“I hope one day I can go back. I pray that one day I am strong enough to move past the painful events in my life. I hope one day that I can wake up with the urge to live. I know that is what he would want.”

Mia wants away from her small Georgia town and every painful memory it holds. Miami seems like as good a place as any to start over. Hundreds of miles away from her past, Mia works three jobs to survive. She doesn’t mind though, especially the physical labor; it keeps her from thinking too much. Problem is, she’s exhausted and the temp agency just found her yet another job. This one is different though. It’s a live-in, permanent position, that is if she can survive the interview with Sebastian Price; one of the most wealthy (and sexy) businessmen in Miami.

“When I finished signing the final page I handed it over to him. Our hands touched…”You felt that too. I know you did.”…I took a deep breath before responding, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

As Mia moves into her new position at the Price estate, she notices that she is not like the other employees; not leggy, or blonde, or bombshell-underwear model looking. So, why did she get the job if she clearly doesn’t fit Sebastian’s obvious type of woman, or employee? She can’t deny the connection they have, but getting close to him is terrifying. He brings something out in her that she didn’t think she’d ever feel…lust.

“I wasn’t going to be one of those girls. I had more respect for myself than that. I must look like a total slut. I met him this morning and by dinner I was ready to have sex with him on the dining room table. Classy Mia.”

Sebastian sees something she doesn’t and will do whatever it takes to have her. Mia is the itch that he needs to scratch. She is different alright, and one botched late-night run-in has him willing to change his entire lifestyle just to get closer to her. Knowing her secrets is par for the course but Sebastian wants her to trust him enough to share everything; be open to him in more than just a sexual way…even if it means no sex, just friendship. He would earn the rest.

“I knew then that I might actually have a chance with you…and I wanted a chance with you…so badly. So I told you we could be friends and over the next several weeks I got to get to know you and I loved everything about you.”

She’s scarred and he’s just the balm she needs in order to heal. Her painful past is becoming easier to bear every day they are together but life is messy and theirs is no exception. When new challenges arise, she runs…

WHAT?!?! She gets the guy, he changes his life for her and she leaves? Talk about your cliffhanger ending…I hope the next book comes out soon, the suspense of what Price does next is killing me! The Road to Price looks to be long and windy one…strap on your seatbelt for one intriguing ride.

The Road to Price is a sexy, fun, romance novel about a girl with a rough past finding love with a millionaire who, well let’s just say likes to have fun with his staff of model looking females.

Mia has had a rough 6 years. After being raped and losing a child Mia ran away from her Georgia town to live in Miami and start over without anyone knowing her past. Mia finds a job as a housekeeper to a rich millionaire, Mr. Price; but the job is unique to say the least… the entire staff are super model looking women who Mr. Price enjoys the company of… if you know what I mean ;) . Mia and Mr. Price have an instant connection and Mr. Price sets his eyes on Mia and no other female matters anymore but can Mia get over her past to enjoy her future?

Be warned!! There is a giant CLIFF HANGER! Ugh! I want the second book now!

The Road to Price has A LOT of potential. I enjoyed the story, especially the emotional side involving Mia’s past. I loved how the author would write in glimpses of Mia’s past into the story going back and forth between past and present. It brought a new dimension to the book to make it more than just an erotic romance novel. It also made the story unique and different from other hot-millionaire romance novels. The emotional side of the book was definitely a high point for me in the book. It was really great.

I really had the hots for the character of Sebastian Price! I found him incredibly sexy and domineering. I love me some hot alpha males! It kind of through me for a loop the fact he is married (okay so it’s not a REAL marriage but still) and sleeps with all the women on his staff. But Sebastian knows what he wants and takes it, plus I am a sucker for a bad boy changing for love. I hope he matures up and steps up for Mia in the next book.

Mia, well Mia really confused me. I loved her in the beginning of the book. She was an old soul acting more like she was 50 then like the 22 year-old she was. She was independent, working three jobs, not needing anyone in her life. By the end of the book she was acting like a love sick 15 year-old. She made a 180 on her feelings toward love and Sebastian. She acted like such a child, especially at the end which caused the giant cliff hanger. She really made me mad!

The Road to Price is a fun read. It’s short, easy to read and is very steamy. If you enjoy a hot alpha male this book is for you! I am looking forward to reading the next book in the Price series and more work from author Justine Elvira. I think she did a wonderful job on the emotional side of the story and look forward to reading more from her.

I give The Road to Price 3.5 Stars.

