Twenty-year-old Holly Pearson never dreamed that while working at her father’s motocross track she’d run into the walking, talking definition of trouble in a sexy, tattooed package—Trip Douglas, the man sent to evaluate the track for a possible investment opportunity. Holly makes no attempt to hide the fact she despises Trip, but she learns to be civil toward him when he offers to help her land the man of her dreams.

Trip needs a break from the crazy rock-and-roll lifestyle he’s been living for the past few years. With his Black Falcon band mates settling down with marriage and babies, Trip peruses an investment opportunity in motocross, something he’s always been passionate about. Hiding his celebrity status, Trip infiltrates the new business posing as a dirt bike rider training for the X-Games. The only obstacle is the owner’s daughter, Holly. She’s a real ball bustin' Ice Queen, and she’ll do whatever it takes to make the deal fall through. Trip soon discovers that winning over his new enemy is the key to gaining a partnership in Mountain Time Speed Track.

Knowing he’s the expert on getting laid, Trip ropes Holly into becoming his ally by helping her score a date with the man she’s crushing on. The problem is, the more time Trip and Holly spend together, the more they uncover the undeniable attraction between them. Soon they both realize that even the best laid plans go to hell when you find you’re falling in love with the enemy.

Rock the Beat photo 4d218137-936f-4f8e-9a87-c5d0c26d1aa7_zpsbcfd9e0f.jpg

Trip is the sexy drummer (with a twin brother) of Black Falcon. After his bandmates start to settle down and spend more time with their families, Trip tries to find something to occupy his time. After getting screwed over royally by one ex, he doesn’t see the appeal in settling down like Riff and Noel. Instead, he plays the field. Trip looks into an investment opportunity at a motorcross track that looks promising. He goes to Arizona to check it out first hand. What he doesn’t expect is to find a girl like Holly working there.

Holly is home after leaving college to help her struggling father with the family business. Her dad hasn’t been feeling well and can’t afford to pay the employees, so she does what needs to be done. While home, she finds out her hot-shot racer of a boyfriend has decided to call it quits after fooling around on her. She is upset, but thankfully has her best friend Max to lean on. After Max and Holly go to a club to blow off steam, Holly does something out of character for her. She meets a sexy tattooed stranger and almost goes home with him, Max intervenes. It just so happens she meets that very same tattooed stranger the next day at the track.

Trip and Holly have a rocky start, but the more time they spend together, the more they develop this flirty friendship. I love Trips cocky and confident self.
“Sweetheart, I haven’t even begun to charm you yet. When I do, I promise I won’t have to ask you twice to get naked. You’ll be begging for me to take you.”

After spending so much time with this girl, Trip does the unthinkable. Trip is starting to fall for Holly. Something he never thought he would do. She is still a little hung up on her ex, but there is something about Trip. Holly doesn't know who Trip is (famous rock star, potential investor), Trip is keeping that a secret for now. Both Holly and Trip have been burned by love. Can Trip convince her to take a chance on him? Or will his secrets change things for them?

Unlike the other Black Falcon books, Rock the Beat focuses more on just Trip and Holly, the band is only in a small part of the book. I missed my boys, but it was nice to see the little bit of them we did. Trip stared out as the typical rock star. Likes to go out, bring home different women every night, but something in him changes. I loved watching that change occur. Even though he was cocky and brash at times, he was also very sweet. I loved how he stood up for Max, helped Holly’s dad and how he treated Holly. Did I mention how sexy he was... yum! Holly was lovely. She was a great heroine. I loved the interaction with her and Max, and how much she cared about her father. She and Trip were perfect together! They had a great connection, and there was some definite steaminess.

Rock the Beat was a great addition to the Black Falcon series. Short, steamy, sweet, and fun. Although my favorite book (and band member) is still Riff, Trip was pretty great! Looking forward to more in this series!!!

Trip needs a change of pace. With Riff and Noel coupled up, things in the band are changing. So when an investment opportunity comes up, Trip heads to Arizona to check it out first hand. He expected a failing motor-cross track, but he never expected Holly Pearson. Holly left college to help save her father's business and to reunite with her boyfriend of two years, but nothing seems to be going according to plan. When her forever-crush breaks her heart she is suddenly engulfed in the overwhelming aura that is Trip. He wants her, but mixing business and pleasure is a recipe for disaster.

