I wish I could go back and reread the Secrets and Lies series all over again to experience it for the first time. BJ is one of my favorite authors, and these O’Connell brothers all hold a special place in my heart. I could never choose a favorite because as much as these guys have in common, their personalities are so different.
BREN: The Getaway was a great short read. I enjoyed getting a little more of Bren and Sky, and as with all BJ’s books from this universe, there’s the perfect balance of spice and humor! I was laughing at Bren a lot in this book. As much as he needed adult time with Sky, as soon as he got it he was missing his boys and finding reasons to call Oscar and Paige to check on them.
I can’t wait for the next book and get more of Oscar and Paige! I always loved Oscar’s humor and personality. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing any of the O’Connell brothers and their families.

Bren and Sky
Expected nothing less. Bren and Sky find it difficult to spend some alone time with the kids so they have an overnight trip planned. Oh so steamy! Love Bren’s reaction to being away. So sweet.

It was good. I liked seeing the boys, but I would have wanted to see more with the boys. I loved the end where we heard Seb say he "lubed" his Dad. I wanted more of that.

Bren is the perfect grumpy alpha who only gets soft for his wife and kids. Love him and sweet Sky together as they try to find alone time. And the steamy scenes 🥵

A Great Short Story!
What a fab short!
I’m always excited to read BJ’s books and this one was no exception.
I love the dynamics of this couple from the previous books and with this book it has only amplified.
Bren and Sky have got two very young children and are in need of a break and the help come in the form of his sister-in-law Paige and his brother Oscar (well mainly Paige!) They offer to have the boys for the night while they have a well deserved little getaway.
I won’t give anymore away, only that I was so happy to have more Oscar and am really looking forward to his and Paige’s short story knowing what is in store for them 😍

"ABOUT THAT"
One would think that with "a short" steamy read the plot would be rushed and there wouldn't be much purpose.... Aaha!!! BJ Alpha said let me bedazzle you with this little gem here... Bren: The Getaway was absolutely, delicious and of course starring your Alphahole. The heat and sizzle were definitely, brought to this and she wrapped it up with the next best Alphahole to have the next short... No spoilers here sorry 😉 SOOOOOO GOOD

This is an absolutely fabulous read! So loved reading more about Bren and Sky!
This is a perfect short story with lots of spice and laughter! Who knew Bren could be so soft behind that cool and hard exterior he has to show the Mafia world....
I absolutely loved it, the hot and spicy, the feelings but most of all love... The end... I need to know more!
An absolutely amazing read, BJ Alpha never dissapoints, so if you haven't read this, you need to get started, like straight away!

I do love me some O’Connell brothers! The Secrets and Lies series is one of my all time favourites and i love these short stories BJ Alpha gives us.

Hot, Quick and Fun!
Bren needs his Sky all the time. Bren adores his baby sons, he just needs some alone time with his beautiful wife. Bren takes Sky on a Getaway, and of course Bren’s possessive side comes out. But who decides when it is time to go home? It certainly was not Sky ;) Bren, although he is grumpy and possessive, he shows his true Poppa Bear side in the Getaway. Loved it!

Short but amazingly sexy
Oh Bren, how do you manage to make every word sexy but scary 😅
Such a lovely little story and great to peep into the world of Bren and Sky. Bren was feeling overwhelmed by his 2 boys and felt that he wasn't getting enough alone time with Sky!! But he missed his little ones and so practically drove though the night to get them from Oscar and Paige...lol

"Heartwarming Tale: Bren and Sky's Surprising Journey from Alone Time to Parenthood"
Such a cute story Bren thought he needed alone time with Sky but as Sky only knows he is a big teddy bear at heart. He missed his boys more. Plenty enough spot and spice. Bren and Sky are perfect together and great parents. I only couldn’t give it 5 stars because The daddy trope is not for me. But I still love Bren!

Hot read
Bren wants time with Sky alone as there sons keep Sky busy, A night away is full of hot scenes but we get to so the loveable Bren as well.
I love Bren character hot head but lovable as well.
Sky is just adorable the love she has for Bren and the kids is off the chart.

I’m really loving these short stories and any time we get to see the O’Connell brothers. They’re a great addition to the series.
Bren is desperate for some time away so he can be alone with Sky but does it all go to plan?
Some fantastic steamy moments and another great, hot, short read.

I love this entire series, and these short stories we are getting for each brother are to die for. Bren is my favourite out of the O'Connell men. Deliciously short with plenty of spice. Another great read.

Short and sweet story of Bren and Sky and their attempts at getting some alone time from the boys. Bren’s frustration leapt off the page with his grumbling and growling and antics.

Dirty, steamy and funny!
Dirty and funny! Bren is Bren... Sky is Sky hihi I love their craziness and how perfect they are for each other. The novela is super short and the ending made me jump lol. I cannot wait to read Oscar's shortie soon.

This is the fourth short story in the Secrets and Lies world. This book follows Bren & Sky's little getaway from their kids. At the beginning of the story, I was annoyed with Bren but he actually redeemed himself at the end of the story. Oscar, as always, is funny when he shows up!

The short story collection is a gift. I kinda miss them and I like the struggles of Oscar in here. Bren and Sky is hot and sexy, their steamy scenes are topnotch as always!

What a great catchup on Bren and Sky! This is the perfect quick read. Just enough to sate your appetite for this family of Alphas and their women. Excellent fast paced story, unrushed and definitely uninhibited.

Awe how adorable
Big bad Bren was determined to have some couple time. While away we see a new side of Bren and Oscar. I love the swing and Oscar snuggles. It's absolutely amazing how much these short stories pack a punch.
