My Body Trilogy #3

My Body-Mine

Rate this book
Jane has accepted that the relationship with her husband Luke, who drew her into the darker side of BDSM, is over. She has taken refuge at the home of Luke’s powerful friend Marcello and his submissive, Janice. With Marcello’s patience exhausted, Jane must either submit to his demands or move on from his household and his support. Ultimately, she signs a six month contract of sexual servitude but, as Marcello and Jane grow closer, Janice feels neglected and jealous, creating tension in their normally easy daily rhythm.

In an effort to help Jane, her best friend Parker introduces her to Chase, a confident and flirtatious man who lacks the arrogance of either Luke or Marcello. Jane’s rapport with Chase is lighthearted and subtle, allowing her to gain a new perspective on men. She is intensely attracted to Chase but does not feel free to consider him as more than a friend.

Once Jane gets a real picture of Marcello’s extremes, she knows what she must do. Her feelings about Luke and Marcello and her own sexuality must be resolved before she can find true love with a man who appreciates everything she has to offer. Can she possibly find the kink she has come to desire without the full-time submission?

This Trilogy was AWESOME! It made a full and complete circle with a closure that was indeed the way it should have been! Blakely Bennett did a wonderful job with the characters and all the events that took place in this set. I would recommend this Trilogy to all the fans of the 50 Shades set.

I could not have picked a better ending to this wonderful series. I felt just about every emotion possible reading this last book. I have felt the emotions Jane felt and I wished I could send her comfort and strength throughout the book. I didn't like Marcello at first but I grew to love some of his ways. I often thought if I were in the same position as Jane would I have made the same choices she did? I am glad I read this trilogy. My life will never feel that same that's for sure. If you are looking for a book or books unlike any other I highly recommend these books. You won't be disappointed and you might never be the same after reading them either!!

OMG, I love this book just as much as My Body - His Marcello. This book had me shouting Noooooooo a few times.

Luke, Marcello and Jane are 3 interesting characters but are all better for meeting each other but Jane is the only one walking away happy.

What a great Trilogy!!!!

I am going to try and avoid spoilers … mostly.

So when last we saw Jane she had pretty much hit rock bottom. She had nowhere to go but up.

One point I want to make: I never saw Luke and Jane having an actual BDSM relationship while reading the first book. I kind of saw it in the second - at least around the edges. I can see it now. Luke wanted a Goren slave girl of his own - without figuring out how to get one. I actually place a lot of the blame for Luke’s issues on Marcello - although that doesn’t excuse Luke in any way. Marcello was a terrible role model. And frankly the way he coveted another man’s wife was unconscionable. He also firmly proved it again when he threatened Jane after she used her safe word - no Dom worthy of respect would ever do that. I don’t care how much he cares for his mother, that doesn’t make him a sympathetic character.

The problem for most of the book is that Jane is still in denial. Living with Marcello and playing at his being his submissive wasn’t going to get her anywhere. Eventually she had to make a decision - stay with Marcello, return to Luke, or move on with Chase. The question was, how and when she was going to decide? I hate to compare one book with another but this does certainly bear a certain resemblance to Burn for You - with one big difference being that Jane had friends and family relationships to work out as well.

So in the end, I gave the first book one stars, the second three, and this one is getting four. The fact is just because you are a submissive doesn't mean that Total Power Exchange is the right choice of lifestyle.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The final book of the my body his trilogy and i am saddened that is has come to an end but i am also ELATED that it turned out EXACLTY the way it was supposed to turn out.................. For EVERYONE involved!!! I am at a loss for words here. I connected SO much with Jane and the trials and tribulations throughout the entire series.. "UNDER PRESSURE" Favorite song!!! This story you will find a lost woman who is found and destroyed by LOVE but in turn found herself and actually rescued her heart and soul through the hell that she went through. The lessons to gey Jnae to where she needed to be were not easy to say the least but in the end she was able to heal herself and others!!! KUDOS AND I LOVE YOU BLAKELY!!!!!

I just finished reading this book. I have to say that this book had me thinking twice about Jane. She had so many choices to make thru out the book. I think at some point she had made the right choice by leaving her old life. I was so surprised that she actually let Luke go. She actually still loves him. I'm glad that Parker introduced her to Chase. She will e she get the life she always wanted and still have that dom/sub life style. I wonder if Marcello had really fell in love with her to ask her for her hand in marriage like Janice thought he was. That will stay a mystery.

What a great conclusion to the trilogy! It was hard to wait for the third book to be published and available for purchase because I was anxious to see how Jane's journey ended. It was very satisfying to see her grow in her self-confidence and sexuality. It was also good to get to know the other characters in her life better. I have to say I may never read another book about the BDSM lifestyle (too brutal for me!) but I will miss Jane. Blakely Bennett did a marvelous job of drawing you into her characters and making you want to learn more and more about them. Thank you Blakely for a trilogy I couldn't put down!

Well what can I say I read the Trilogy in a week gave my self sleep deprivation headaches at work lol. I loved the progression of the characters throughout the 3 books and especially loved how Jane seemed to by the 3rd book have found a comfortable place for herself to be . I will sure look forward to reading more from this Author in the very near future !