Forming a plan to help her in her attempt to get back the man she lost sounded like a great idea - I mean what can go wrong? Suddenly the man who never thought he would risk giving his heart to another girl, is falling hard and Holly can't seem to remember what the aim of their little plan is. Trip is everything that she should stay away from. Her brain knows it, her body just hasn't gotten the message. These two begin a dangerous game trying to stoke the flames of jealousy by igniting their own desire for one another.

I have to admit that Noel's story has been my favorite one and I found Riff's surprising since I was certain that I would not fall hard for him. As for Trip, he peaked my interest with his demeanor during the times Noel and Riff weren't getting along. I wasn't quite sure what to expect since the twins weren't as in your face throughout the other stories. But Trip was absolutely wonderful. He was honest (well sort of) and was much more at ease with coming to terms with his emotions. Holly was a fierce little thing and with the circumstances of everything thrown at her, was still so strong.

Trip was completely over the top in pure rock star fashion. Zero filter on this boy. He wanted what he wanted and had no issues saying it. The overall story was low on the angst but had a perfect amount of steam mixed in with a great story line. It's sad knowing we just have one last band mate to get down and dirty with.

Love this series!!! Drummer of the Black Falcon, Trip, decides to do some investing at a track. He meets Holly, who has recently been dumped. I think Trip was written for me, he was cheeky, full of himself, flirty, dirty talking.

Thing? What are we in fifth grade? It's a cock, Holly. Call it what it is

I felt like I had a permanent grin for half the book. Even though by 10% I knew exactly where this story was going, I was kept entertained by the couples interactions and the comfort of the story.

Trip: I'd say in a week it so I'll have to keep my door bolted shut to keep you from sneaking in and having your way with me

I love this book but there are a few negatives I would like to address, the main one being it was too short AND it ended at 89%!!! Secondly, I absolutely adore Trip BUT where were the other band members? Lastly, apart from Trip being the drummer, the title Rock the Beat doesn't seem to make sense with the story.

If you like short and predictable, a dirty talking rocker and a feel good romance, this is a great one to pick up x

10/31/13, yeah, it is hard to top the last books (especially Riff and Aubrey's). As a writer, you have to be satisfided with your "product", so it is better to take your time to rethink than to fail.......... I have read it without the last five pages( it did not matter). This was nothing special, nothing breathtaking, nothing better than Riff and Aubrey. It is difficult, because this couple has been turned out very well. It is a pity.

Wow.....I am kind of feeling cheated!!!!! There was no beat in this book. Prior to reading this book, I really loved the other books, and could not wait for this book to come out. Sadly It was not what I was hoping for, and I kept thinking okay they are gonna hit the road an we will get the love of the music world, the fun of all the traveling, along with all the drama that the guys give to each other. Don't get me wrong, I love the excitement of two people meeting and challenging one another with attitude just to turn around and fall in love, but with this book I was like okay, you hook up, you find a reason to enhance life, and then nothing......WTF What the hell happened to meeting the band, and these two facing some part of the dilemma of the music world together? UGGGGHHHH!!!!!! Just disappointing. I needed way more. And what about her dad???? What happen there? What about Max, and his new life and how that intertwines with everything? So many options and nothing put in print. KAPOOOIE

When Holly realizes the love if her life isnt who she thought he was (a cheating manwhore just sayin). She already had a hard time letting people in her mother just keeps hurting her father over and over again. She came home from college to help save her father motocross business and be closer to her boyfriend ...now ex boyfriend .. Time for a distraction
Yay for best friends cause Max is such a good friend to Holly. He takes her out to get her mind off of Jackson. So he takes her to a club to let lose and have some fun ..... She starts dancing

"I wanna fuck you" the stranger growls in my ear before biting my earlobe
My fingers dart out and run down his pecs before I wrap them around his neck and allow him to rock my body to the sensual breat of the song ~ Holly

"Come home with me" ~ trip

**Blushing** well oh my that was hot hot ...

Max comes to her rescue....

"Come on let's get your drunk ass home before I have to peel you off another huge mistake with a penis"

Hahah love there witty banter. When Holly wake up hungover she has to go help her dad. Like any other day she's going about her business till she see him .... The man with no name from last night. Boy was she glad nothing happened because he's there to help her fathers business (yeah she has no clue who he really is which is refreshing to him) hmmm can anyone say sexual tension ........
Trip really does want to help her fathers business. He does want something for himself. But his thoughts keep going back to Holly.

"Tell me sugar tits did the last guy get your panties in a bunch?ill be happy to untwist them . If you like you'd be amazed how it will pop that stick right out of your ass. And with a fine body like yours . I'm a great volunteer. Consider it public service " hahaha ~ trip

She thinks he's just like Jackson till he decides to help her make Jackson wish he never looked at another girl. But when it goes a little to well can they both escape with there hearts entacked.