My first ever DNF. I have never read such a badly written book.
So many spelling mistakes, logical inconsistencies, and tense changes.
I'd be hard pressed to believe the author proof-read more than once. "waste deep" in the water? chances of getting pregnant after being "rapped"? I mean, seriously!?
The constant changes of tense in the narrative style were infuriating as well. Pick one and go with it.
I only had 30 minutes of reading left when I decided enough was enough.

I read the Kindle edition purchased on the 11/6/2013

I don't know maybe it’s just me but when I found out what happens in that house I was like..."Um... yeah, no." Mia's character troubled me in the beginning and upon further reading clarity began to set in. Sebastian on the other hand I found to be a bit unrealistic. The dramatic change that he makes... doesn't seem like it would happen that easily or that quickly. He does however grow on you and eventually you begin to appreciate him. Then there is Darcy. In this installment we don't know all that much about her, but of what I did learn about her I found her to be a strong female character for being able to tolerate the situation that she was (not quite but still) forced into. So in essence it boils down to this:
1. In the beginning you're like WTF?
2. As you continue reading you develop my attitude of "Um, yeah but no."
3. Both of the lead characters eventually develop and become a bit more realistic
4. Clarity sets in on both characters, and light is shed on Darcy
5. The cliff hanger had me buying the second book
All in all it was a short quick read that was unrealistic at times yet didn't overcompensate with too many raunchy scenes that could have also been overdone but weren’t.

Okay, let's start with the good. I really liked the characters. I genuinely care about what happens to them and Mia's backstory is intriguing. I also really like the basic plot. Oh, and the sex is pretty hot and she gets to it pretty quickly, which I appreciate ;) . Now for the negative. The plot is nowhere near as developed as it needs to be. Things that happen in a matter of days would be more believable happening over the course of weeks, maybe even months. There's a sappy quality to some of the dialogue, resulting in a "too perfect" male protagonist and an unrealistic quality to the book. I feel that this book has real potential if the author would slow down and let things unfold a little more naturally. And also maybe enlist some more beta readers to catch the typos. This all being said, I totally got the second because the author did enough to invest me in the characters.

uck. The whole set up was so wrong and immoral. It needed serious editing for misuse of your, you're and their/ there. Girls, you are better than a relationship with a married man. Unrealistic that this man would give up all those women for our girl and seemingly overnight and not wearing condoms was irresponsible and dangerous with all those gals. A really rich guy would be sure of birth control. It was not the worst book ever but why bother???

Apparently all the H's house staff are supermodel-type women that womanizer H "enjoys company of" ...talk about having a personal harem...:(
Personally I find it distasteful to imagine the h/H being intimate in the same space. If I were the h I'd want everything bleached or to sell the place!!

I got this book to write an honest review so here it is. This review may have SPOILERS, so you've been warned!

Mia Dechino is running from her past and wants to start a fresh start in Miami. She keeps herself busy with several jobs to not think about her past. She needs to keep herself distracted and she finds that in Sebastian Price, her new boss at her new job. She immediately feels a strange, undeniable attraction to him. But is he enough to make her feel alive again?

OMG, I just cannot say eough how much I loved this book! It was so amazing that I could not put it down! I loved the charachters so much!

First of all Mia Dechino. She is desperatly trying to not think about her past and at teh beginning of the book you want to know what happened to her and who Miles is who she talks about. I loved how the author wrote the parts where we could sneek a peek at the past and what happened. Some parts were really dreadful and others were happy parts. It just made the whole picture of Mia's character complete as you begin to know why Mia became the way she is now.

Then there is Sebastian Price, who is a womanizer and a cocky assholw, who you begin to love when you get to know him. You see a different part of Sebastian. A part thats only reserved for Mia. One does not simply not fall in love with Sebastian Price!

The sexy scenes were serously hot and well sexy with a hint of romance, which was really amazing to read. And the writing style was really good and easy to read. I stumbled upon some errors though, which were a bit annoying, especially those where it said 'your' instead of 'you're', but nonetheless it was such an amazing book, that I would definately recommend!!!! :D

I felt so sad at the end. I did not know why Mia did what she did. I am hoping to know in the next part why she chose to do what she did. So I am really looking forward to the next part!

