I listened to the Audible audio version of this book. In the UK it was released under the title of 'Landmarks'. In most other places it appears as 'Inner Compass'. Margaret Silf provides an accessible and practical introduction to what is known as the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. It is accessible in that it tries to speak in the language of everyday by using examples and anecdotes from people's experiences. It is practical in that it gives suggestions for reflecting on life, for making or discerning decisions, for relationships, for exercises of prayer. It can be read both in full, or by referring to parts pertinent to questions burning for the reader. While stemming from a Catholic source, Silf's book is open to people from differing Christian backgrounds and interfaith audiences.