"If it walks with a dick, and thinks with a dick..it's a guy. Trust me on this. I am one, and I know how we operate." ~ trip

Can they save the business. Will they be able to let love in read and find out what in store for these two !!

This was a fantastic read I loved watching theses two go back and forth with each other. I'd quote the whole book if I could. Believe I highlighted a lot a funny stuff. Check it out and find out what happens with trip and the rest of the hot guys from black flacon!!

Rock the Beat is another installment of the Black Falcon series featuring Trip, the band's drummer. With the BF guys on a break to spend time with their families, Trip finds a business opportunity that he's into pursuing. He meets Holly Pearson and sparks fly from there. Their relationship starts off as something it's not as they are working their way towards each other. If you like the Black Falcon series then you'll enjoy Trip and Holly's story. It's an easy read and typical of the series with H/h playing cat and mouse with each other as they work out their feelings. We get to see a brief glimpse of the other Black Falcon members. Rock the Beat sets up a nice segue to move into Tyke's story next.

I was so excited to get this book. After the last installment of Riff, which was hotter than hot and super sweet, I couldn't wait to get Trips story. I have learnt that Michelle Valentine provides us with Sweet, funny, and very sexy characters and it's hard not to fall in love woth each one as you go along.

Trip Douglas is the drummer in the band Black Falcon...(I'm a sucker for the drummer!)
Up until now, the Douglas brothers were kept pretty mysterious so i was unsure what to expect.
You want me to tell you what to expect?..Trip Douglas is Dirrrrtttyyy! He has a filthy mouth and i loved it! He's a fairly quiet member of the band, easy going, happy to go along with things for an easy life but underneath those still waters is a fast flowing river of filthy words and dirty thoughts!
He is a clever man, investing well to enable him to have his future set up incase the Black falcon band decide to call it a day. He is told of an investment opportunity at the Mountain Time speed track and goes undercover to check it out for himself. This is where he meets Holly.

Holly is the daughter of the Mountain Time speed track owner. She has returned from 2 years away at school to help her father who is struggling to keep the business afloat. She is concerned by her fathers deteriorating health which she puts down to him working so hard and worrying about finances. She's not unworldy and has a savvy brain. But when it comes to men, she is blinded by her ex boyfriend Jackson. He's her first love, or at least she thinks she loved him. He's a sexy celebrity biker and carries huge prestige. He knows how to sweet talk her and tries to wrap her around his little finger.
I cannot tell you hpw happy I was when she finally woke up and saw him for the nasty piece of work that he is. He let her down over and over.

When Trip and Holly meet, the attraction is instant. Holly tries to feign irritation with him to cover up the feeling that he strips her bare every time he looks her way.
His quick, smart, filthy mouth doesn't help her attraction but she tries to surpress her feelings as she knows a tattooed bad boy like him will only break her heart. She is blissfully unaware of his position in the band and celeb status, and makes it very clear that she would never again date someone high profile as she wouldn't risk her heart that way.
Their little game to make Jackson jealous quickly escalates. The attraction that they put on for show is very real and you can feel the chemistry bouncing between them.

'Get ready sweetness. There's a whole lot more where that came from. I'm the self proclaimed Orgasm King.'

There are some very sensitive issues dealt with in the book. I was so surprised them and I think it's the first time i've read a book that has dealt with them. What an amazing job Michelle did with it! They are definitely issues that needed addressing, they are important and took a huge role in the shaping of this book.
Don't be fooled by the seriousness of my above statement, there is plenty of Michelle's signature smut! Teamed with Love and sweetness.

'I like myself better when i'm with you. You and me-we're perfection.'

Yet another of the Black Falcon boys earns a little piece of my heart and I am definitely looking forward to Tyke's story. He's the last of the boys to find love and settle down and I can't wait to see what Michelle has in store for him.

3.5 - 4 'wash your mouth out with soap and water' stars!!

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review
I give this book 5 stars
Michelle has once again done it!!

Trip and Holly, I didn't think I could love a couple more in this series but I love these two. Trip acts like such a bad boy, but deep down inside he has got that loving, big heart ready to burst through. He has been hurt before and so he believes he is not ready to commit to anyone ever again, that is until he meets the beautiful Holly.