So this book started me a little confused. Mia works a lot and gets offered this live in housekeeper job. When she goes to the interview Mr Price's assistants asks if she is sure she was any over by the temp agency. Then Mr Price asked the same thing. I'm sitting here like Wth!!! What is going on!! Obviously the agency sent her why are they questioning it. Then they spark. They shake hands and spark. You know, like light my body on fire kind of spark. But she works for him and refuses to be just another member of the harem. So they have to just be friends. Of course this builds such a strong foundation for a beautiful relationship. He offers her faithfulness to only her. The man you love offers you that, what's not say yes to right? He's thoughtful, affectionate, understanding... And married. Okay kind of odd but we can do this right. So I'm sitting here wondering how this is gonna work. He's married and it didn't seem like it was gonna change. But yet he's with her. Like they're in a relationship. He's not sleeping around with sluts. I don't get it. But on the other hand, they hump like rabbits and I'm totally diggin it. And then the night of the ball happens and worlds are flipped upside down. Lives are changed and he's devastated. And, I know I'm messed up for thinking this, but I'm glad that for once it's a guy devastated crying on the ground. Thank you. Thank you Justine. I may not agree with what she did. Let's be honest, I really hated her for it. But I was glad for the change in the normal storyline I'm so used to. Nicely done Justine, nicely done. I immediately turned around and bought Road to forgiveness just so you know

I do not usually write reviews of books that I read. However, there are times when a review are necessary. This book did not take me long to read because it drew me into it. I felt that the authors writing was great and I loved the characters and the way Justine Elvira developed those characters. From the first chapter, I was drawn in. I want to read the second book in this short series as I want to see what happens. I wanted to cry for Mia because she had such a tragic thing happen to her and I could never understand her pain as it has never happened to me before. I would explain what that it was because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. I loved this book and would give it more stars if I could. I would also recommend this book to others who like contemporary romance books. I can't wait until I can get my hands on the second book. I also look forward to reading more of her works. Keep writing Justine Elvira.

This book was interesting. First we have Mia.... a tragic backstory heroine who goes to Miami to make a new start after her life falls apart. Then we have playboy Sebastion our hero. Mia goes to MR. Prices home to become his housekeeper. From there we journey with the pair through quite a few up and downs.

It was a goodread with steamy love scenes, tragic past for Mia, n wanting to kill Mia at some points. Seriously a good book!

I have rated this 2 stars only because it had great storyline potential and because I finished the whole book, admittedly I did skim some parts.

I could overlook the grammar and incorrect word spelling, although definitely the emphasis on poor editing stood out for me with the use of 'waste' instead of 'waist'! But as much as I hate skimming, the story was not at all believable to me. I did not like Sebastian and Mia appeared to be unaffected by her past. As a female and mother I could in know way relate to Mia!

This book ends with a cliffhanger but unfortunately I won't be reading the next.

★★★★1/2 STARS!!!

Alright so I wasn't expecting that. This book took me for a loop, first I thought okay ummmm I don't know about this.... this guy is a first class a**hole...really....who the hell does he think he is? Then I was like... okay maybe he's not so bad, but I just kept expecting him to mess up I don't know do something. Ahhhh the anticipation drove me crazy all the loose ends surrounding him just seem like the inevitable, boy was I wrong! This book had me up and down then up again and then finally I'm left saying okay I completely misjudged that....

Mia.... Mia....Mia, holy crap this girl has been through the ringer. I will not go into detail about what she has overcome in her young life, you'll have to read the book to find out but it's has not been easy. Leaving Georgia to escape the memories Mia moves to Miami to start over. A place where nobody knows her and she can keep to herself. Working for a temp agency and juggling three jobs for them she gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she is offered an interview for a live in housekeeping position for one of the wealthiest men in Miami Mr. Sebastian Price. Mia and Sebastian have an instant attraction to each other but like I said she has had to deal with and overcome a lot in her young 23 years and the last thing she wants is to have any sort of relationship with anyone especially the man that could potentially be her boss.

"I have never seen a man like him before. I had never had this reaction to a man's appearance before...I composed myself and lifted my hand to meet his. Once our hands touched I felt tingles go up my arm and through my body. It was an electric shock to my system. It felt amazing and it scared the shit out of me"

Accepting the position she moves into the staff wing in Sebastian's mansion and very shortly after she finds out what Mr. Price and his staff are all about. Wanting no part in that life she puts a stop to any and all physical contact with Sebastian and they move forward on a platonic just friends relationship.

Sebastian Price, okay I feel like an ass for judging this man so harshly, even though I still have mixed feelings about him he really turned out decent and I couldn't help but feel terrible for him in the end. Mr. Price is a man whore...like really the staff at his estate is a smorgasbord of women that he just keeps on hand to fulfill his every sexual desire...whenever, wherever he chooses.... seriously ewwww! Upon meeting Mia for the interview he realizes that there is something different about her and once she accepts the position he has no qualms about moving forward in trying to make her into of his many houseguests....but she is different, and even though it was with difficulty she shuts him down. He is undeniably attracted to her and knows that if he wants to pursue any relationship with her he is going to have to make some changes in his life and therefore he stops all his other extra curricular activities in order to show Mia that she is different, and that for the first time in his life he actually cares for someone other than himself.

