This book is a novella and a fast read. The story moves at a very good pace, a kidnapping of a high school girl - but who did it, and why does the coach seem so guilty?

I liked this novella for a lot of reasons and one being how the story was so well written - great continuation of the series. No time for romance, well, maybe a bit of angst and a hint of it.

There was even a bit of geology in it!

Anyways, good novella and 2 thumbs up.

This is a short e-book (got mine at Amazon for Kindle) that is a bridge of sorts between the 1st in this series (Frozen) and the 2nd (Charred). A judge requests Ellie's help in locating her missing niece. Very short so there really isn't a lot to review. The author has kept true to her characters, as they are very believable. The mystery is okay. I think the reason for this short is just to get from book 1 to book 3 without a lot of extraneous information. This does not 'have' to be read ... there are references in Charred, so you really don't miss much.

This is an entertaining mystery. It's sandwiched between Frozen and Charred. Can't wait to read the next one!