Holly is a beautiful soul, she seems to do everything thing she does for everyone else, her Mom left because she feels drugs were more important than her family, Holly had to quit college because her dad needed her at home to run their business with him, her boyfriend is a jerk, but she continues to love him anyway. After he doesn't show up for the 2 year anniversary dinner, she lays alone in her bed and cries, he shows up at 5 am to tell her that he doesn't love her anymore and that he has been cheating on her for a very long time. Holly is crushed. She lost her boyfriend, the business is failing, and she eats PB&J for most of her meals because they are broke. What else could happen?

Enter Trip. When Holly goes out for a night on the town with her bff Max she drinks way to much and falls into the arms of a willing man (Trip) although Max saves her from the embarrassment of her sleeping with this man, she still makes out with him on the dance floor.

The next day at work she is sitting at the desk, and in walks Trip. Long story short he is there to check out the place for a month to see if he wants to invest or not in this Mountain Time Speed Track. He lies of course and says he is just a rep and there starts Trip and Holly's relationship.

A little bumpy at first because she does not fall all over him like all the other girls that he is use to. But that just makes him more interested. At first you think Trip is this big player, and I guess that he is being hurt by his ex has made him put up some major walls, but Holly has a way about her that just makes him melt into a puddle and he turns into the man that he has always been deep down inside. A wonderful, romantic, passionate human being...

There are several things that they will have to get past tho. One being her ex who seems to want her back now that she has someone else that is interested in her. Holly's blinding love for Jackson her ex. AND all the things that Trip has not told her. He is the investor, he is famous and in a band. How is this all going to go when Holly finds all this out?

I missed my boys from Black Falcon, but this was a great read and focused just on Trip and Holly and I loved that. I love them. They are great together, and it did take them sometime to catch up to the reality that they were suppose to be together, but I knew right away. lol

I cannot wait to read the next book!! Michelle is one of the best at doing what she does. And I am so glad I found her books!! Thank you Michelle<3

I began reading this series way back in 2013 and in an effort to catch up on my TBR I'm enjoying listening to books I purchased a long time with my romance package with audible.

This was a fairly low angst read for me. Trip is in the band Black Falcon and while the rest of the band have decided they need a break to focus on their families, Trip has decided to use the time to find some new investments.

He ends up at a family owned motor cross track where he meets Holly. There is an instant attraction between them from the first moment they cross paths but she is getting over a recent long term relationship.

Despite what the summary of this book says, the story isn't really that much about Trip helping Holly land the guy of her dreams, it centres more on the situation her and her father have found themselves in and how instrumental Trip is in helping them.

There is also a lovely romance playing out, throughout this story.

It needs serious editing. It had adverbs and pronouns missing from so many sentences that my mind had to rewrite them in my head in order to make sense. The book was honestly a lot of dialogue that I didn't like. It was uneventful and kind of boring. They repeated themselves and rehashed so many things, that I scrolled through half of the scenes and still understood everything that was going on. Honestly, I like that it was not such a rockstar book but at the same time we are fans of this series because they are a rock group. Black Falcon should have probably been incorporated more then just the last chapter. I do love this series and mainly didn't slap on a DNF and stop halfway was because of how much I liked the first couple of books. This one was obviously very rushed and not thought out and edited. I was disappointed and hope the last books of this series aren't similar.

~ 3.5 Hearts ~
I'm a huge fan of Michelle. A. Valentine's "Black Falcon Series." Noel and Riff's books were 5 heart reads for me so imagine how excited I was to be getting Trip's book. Unfortunately it absolutely guts me to say but this one just didn't cut the mustard. Please don't shoot me!!! Just hear me out. The story itself was good but I have to say I did miss all the shenanigans that went with the band and the rock star lifestyle. Don't get me wrong, there was still drama but not the sort that had my insides tangled up.

A couple of the sub plots were equally OK with the author covering some very serious, yet sensitive subject matters which she handled with the due care and attention they deserved. However one of the sub plots drove me bat shit crazy and that was the situation involving Holly and Jackson. I tried to understand Holly, I know she was young. Yes I was aware Jackson was her first and only love. Yup I tried every avenue to justify her behaviour but I just couldn't find a way for it to sit right in my mind and still take to her character. See, Jackson and Holly had been together a couple of years and he was definitely the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Sounds great right? So then he stands her up on their two year anniversary to go to a party and get wasted. Are the warning bells sounding? That night he decides he's going to confess all... yup he cheated on her whilst she was away at college and he no longer loves her. OK so she was devastated... understandable of course but I'd be thinking lucky escape. Well Holly didn't follow my train of thought. Oh no... Holly decided she wanted to get Jackson back and she would enlist Trip to aid her in her mission!!! WTF???? "He just told you he slept with other people and he no longer loves you!!! Wake up and smell the coffee!!!" Frustration doesn't even come close to how I felt during the scenes that followed!!!! Aarrrggghhh!!!! She needed a good shaking and a very good talking to!!!
"After we punish Jackson enough, and I decide to take him back, we can go on as real friends."

