was a lot of background information revealed about her life which gave us clarity on why she was so disturbed. However, I felt that the book was rushed and there was a lot of telling vs the characters doing.
Xavier still hasn't really learned his lesson from playing with women's hearts. Due to what happened with Pilar, he turned that experience into a blockbuster movie. In the meantime, he has a young impressionable Bailey to satisfy his libidinous appetite. He sees the signs of her falling for him and he still feels the need to prolong physical contact even though he knows he wants nothing more. One would think that after she says she can understand why Pilar took the measures that she did, that he would back away from what can end up putting him in another deadly situation, but having unchecked lust won't let him resist the temptation to hit it just one last time.
In The Stalker Chronicles, Xavier's best friend Dre has a bigger role in the book. Even though he wasn't around Pilar in the first book, surely he's seen photos of her especially after being plastered all over with help from the media. I won't go further on Dre's story line as not to spoil it for others since its the meat of the book. Kendall also had an appearance in the book and her story left a lot of unanswered questions about her husband, the incident that occurred with her etc. This is one of the many things that when Xavier was made aware of was told instead of letting the characters have a go at it with some acting it out and dialogue vs a flashback.
We know that Pilar was going through some things from the first book, but the voices in her head that wasn't in the first installment now seemed somewhat out of place. I think had the book held the consistency from the first one it would've been a lot better. It's not a bad book by any means and I did enjoy the story, I just felt that it was rushed since a lot of stuff was told to the readers instead of letting the characters act it out which is the only reason I'm giving three stars
I’ve read several books by Electa Rome Parks and was thrilled when I finally got to meet her at the Black Authors and Readers Rock Weekend in Bowie, Maryland back in October 2014. Of course, I couldn’t resist having her sign all of my books and taking a few photos.
Anyway, in this sequel to Diary of a Stalker, Electa brings to light Pilar’s past which gives the readers a good insight into why Pilar is such a nut case. Pilar’s obsession with Xavier Preston, a celebrated author, knows no bounds and extends to any and everyone he loves. This time, his best friend Dre’ gets suckered into Pilar’s plan to teach Xavier a lesson after she resurfaces as Milan. Although she has a new look after undergoing plastic surgery, she’s still plagued by nightmares, destructive behaviors, and psychotic episodes.
There were parts of this book that was very scary and downright mean. Electa did an excellent job at crafting the characters and the dialogue was spot on. Here are a few of my favorite lines:
“I knew Xavier was a male whore, but I thought Miss My-Shit-Don’t-Stink was decent. She absolutely was not going to have her cake and eat it, too. Not on my watch. If I couldn’t have him, why should she?”
Well, crazy is, what crazy does! So, the question is whether or not Xavier has truly learned his lesson? Somehow, I feel we haven’t seen the last of Pilar!
Pilar is back and she has revenge on her mind. It's been a couple of years since Pilar and Xavier has seen each other face to face, but that doesn't mean Pilar was far away. She has tracked his every move, even going as far as breaking into his home to watch him sleep. No one is safe from Pilar... and I mean NOONE!!
Xavier is riding high off the success of his Blockbuster movie, Diary of A Stalker, but can't seem to shake his past experiences with Pilar. When strange occurrences starts happening to the people closest to him; Xavier begins to worry that Pilar has a found a way to sneak back into his life.
In this sequel, the readers are given more details about Pilar's childhood and the trauma she had to endure by the hands of a family member. If you thought you knew what Pilar was capable of.... think again.
I can always count on Electa Rome Parks to deliver a fast paced, entertaining, suspenseful page-turner. I always believed we all have a little "Pilar" in us, even if we aren't brave enough to admit it. That's why I always say Pilar is misunderstood, but after reading this selection I'm leaning more towards CRAZY.
Stalker: a person who pursues game, prey or a person stealthily. A person who harasses another person in an aggressive, often threatening and illegal manner.
Xavier Preston is a handsome, single author who has a blockbuster movie out called Diary of A Stalker named after his bestselling book of the same name. He was once engaged to a smart and beautiful woman named Kendall but because of his infidelity they have gone their separate ways. The source of Xavier's unfaithfulness, a woman named Pilar has not gone away just the opposite she is back and if she isn't happy no one will be!
The Stalker Chronicles will take you through the life of an obsessed woman and her quest to get back the person of her obsession one way or another. Electa Rome Parks has kicked up the intensity in this book and it truly has you nervous for Xavier and his loved ones. The storyline is so strong that I found my heart racing with anticipation of what was going to happen next. I applaud Electa Rome Parks, she is a very strong and consistent author who keeps her readers very, very happy with her stories. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
The Stalker Chronicles by Electa Rome Parks - 4.5 stars Pilar is plum CRAZY. Her antics are over-the-top and her patience is like that of Job from the bible. Pilar involved more people into her obsession in this book - Michael, Bailey, Dre, Khai, and Kendall. Pilar has limitless funding and can move around the country with ease (who does that, really?) The way she perfectly planned her revenge frightens me more then the actions. While Xavier was careful, it wasn't a match to Pilar's evil spirit. Xavier may lose everything he loves and even a few things he doesn't.
Parks continues to deliver in this thrilling tale of love gone bad. The characters are strong while the story development increases rapidly. There were parts that were predictable and others that made me want to slam the book down (because Xavier was a bit clueless). I really wanted more direct action between Xavier and Pilar but the behind the scenes type storyline read fast. I definitely recommend this book for those that love drama.
