Debbie is a wonderful tale of a ferret who comes to live with Andrew and Charlie, the cat. Approximately 60 pages, with adorable illustrations, this a fantastic book for children - or anyone who wants to learn about having a ferret as a pet!

I was born in Belgium, immigrated to South Africa where I lived for fifteen years, before finally settling in Toronto, Canada. As the saying goes, ‘Life is a journey,’ and I try to use all of my varied experiences and exposure to diverse cultures to enrich my writing.
Another passion in my life is a deep love of animals. Mysterious and mystical felines are especially close to my heart, and I use my writing to bring awareness to their issues. The importance of spaying/neutering and support of animal rescue organizations are causes I champion as often as I can.
My book entitled, Kitten Diaries is now available on-line. It contains two ‘almost’ true and humorous kitten adventure tales. Chanel’s Story opens the book and is about my wonderful cat, Chanel, and her version of when I adopted her from an animal shelter. Queeny’s Diary is little Queeny’s story of when she is left with friends - and a houseful of other cats - while her owners go on vacation.
My next two projects will be children’s stories with cats and even a ferret as characters, followed by an expose of temporary workers in the workplace. If you think you know what it means to have a temporary job, think again.
My son and I live with our five cats and three fish. When not writing, I enjoy reading and ten-pin bowling.

DO NOT READ THIS AUTHOR!
This author complains bitterly that no one reads her work - it's little wonder why. Author's skills are non-existent and writes on Facebook how she wants people to bomb all Chinese people, including the kids. She makes racist comments about anyone who isn't white.
The books are awful; they are full of grammatical errors, and she clearly doesn't use an editor to polish her work. Awful person, awful writer.

My son read this book - this is what he wrote:
“I LOVE the book Debbie! I really like how you go into the world of the ferret and the cat and see all the things they do - watching movies, reading newspapers, even typing blogs! I also like how that when the humans are here, they have to not do these things and act like a cat or ferret, or whatever animal you are, but when the humans are away, the fun begins!”

I received this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway.
Debbie was a fun read. Neat idea to look at the life of a indoor pet through its own eyes. I liked how the cat, Charlie and the ferret, Debbie were able to communicate, and spent their days together learning! The end was quite humourous, talking about the animals writing blogs in secret. I also like how there was mention of adopting pets, and ensuring that they are properly taken care of.
