Reading this book made me feel rich and poor at the same time lol. The recipes are great, the lifestyle is so very out of my reach but still totally enjoyable to read about. Great coffee table book.

This is a truly beautiful coffee table book, it’s given me so many ideas for our new home and it also has some fantastic recipes. If you love buying coffee table books then I would highly recommend this!

I was unfamiliar with Soho House before picking up this book. I just saw it on the shelf at Target and thought it was pretty. And fortunately, I was able to request it through my local library, so I didn't have to pay $40 for it. But for those who aren't familiar, Soho House is a membership-only resort, with gorgeous, artsy hotels in lots of great cities. Basically, people a lot richer than most of us are stuck on an enormous wait list to join, so this book is the closest most of us will get to sleeping in one of these beautiful rooms that are jammed with unique, bespoke furniture.

But if you're looking for a mini-vacation where you can imagine sprawling on one of these sofas eating a fancy sandwich or drowsing by a rooftop infinity pool, this is your ticket. The photography is gorgeous, and the stories about putting the locations together are just short enough to be interesting. There are a few recipes scattered through the book as well, and most look like they would be quite tasty.

As for a recommendation, I certainly think it's worth a lazy afternoon to read through this or scan through the pictures. The list of people who would want a second look through this would likely be quite small, though. If you want to decorate your house like Soho House, though, this would be a tremendous resource.
