NESSIE DID WHAT WITH HIS TONGUE!? kinky mfers🤭🥵

What a great ending to the series! Book 2 ended with a heartbreaking cliffhanger. I'm glad Cam wasn't upset with what Lachey did.
I love how everything played out.
The full story on their curses was juicy.

Cameos from Wolfie made me happy. The way he kept watch when Cam and Lachey were getting freaky in the Loch 🤭 Y'all NEED to read The Wulvers Bond. His book is SO good.
Love this world.. Fingers crossed for a book on the mermans.

I LOVED THIS!

What a great story for Cam and Lachlan, I loved how everything played out.

The way book 2 ended was quite a cliffhanger for what would happen with Cam now that their roles had switched. These two, I love them so much. And yes, they do find a way for some steamy moments, despite the situation LOL. I don't want to say too much to give anything away, but this book ties up this trilogy so, so nicely.

I love the Scottish folklore and myth and all the characters. I can't wait to see what is next for some of the characters we have met, and then also to get back to Cam and Lachlan.

You definitely want to read this trilogy in order! I highly recommend this one!

Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC to read and review!

Damn, I had a totally unexpected great time with this series. Solidly written, plotty, with a strong sense of place and worldbuilding that feels lively but isn’t bogged down through explanation of the details. Plus lots of sex. This last installment does become slightly less romance-y because the leads are forced to spend much of it apart, but also there’s , so. The whole trilogy is a quick, enjoyable read that I blazed through. I also appreciated the author’s ability to let the boom move past the status quo elements of the premise—I feel like in another, more “cozy” telling it would have ended with , but the direction it went instead was better suited to the story being told.

Honestly I only read these to get to the Wulver’s book because the description of that appealed to me more, but now I’m glad I did.

WHEN YOU HAVE SKY-HIGH EXPECTATIONS, BUT A BOOK STILL EXCEEDS IT?? SO MUCH RESPECT.

Warning: Rave Review & Possible Spoilers Ahead

It feels like I waited for this 3rd and final instalment to the Nessie story arc forever and I can’t believe it’s over in only a few hours (sobs)! but I am hanging on to the delicious promise of more of Cam & Lachy and friends soon! As it tends to happen at the end of a wonderful book, I’m quite speechless with so much bliss, but what can I say? I am not at all surprised. From the moment I stumbled upon Edwina Lindsey’s first The Walker Witch Files book (purely by a sublime stroke of serendipity) and took the chance at reading it out of sheer curiosity (since Scottish folklore and anything uniquely British has always held a special fascination to me); I knew even before I made it to the last pages of that first book, that I would adore the rest of the series and whatever else she wrote (as long as it’s MM romance with a HEA, of course) to a feverish degree. And now that I’ve come to the end of the last book in the series, it just reaffirmed what I knew all along. It is such a blessing to find a writer not only so incredibly gifted but also so in tune with your secret lovesick heart who manages to tick off all the items on your list of that perfect MM romance story! As expected, everything about this was spot-on perfect—well, beyond perfect, to be honest. I couldn’t even dream up half the exciting things I read on the pages of Edwina Lindsey’s books, but it’s everything I never knew I needed and wanted so badly. I’m even more smitten with Cam & Lachy more than ever! So much so that it made me ache to read all the previous instalments all over again.

While I did know that they’d be tying up loose ends with Bryce, I didn’t expect the amazing new characters (which is taking all of my rickety willpower to not mention and gush about here) and all the other exciting “complications” they run into on the side (not that I was trying to foreguess what would happen – I’m not that type of audience). (I certainly didn’t expect that steamy—and actually really cute—“tryst” in chapter 7, but I totally lived for it, and am all for it! Oh yeah, haha. I am so glad it wasn’t simply glossed over carelessly or excluded altogether – if there’s one thing that turns me off, it’s a timidly or pretentiously written sexy romance. Why bother to write a spicy MM romance if you’re not brave enough to be honest about every aspect of romantic love including the physical intimacy?)(Speaking of which…) I was a bit worried that they’d be too focused on their new challenges here to have enough time to themselves, but I’m so glad that didn’t turn out to be the case (though I would have understood). I find it more unbelievable that two people as madly in love as Cam and Lachy would be swayed apart by anything at all, even if it seems insurmountable; and that’s what I love so much about them. They’re consistent in their undying affections for each other, unlike with some stories where the internal conflict is forced upon characters making them act in ways they never would just to keep a flimsy plot afloat. Anyway, I could go on endlessly about all the things I loved about this and them but I won’t, lest I give away too much. I wouldn’t dream of spoiling the fun! So, I’ll just leave this rave review at that and maybe save my gushing to myself (or fangirl to the author maybe, hah).