"Being your friend has been great but, Mia I want to be more. I want to hold you, kiss you, fall asleep next to you at night and wake up with you by my side in the morning. I want you to be mine...These past six weeks have been amazing but they've also been torture, everyday I get to know you more and I fall deeper. I want to have a life with you Mia"

These two were a beautiful mess with extreme sexual tension between them, Mia is so broken, scared and damaged and Sebastian has just lived a carefree reckless abandon life. These two will suck you in, I feel that Ms. Elvira did a wonderful job creating Sebastian and Mia, I love when I'm reading and I just can't get enough of the characters and The Road to Price was that for me. Mia broke my heart and I wanted nothing more than to see her happy. I loved that she was strong enough to stay away from Sebastian in the beginning and stood her ground about not being just one of his conquests. But in the end it ended up being her that I was supremely pissed off at but also at the same time feeling terrible because I understand that what she is doing is out of fear . And Sebastian having his entire world completely rocked when Mia come into his life and watching him change and want to be better to do better for her was just sweet (and in the beginning I couldn't imagine saying that about Sebastian)

My overall thoughts for The Road to Price are that Justine Elvira has written a fabulous book about overcoming the demons of your past and trying to find a way to move forward. I must tell you that it does end in a cliffhanger and it's a mother of a cliffy! Even though Ms. Elvira gave me fair warning and I was anticipating it I was still left screaming NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I really cannot wait for book two in the Price Series The Road To Forgiveness to get the much needed HEA for Mia and Sebastian, but also to tie up some loose ends on unanswered questions and characters that have been left open.

Sebastian & Mia

The story of Sebastian and Mia was decent.
Sebastian’s lair is a very odd backwards place. Evidently Mia was just what he needed to make a complete 360.
Hmm.
Certain things seemed way to drawn out while other situations seemed way too fast.

Enjoyed the falling in love aspect of this story. Him being, in her words, a man-whore & her being almost shy, was nice to see them both change. The cliffhanger annoyed me though, they always do.

While this book did fit my requirements of a quick read, it fell short in so many other aspects.

Mia is a twenty-three year old, single mother who has just run away from home and a tragic accident that turned her world upside down. She is a complete sap in my opinion. Rather than making her endearing, her personality and character flaws just grated on my nerves. She spends a majority of the book reminding herself of the tragedies she has endured and keeping herself sad rather than trying to move on. At certain points in the book, you think “Hey she is getting better, maybe she will start to move one… and then BAM! Nose dive back to sorrow…It gets old real fast.

When she is offered a position as a live-in housekeeper for a rich local, I had high hopes that she would start to make strides to moving forward with her life. Instead however, she berates herself for finding the m an attractive and constantly reminds herself of her past tragedies.

Begin the sappy, love struck behavior that, when added to her perpetual sadness, is almost depressing to read. She is completely enamored with a man she has known for less than a day. Mia is completely incapable of forming full sentences much less functioning like a normal person when he is anywhere around. Mia has met Sebastian all of 5 minutes and already she feels she is unable to live without him. I understand that during the course of a relationship you find that the other person makes you better and you prefer to spend time WITH them rather than WITHOUT them. But after less than a day, it just seems unrealistic.

Mia talks herself into NOT taking the job.. And then the moment she gets the call back, she accepts with no questions! By this point I had my fill of Mia…BUT…I was almost halfway through the book, and because I don’t like to leave things unfinished, I kept reading.

Enter Sebastian…who is even worse than Mia... The best way I could describe him is a chauvinistic pig. He treats the women who work for him as objects, uses them to fulfill his sexual needs, and shows them little respect. Sebastian maintains an “I can sleep with whoever, whenever” attitude for the first part of the book. It is actually disgusting to read. Then, surprise surprise, he falls head over heels for Mia and becomes a changed man.

When Mia requests, for the sake of her heart, that they remain just friends, he agrees. However, when they spend time together he can’t keep his hands to himself. And she allows it, making her as pathetic and easily swayed as he is. He then convinces Mia that he has caused a complete change of heart and he would never consider taking another woman to bed. She is everything.

Reminder, this story takes place over like 6-8 weeks.
I don’t want to give any more of this away, but it ends with her leaving, and him crying and vowing to find her…no matter what.

»All in all it was a quick read, but I found it to be less than spectacular. I became frustrated and tired of the main characters and felt their development was lacking. There is no depth to the couple. He’s a man who has spent the majority of his life sleeping around, and manages to string words together to have her falling at his feet. She is a love-sick puppy, who doesn’t really have any semblance of a backbone. I could take or leave this book.