Now Trip on the other hand was the band aid that helped make reading this book better. See he was all rock star and tattoos with a body to die for and a personality that oozed confidence. I liked him in the other Black Falcon books but in "Rock the Beat" I well and truly fell in love with him. I mean who wouldn't, he was the Orgasm king after all. His sense of humour was first class and add to the mix his wit and charm and I was a gonna.

I loved the battle he fought when it came to Holly. This guy saw reason (well, of sorts anyway) ... he was at the track undercover... he wasn't famous... he was looking to invest into his future.... he could not get involved sexually or otherwise with this girl!!!! Wow now that made a change for Trip Douglas because more often than not his nether regions overruled his head!!!! Lol. OK so he still ogled her... OK so they may have had a fumble here and there ... So maybe she was slowly starting to get under his skin!!! Who'd have thought it!! I loved seeing the change in him when it came to Holly. He really was starting to care for her and couldn't bare to see that jack ass taking advantage.
Opening my self up to someone isn't something I believed would ever happen again- that is until Holly. There's something about her that feels like home and is safe, and she makes me want to love someone again. Being with her is changing me.

The sexual tension between Trip and Holly was there right from the start of "Rock the Beat" but waiting for some action almost killed me. 40% later and I got a fumble!!! Yes a mere fumble that was rudely interrupted!!! I wanted good old fashioned rock star dirty sex and at one point I felt like a child having a tantrum. Well all good things come to those who wait because at 50%, I got some very HOT, toe curling action!!! Holy moly it all fell in to place... Trip Douglas was not lying when he said he was the orgasm king!!!!
"The first time I fuck you, it's going to be fast. I won't last once I'm inside you. I've waited too damn long. There's no way I can hold back. But the second time I'm going to go slow, so I can savor every inch of that beautiful body of yours."

So overall, "Rock the Beat" was a good book but unfortunately not a great book. The writing was still great and I loved seeing the band again (albeit for the last 10% of the story!!!). I'm looking forward to Trip's novella because for me, this book finished far too quickly and at 90% too!!! Again I was gutted.... I turned the page again and again but nothing... it was an abrupt end which did give closure and a HEA but it was just far too sudden for my liking!!!
Sorry guys but the scores on the doors for "Rock the Beat" are 3.5 Hearts!!!

5 Trippy Stars!!!!!

Well let me say that I think this book was my favorite of the series so far. I have loved all the books, but for some reason this one was just AMAZING!!!! My only real complaint is that I wish it would've been longer. This book was a really quick read, one because it seemed shorter then the other books in the series, but also because once you start this book you won't be able to put it down. I read this book in less then a day. This is the 3rd full length book in the series and what an addition it was to this series. Rock the Beat is the story of Trip Douglas, Black Falcon's Drummer, and Holly. One thing I really liked about this book was that it was completely separate from the other books. We don't actually see the other band mates until close to the end of the book, which I was completely fine with. In Rock My Bed I was a little put off that it ran concurrent with the time frame of Rock the Heart because it didn't feel like that is was only Riff and Aubrey story. In this addition we totally get only Trip and Holly's story. Tyke does pop here and there but the main focus of this story is Trip. What I absolutely LOVED about this book was the drama factor was pretty mild, which to me was quite refreshing. Yes there was an ex who caused some trouble and some secrets that went untold for awhile, but once things came out into the open we didn't get the over dramatization where someone runs for the hills. The drama is actually over pretty quickly!!!!!

The story begins pretty much where Rock my Bed ends and the band is on a short break. Trip is looking for something to pass his time while on hiatus. He has an interest in Motocross Racing so he is looking into investing in Holly's dads track. To say that Trip and Holly don't hit it off right from the start is putting it mildly. There was a situation that happens prior to them officially meeting that kind of sours Holly on Trip, but she doesn't even really know it's Trip. I know thats confusing but you will understand once you read the book. So through the course of the book we see Holly and Trip growing closer to each other. I loved that once they got to know each other better they both started letting their walls down. There is so much more that I could say about this book but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. If I talk about the best parts of this book, then I will give way to much away. You will definitely want to experience this book and Trip for yourself.