On the technical side, it’s just a personal guilty pleasure of mine to read books by British authors (and in British spelling too!) since it’s what I grew up with ergo what I’m used to, so that’s definitely a huge plus to me about this (and is also apt, since it’s set in Scotland). (Also, written accents in dialogue! Ahh, always such a delight! Yes, please!)(Whether set in the UK or not, I really hope Edwina Lindsey continues to write all her books in British English. UwU)

Another thing is, compared to a lot of self-published MM romance books I’ve read of late, this was impeccably copy edited (I think I only spotted one inconspicuous and rather inconsequential typo?) and it was such a smooth and pleasurable read (as opposed to other great stories that were poorly edited where run-on sentences, non sequiturs, weird grammar, wonky tenses, redundancies, jarring inconsistencies, and messy syntax—among other things—sadly detract from the otherwise marvellous plot and engaging narrative). Thank you! It may seem trivial to have one’s stories properly edited these days, but good copy editing really goes a long way in making a book a whole lot better, ergo a truly immersive and pleasurable experience for the readers!

If anything, my biggest regret is having read this too fast. I swear, just opening this to the first page already had me emotional and on the verge of nostalgic tears, because I really did not want it to end (as I always find myself feeling for every book that has endeared itself to me so deeply). I did try my darndest to read S L O W L Y. Alas, it was impossible. This series (and all of its side stories, so far) has been one of the most infallibly furious page-turners for me, and it’s kind of the only time I feel great regret that I read so fast. Again, thank you ever so much for gracing us with this masterpiece! I eagerly look forward to more from Edwina Lindsey (and more of Cam & Lachy, hopefully) in the future!

Wake up, little witch.
Elspaith smiled, opening her arms.
It is time to wake up.

The finale to a surprisingly wonderful series, I fully enjoyed Cam and Lachlan's story! This series has it all - good steam, interesting plot, original characters. That scene when

It practically stopped in his chest when a bright headlight flooded the cave, and in rolled a black Matchless G50 straddled by a ferocious, sexy, and above all fucking incredible witch.

Cam settling into himself as a witch and finally owning it was a huge highlight of the last half of this book. I was so ready for these guys to catch a break triumph over evil! I really enjoyed a few of the side characters too - like the Wulver, who has their own story in The Wulver's Bond releasing next year, and the Minchmen as well. Maybe our wee prince Fionn might feature in the Wulver's book too and earn his own someday?

‘What’s Loch Ness without its monster?’

I know I'll be returning to Cam and Lachlan in the future!

Satisfying wrap-up.

This was a good wrap to the series. I enjoyed seeing Cam and Lachlan working together to find a way to make the best of what's going on with the curses. I also liked the idea of them sharing the experience of being the monster, and that strengthening their bond even more.

Some of the plot didn't seem to be as fleshed out as it could have been, but it wasn't bad. And I would read more of this couple if the author decides to write more of their adventures. It would be interesting to see them living together, and maybe even working together on some of Cam's cases.

Same critiques as before: comma issues and rare choice of quotation style. But the typos were much better; however, Lachlan's name is misspelled once. Oh, I forgot to include this in my reviews of books one and two, but where is the lube???? Never used, not once in the series (pretty certain). And this is not a world where “slick” is a thing. It bothered me, because that’s just not realistic. Yes, yes, this is PNR and inherently not realistic, but there has to be a point where basics are adhered to, imo, or it takes me out of the story sometimes.

I look forward to getting Arran's story, and hopefully the menchman's (Rionn?). These have been fun, quick, entertaining reads.

A beautiful conclusion to the story of Cam and Lachlan. Finally saving themselves from the trappings of their curses and moving forward into a new life.