Yes, Pilar is back with the man of her dreams on her brain with a plan in mind as she sets out to get what she wants or you can say to keep everyone away from the man she wants. With revenge in her heart she wants to hurt Xavier by any means.
With Xavier being the man he is now very famous from his book Diary of a Stalker Xavier still has Pilar on his mind. With him moving on, but making it clear to a new lady in his life Bailey that he's not looking for a relationship. Then with his ex Kendall on his mind he ends ip telling her how he felt thinking things possible can get better or so he thought.
With his best friend Dre falling for a new woman Milan. Xavier can't believe that Dre is so in love.
With Xavier noticing things around him not always the same as he left it he ends up thinking Pilar could be behind it.
With Pilar plan into action Xavier never sees it coming.
Another good book. I enjoyed reading yet more about crazy Pilar, now I'm wonder will Pilar keep at her games for the love of her life. Wow!
Pilar/Milan is absolutely psychotic. It amazes me that she went to this extreme in order to be with someone that has shown her time and time again that he doesn't want her. Are there truly men and women who are this obsessed with someone that they stalk them to the extent that she has stalked Xavier? This is a great book filled with drama at times will make you hold your breath wondering what's going to happen next!! This book shows that there are truly casualties of war and takes a term pyrrhic Victory to an entirely different level. Pilar took no prisoners and her only concern was to get what she wanted and she just has no emotion or remorse for hurting other people. This book had me looking under all of my beds in my house before I went to sleep, although a story it makes you think twice about changing up your daily routines and who you approach and who approaches you and what their mindset may be. Absolutely wonderful.... Full of MADNESS and DRAMA.... Great job to the author. I can't wait for book 3
She's back and she's not taking no for an answer....
" The Stalker Chronicles " by Electa Rome Parks picks up two years after the events of " Diary of a Stalker. Xavier is back to his old tricks again. After narrowly escaping from the clutches of Pilar in part one, Xavier has decided to capatilize on it by bringing their story to the big screen. This starts the wrath of Pilar and no one is safe! " The Stalker Chronicles" stayed true to the original book. We get to see glimpses into Pilar's childhood, which help to explain why she is the way she is. Do I feel sorry for her...well I think every one has just a itsy bitsy little bit of Pilar in them lol. I loved it from the very first page to the last. The ending was a little rushed. I truly hope there is a part three coming!!!Electa is well on her way to becoming one of my favorite authors! 4.5 stars!!!
This is the second book of a series. I recommend that you read “Diary of a Stalker” before reading this book. I really enjoyed the first book a lot, the writing in both was mediocre, but I really enjoyed the story line. This book was not as good as “Diary of a Stalker.” The chapters are all broken down into each characters point of view, like the first book is expect Dre is added to this one. It annoyed me that Pilar’s past was put into different peoples chapters and not her own. For instance, you were reading Xavier’s point of view, then suddenly with no real transition you start learning more about Pilar’s past. Which was really covered in the first book enough. The writing in both books was not great, and I found a lot more errors in this book then I did the first one. For instance, the word should have been I’ll and it was 111. How does 111 get past an editor? I would recommend the first book, but not this one. It was more or less the same story.
"Master Manipulator & Obsessed #1 Fan" Pilar is back on the scene w/a vengeance that won't let up until Xavier pays with his last shred of sanity. 2 years hiatus & the exploitation in a blockbuster movie, the super charged cray, cray Pilar has a schematic that includes EVERY1 who crosses Xavier's path as a pawn in her game of destruction.
Just when you thought "Diary of a Stalker" was the bombdiggity.com..... "Stalker Chronicles" follows with the BIGBANG.ORG!!
Much appreciation 2 Author Electa Rome Parks 4 giving EyeCU Reading sum insight 2 the characters & listening to all our cackling! Can't wait 2 the release of the next novel, "When Baldwin Loved Brenden" drops on January 30, 2013!!!

Pilar, is back and shes coming for xavier preston and she will do any and everything to hurt him even murder. xavier preston is author of Dairy of a stalker and does he have a stalker its pilar and shes watching his every move from houston to L.A. and she waiting to get revenge and she don't care what it takes even murder if she have to and it could be his best friend. I was reading this book and if I could I wanted to jump in the book and beat Pilar for what she had did to Dre, Dre didn't do anything to her but love her she was after anything that had to do with xavier. But she got what she wanted and she will never forget it. IM thinking that Pilar will be back again soon? I enjoy reading the stalker chronicles.

WOW!! What a "good read"!! Before you read this book, you must read "Diary of a Stalker". This is the sequel to that book. If you like a true page-turner and drama in the 1st degree then read this book. But again, read them in order to get the full effect of each book. I highly recommend this book to all my GR friends & family.
Electa Rome Parks never disappoints... I've read all of her books and have loved them all. The only complaint is that the book (on my nook) was a little short (173 pages). There were areas that could have been a little more in depth. Hoping for a part 3.
I wishing that I read the first book now. I always end up reading the sequel before the first book and with a series too. Pilar was one scary character! She gives the title stalker a whole new meaning. I was actually scared for Dre and Xvaier.
This book was as good as the first one! I did skip to the end just to see how crazy Pilar was going to get. LOL This was a page turner from beginning to end! Can't wait for the next one cause I know Pilar will be back!