I fell for Trip from the very first book. I knew he story was going to be great and it was. Once he sheds he tough guy exterior he is such a sweetheart. I love how strongly he was willing to protect Holly and her friend Max. I am having such a hard time expressing my love for Trip. He is just one of my favorite characters. As for Holly….I liked her character but I will say that she kind of annoyed me when it came to her ex Jackson. I wanted to smack her quite a few times for being so dumb when it came to him and who he really is. I was glad to see that she finally grew some "balls" and stood up for herself and Max. I ended up loving her character in the end. Speaking of Max….he is what every person wants in a BFF. He was so loyal to Holly and did whatever he could to protect her even if it caused him harm ( You'll get it once you read the book ). I was so glad to see things work out for him in the end :)

Even though the other band mates aren't in this book very much, I really didn't miss them. I thought this story was strong enough on it's own without focusing on the band. It was nice to get the recap of what Noel, Lanie, Aubrey, and Riff have been up to.

If you are a fan of Michelle Valentine's and the Black Falcon series then you for sure don't want to miss this book. And as always this book will melt your kindle. There were some pretty steamy parts :) I would definitely recommend this book!!!!!

If Michelle's name is attached to a book you better believe this girl has it on her TBR and is anxiously awaiting its arrival...Rock the Beat was no different.

I had all these expectations for the dirty mouthed Trip Douglas and he shattered them in the best ways.

My heart ran the gamut in this one. It swelled with joy till it shattered with pain and then repaired itself. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more, I got angry, I was sad, I felt joy, hope, and well flushed...cause come on ladies this is a Black Falcon hottie we're discussing here! And Trip's deliciously naughty mouth had my cheeks flaming! Joking aside and not knowing what's to come for the series, for me anyway, this book was the heart of it all.

While on some down time Trip heads out to Arizona, incognito, to scout out a failing motocross family run business as an investment opportunity. What he doesn't expect is Holly Pearson, smart, sexy and beautiful, she doesn't immediately take to Trip's direct come-ons. Having just had her heart betrayed and worrying about her family business and ailing father she is on guard...despite her intense physical attraction to him.

In an attempt to get along and put the business first, Trip and Holly make a deal that quickly winds up blurring the lines between business and pleasure. When things come to a head and all that sexual tension is finally released there is no keeping these two from each other.

As they get closer, Trip deals with latent feelings from a past betrayal and struggles to tell Holly the truth about himself. It's the one thing he fears might send her running.

Holly has her own issues to contend with, the secret behind her father's health, about her mother, the real bastard her ex is to the man she thought she wanted back, and the sick twisted shit her best friend, Max dealt with and held on to to keep her in his life.

I have to say Jackson Cruze, Holly's ex, outright disgusted me. From the moment we meet him I wanted to throat punch his douchey ass. And I loved Trip and Max a million times more for standing up to him in all the ways they did.

And Michelle...Bill (Holly's father)...that moment...you know what I'm talking about...I literally felt like someone slapped me. I thought I had things figured out but I was so wrong and in that moment everything crushed in on me. I still get a little teary just thinking about it.

It was awesome seeing the rest of the band and the ways in which they've stayed the same yet changed so completely. There was definitely a few shocks and twists and WTF moments that left me reeling. Tyke has me a little worried which makes me anxious to get my hands on his book cause I really need inside his head.

I got so lost in Trip and Holly and was so pleasantly surprised by what a tender story the two shared, at this point I couldn't even tell you what my original expectations were just that I know they were exceeded. They both had scarred hearts and managed to push through the fears of what caused those scars to heal and love each other. Like I said...heart.

Having loved the Black Falcon stories so far, I could wait to dip into Trip’s story. There’s something about the prospect of twins, especially when they are identical and in a band. Right!!!!

Black Falcon, sadly, are taking a break and Trip finds himself at a loose end. Unlike Noel and Riff, Trip isn’t in a steady relationship and finds himself looking for other financial opportunities to keep occupied. Trip becomes interested in the Mountain Time Speed Track and soon finds an added investment incentive in the form of Holly, the circuit owner’s daughter.

Having recently broken up with her boyfriend Jackson Cruze, a local motocross hero, Holly is determined to focus on turning her father’s business around but without financial investment it is doomed. Unwilling to ask Jackson for financial support, Holly knows that she has to bury her initial reservations about Trip’s involvement and work with him to save the business. However, agreeing to work with him is not easy as Holly quickly realises that she is falling for his charms. Realising that he is losing Holly once and for all, Jackson turns nasty and directs his anger at Holly’s BFF, Max.