I enjoyed getting to see more of the early stages of learning to deal with the Nessie curse. It was a great allusion to learning to deal with life’s challenges in my opinion. There were a few plot twists here that I did not expect but the primary being that Elspaith was still tied to the loch as well and that the monster wasn’t her creation but Broccin’s way of circumventing her curse with another.

Broccin’s final moments were very fitting to me as he died in the way he murdered hundreds of people before him for a longer life. Burnt from the inside out and finally lifting the curse that Lachlan took on centuries before when Broccin tricked him.

I loved that in the end a new Nessie was formed by Cam with the leftover magic from Elspaith and himself, and the essence of Lachlan. Giving the famous Loch its monster once again but this time with a slightly sassy Red Cap companion to keep it company. It may not be a physical being but it will protect the Loch forevermore.

Saving Nessie - Hearts Together

‘Cam’s lips ghosted over his neck, making him shiver. His hands delved under Lachlan’s shirt, roving over his chest and hugging him even tighter. With an exhilarated moan, it occurred to Lachlan that neither of them needed to hold back any longer. There were no more invisible barriers between them.’

Edwina Lindsey has crafted a romantic world filled with peril in her Walker Witch Files series. Watching Cam and Lachlan go through so much to try to find their happy ever after is both emotional and rewarding.

In Saving Nessie, danger continues to plague them, as they try to undo the curse that holds Cam deep in the Lock. With the help of some other supernaturals, from the unexpected to the known, these two finally earn their chance to be together.

I love these stories and cannot wait for more, know that Edwina is planning to expand this world for us!

This is everything you could want in the conclusion to the series. Cam and Lachlan may be hot on Bryce's trail but unfortunately they have some rough times ahead before they have a chance to win their battle. Magic goes awry and separates them at the most inopportune time but fortunately these two are a team that knows how to use brains, brawn and their love for each other and their friends to prevail. There's steam, romance, action (wait until you read Lindsey's version of the white knight riding to the rescue on his "steed" - swoon), more of the history of Bryce and his sister, some ghostly assistance and some lighthearted fun at the end that left me absolutely delighted. I'll never look at flip-flops exactly the same way again.

I love the ending Cam and Lachlan got and their HEA is earned. We pick up almost immediately after the end of book two and the story moves forward maybe a tiny bit faster than the previous books, but with the stakes so high, it's no surprise.

The final search and battle with Bryce is done well. The growth Cam has in these three books is wonderful to see, especially when it comes to defeating the villain. He has come a long way and it's not only because of his love for Lachlan but also because he understands himself and his powers better. Lachlan too goes through a good growth and I love how protective he is of Cam. He was very timid in the beginning, so this courage he now has is excellent.

This trilogy is done really well and I had so much fun at Loch Ness with these adorable men.

It's a good conclusion of the series. The whole story is very imaginative and origianl. It was definitely going in unexpected directions. I can see how the ending needed to happen like that. I admit, I found it a bit "unbelievable" but we are talking about witches and monsters, etc.... so yeah... that's a "me-problem." I liked all the characters, especially Wolfie.
Having said this - the rating system these days deems 3 stars already as a bad review (and I think that's stupid but...) and therefore I give 3.5, rounded up to 4.

I am rating this book higher than the others in the series because this book was exactly what I was hoping for when I started reading the series. I wasn't quite sure when I started how this series could end up making sense and giving the guys an HEA, but the author did a great job of throwing in drama, magic, perserverence, and happiness. I really loved this one. I'm excited to see there is a follow up series with the Wulver. I didn't go into this series with high hopes as it was an author I hadn't read before, but I loved it.

Another excellent entry~ I would rate the first book higher after taking in the series as a whole. I am glad there are going to be more entries in this world at large and with these characters in particular.

Are the “powerups” and what not awfully convenient at times? Are the characters a little obtuse when it comes to putting together obvious clues? Yes and yes, but it was still a fun exciting ride.

And FINALLY we get some monster spice. lol

I genuinely couldn’t sleep for a good hour last night, and reading and finishing this book eventually managed to knock me out. So for that I am very grateful.

I will admit it is hard to disentangle the specifics of this book from the others, most more of the same in terms of bonkers fun, world building that is amusing but tenuous if you think about it too long and writing that is more or less competent.