The story was really enjoyable and once I realised the pre-ordered version from Amazon ended 5 pages short I can honestly say I loved the book, and the ending. I did miss Black Falcon though but enjoyed their brief appearance at the end of the story although Riff was very quiet!!!

Can't get enough of Black Falcon! Trip was quite the smoothie at the bar, snuggling up to a drunk Holly and he almost had her if it wasn't for Max stealing her away. Next day Trip ends up at the track, hitting on the girl working there, and who is it... Holly. She recognizes him, but surprise to her he was there as investor and she had to be nice to him.. ha, love it. Well a few days in and Trip's sweet side shines through catching Holly off guard and she warms to him. Max and her Dad confides and trusts him, and Trip tells her Dad his secret too. He doesn't want Holly to know he is a rock star and it works out well for a while. Trip rescues Holly at the restaurant when Jackson leaves her there because she doesn't want to get back together with him.... douchebag Jackson, but she warms to Trip, and they end up having sex in the office, then in her room, and the next morning too... haha, but opps her Dad hears!

Trip's secret gets out before he can tell Holly, but Max talks sense into her head and she lets him in. The band plays at the motocross event they plan to get the track back in the black, she meets the rest of the band and family, and everything works out. Would have liked a longer ending telling more of Holly and Trip's story, but still good

I love this series by Michelle Valentine. Noel's book hooked me and I can't get enough. And I did love this book but I felt cheated, left hanging, slapped in the face by the ending of this book. I couldn't believe I was at the end. Just left with a text from Trip. I wanted Holly to meet the band and the girls. I wanted the band to perform and Holly see Trip at what he does best. I wanted to see what happens to Holly's dad, Holly's mom and her ex. I wanted to see a future for Trip and Holly. Does the business make it. Will Holly go on the road with the band..Oh there is so much more I needed!!!
I loved how they developed as a couple. Trying to make the ex jealous. They had great chemistry, as do all the couples in this series. I liked that Holly fell for him, not knowing he was a rockstar. I love the banter between. This book deals with a lot of social issues, HIV, Bullying, Homophobia, and Drug Abuse.

This is actually my favorite out the series. This book was not just about rock star settling down. It also dealt with abuse with an ex boyfriend, but also talks of HIV and bullying homophobia. My favorite pages of this book were 168 the part where the dad admits to Trip that he heard him and his daughter having loud sex through the night and did not want to kick his ass. I found that part very funny. and also my other favorite page was 176 when Holly's ex boyfriend gets arrested and tells the cop that he is famous. And the cop told him that he doesn't care but plenty of jail mates will care a lot more. LMAO. And Holly was the best heroine I have ever read. She didn't use her beauty to get things done she used her brain. And I loved that Trip fell for her soul and mind and not just her body. Great book

Ok here's how it is! I love Trip like I knew I would. For me he's definitely the sexiest member of Black Falcon and as a self confessed orgasm king, he was a winner from the start, however Noël and Lanie are still my favourite couple as a whole. I think the reason for that, is because their story took us on more of a journey! There was history there. Where as with Trip and Holly's story it was a whirlwind romance and although they had there ups and downs, they weren't on the scale of Noel and Lanie's.

Now I did enjoy this book, but like with Riff and Aubrey's book, I feel there is a lot of unfinished business and I'd bet money this isn't the last we get to hear from them.

All in all another great book from Michelle Valentine :-)

I just love Michelle Valentines series its my favorite and I am a major fan....no doubt!!!!! I really couldn't get enough of that golden ticket!! I love these guys so much...I still want more!!!!!!
Trip freaking rocks!! Wouldn't mind running into a kind of guy like this. I loved that he was able to open his heart again when he met Holly. I was a little shock of his brothers news at the end but I hope and pray that's not the case and he changes his mind.

3.5 stars! I liked it a whole bunch but it was sort of too sweet and too easily wrapped up. I love a little more drama with my rock guys. Overall really good and a great addition to an awesome series.

LOOOOVED the 0.5 Novella at the end :-D

A bit disappointed. Great story plot but a lot of unanswered questions. The ending fell short. This story had a lot of potential. Hope the next/ last installment will deliver the great ending for this series.

I was looking forward to this book so much, but I feel disappointed now that I read it. It wasn't as good as the previous books. It was missing something, I hope Tyke's book is much better.

4-4.5 stars

This was a really good story. I liked both Holly and Trip very much and their story was enjoyable and rather sweet.

Holly was a college student but left school to help her father. Her father has a motocross track and it’s not doing great, soon to be foreclosed on by the bank. In an effort to stop this they're desperately looking for investors. Holly had been dating a motocross rider named Jackson (for 2 years) but he missed their 2 year anniversary and then broke up with her (very rudely). Then she found out he was cheating on her a lot while she was away at college which left Holly bewildered at what went wrong.

Trip is the drummer for a very popular band, Black Falcon. The band is currently on a break from touring as 2 of the members have gotten married and had kids recently. Trip’s at loose ends and looking for something to occupy his time when he hears about an investment opportunity and goes to check it out. He decides to not let the people know he’s the actual investor, acting like he works for the investor, hoping to get a clearer idea of the state of things that way (in addition to not wanting them to know about his celebrity status).

Holly is out at a bar on her 20th birthday (thanks to a fake ID) with her best friend, Max (who’s gay). They're on the dance floor when she gets pulled into a dance with a very sexy man. A man she is seriously considering going home with as he’s turning her on big time. This is unusual for Holly as she’s only had one lover before, her ex Jackson, so her wanting to take a strange man home isn't normal at all for her. Max sees where things are heading and pulls her away. Trip (being the man dancing with her) doesn't want her to go but when another woman throws herself in his arms he deals with it, figuring Max was Holly’s boyfriend and it was best not to go looking for trouble. The next day, Holly is working in the office of the track when Trip comes in. He doesn’t recognize her right off but she recognizes him and isn't too happy with his moving on to a new chick immediately the night before and thus isn't thrilled to see him, thinking he’s nothing but a man-whore. Trip pisses her off even more by blatantly flirting with her even when she trying to show him her disdain for men like him. She’s just about to completely tell him off when her dad walks in and introduces Trip as the person evaluating the business for a rich investor. Holly has no choice but to act nice to Trip but doesn't like it. Trip knows he can't sleep with Holly because of her association with the business and figures it would be easier to get through this if they're friends. He’s trying to make friends with her when he sees the discomfort she has when confronted with her ex, Jackson. The story soon comes out and Trip offers to help Holly get Jackson back and make him pay for cheating on her.

Trip and Holly start to become friends as they spend a couple weeks going over the business stuff and getting Trip the info he needs to learn about the business and decide on the investment. During this time, Trip and Holly make Jackson think they're together and Jackson shows that he’s not too happy about this, trying to stake his claim on Holly again. Holly thinks she wants Jackson back at first but after a while she finds that she prefers spending time with Trip and hasn’t been thinking about Jackson as much. She continues with things though because she thinks she should want to be with Jackson because of their past. Jackson soon begins to show his true colors to Holly when he doesn't get his way. In an effort to get in good with her, Jackson offers to take her to dinner to talk about possible ways to help the track. Holly doesn’t really want to because at this point things between her and Trip aren't feeling so fake any more but she feels like she should do what she can to help out the business. Jackson shows his full colors at dinner and Holly is done with him completely. Unfortunately, his mistreatment of Holly makes Max confront Jackson and Max comes to worse for the encounter which makes the situation worse. On the good side, this helps Holly realize that Jackson is a jerk and Trip is a good guy as he’s been there and helping them through the issues they're having. The problem becomes that Trip doesn't tell Holly who he is right away and he worries about how to tell her as she doesn't have the best opinions of musicians or famous people. More issues come up as Holly is confronted with her dad having health issues and a drug-addict mother who’s never been there for her. There are difficulties to deal with but once Trip falls for someone he’s all in so he’s there to help Holly as much as possible. They get through the drama and even the revelation of his true identity and then Trip and Holly end the story with a really good HEA.

This was a very enjoyable story. I really liked Trip and Holly. Trip was kind of a jerk at first but as soon as he started being nice to Holly I liked him and once he gave himself over to being in love with Holly I REALLY liked him. Holly was a pretty good heroine outside of the fact that I don’t see why she’d want a lying, cheating jerk like Jackson back (I know they had history but still!!!). I was thankful when she saw the light and told Jackson where to get off. Overall, I really liked this story, it was a good addition to the series. I’d recommend this story. Thumbs up! :D

* note - I listened to the audio version of this book. The book was from both Holly and Trip's PoVs and there were 2 narrators, a female for Holly's PoV and a male for Trip's PoV. Both narrators did a good job in the narration