If you have read any of the previous books in the trilogy, then you are aware that Jane is on a journey of self-discovery and MY BODY-MINE is “Jane’s book”. If you have not read MY BODY-HIS & MY BODY-HIS MARCELLO, then you really must start from the beginning in order to grasp the full effect of the trilogy.

I really fell in love with this trilogy from the very beginning. In the beginning (MY BODY-HIS), I was drawn to the dark dominance that seems to possess Luke, but I know his brand of control is less than appealing to some readers. Then in MY BODY-HIS MARCELLO, as Jane’s journey progressed in the world of BDSM and she became more entrenched in the lifestyle, she began to understand that the lifestyle is about far more than being controlled.

MY BODY-MINE, the final book in the MY BODY TRILOGY brings Jane’s story full circle, more closely resembling her life, as she once knew it prior to “the lifestyle”. In this final installment, I quite enjoyed Jane’s somewhat feisty persona – she finally came out of the shell she has been hiding in since her relationship began with Luke. Readers who disliked Jane’s relationships in the first two books should be pleased with the decidedly different direction her life has taken in this third and final book.

Jane’s new love interest, Chase, is a doll – I LOVE HIM! Parts of me want more of him, but parts of me believe their story ended exactly where it was supposed to end.

MY BODY-MINE is a great end to a really fantastic trilogy! I am truly a fan of Blakely Bennett’s imaginative and emotional work. I am excited to see what she has in store for her readers next!

Absolutely amazing series! Book three focused on Jane's discovery of her true self and some understanding on what she wanted in a relationship and what she did not. What an amazing ride this series has been.

After the heartbreak of Luke, Jane tries to find herself while living with Marcello and Janice. Marcello insists that Jane keep her relationships going with friends, so she reaches back out to Parker. Through Parker, Jane meets Chase and they form a friendship. Jane finally makes some tough decisions about her life and works on healing her for a change.

I have to say, I was pleased on how things ended with everyone. Jane finally got what she needed and all of the characters ended up in a good place. Secretly, I was rooting for Jane, Marcello, Janice and Luke to move in together and live happily ever after!

This was such a good series that kept me up reading all night long. Blakely Bennett is an excellent story teller and I look forward to reading her other books. This will make it to my favorite series shelf. BRAVO!!

I finally finished the third book. Overall, I loved the series. I have to admit the first book was a hard read because it hit a little too close to home (although without the BDSM). But there is nothing more powerful than bringing yourself back from the depths and making your life about what it should be. We all make choices in life and sometime they are bad choices but good things come of them. Blakely Bennett’s writing and her portrayal of characters brings them to life. All of the characters add to the story and the twist and turns keep you turning the pages. Jane ends up figuring out who she is and what she wants even if it is a hard decision to make. And I can’t forget all the steamy scenes also! I highly recommend the series.

After completing My Body-Mine, I knew I would continue to write until I'm old and gray (okay, I'm already partially gray but you know what I mean).

I still long for a big bear hug from Marcello and totally fell in love with him writing this novel.

I know a few of my readers wanted a different ending to the series, but I followed where my characters took me and I stand firmly with the outcome. Jane grew so much through the trilogy and really came into her own.

Someday I might write a prequel and/or sequel. I would really love to dive into Luke and Janice's story.

Thanks to all my readers who connect with Jane and her dark journey.

I have to applaud this author. After reading the first book in this trilogy I was so pissed off and swore I wouldn't read the other two. Well, my curiosity got the better of me, and the second one still made me want to shake Jane super hard...but I really started to get attached to Marcello and Janice. Then finally, this last book was great. Jane really got some backbone, some perspective...(though there were a few moments I was freaking out going "nononono....this better not end here..." lol)But the ending was perfect. I'm glad now that I read all of them, because if not I think I would still be in a rage after the first one! haha

Well done Blakely!! Your trilogy was very riveting and got my blood moving quickly through my body! I was connected to the story line and happy with the resolution. My Body-Mine finished off the trilogy still asking for more. Maybe you can write the sequel...

Amazing, like always. She knows dialogue, she knows theme, she knows to keep a good pace, all of it. I am completely lost in her books. I never want them to end.

I am so torn about this book. While I desperately want to write this review, I struggle for words to describe how I felt about this book - the final book in the trilogy. All three books are written incredibly well in that they contain the right amount and delicate balance of emotion, will, passion, control, environment detail and character description.

What I enjoyed most about all three books is that they took me on a journey through my own mind and thoughts in both the capacity of poking at some similar feelings, yet differently elements, as well as offering me the escape into someone else's life which is one of the reasons we love fiction in the first place. It was impressive to me how the author, tho, of course not intentional to me personally, was able to pull me in and out of the story in different places as I could so closely relate to the main character sometimes and wanted to scream at her a moment later.

I read this book in just a few evenings.. but I found myself waking up in the middle of the night to read just one more chapter (that turned into 3 or 4 more).

Highly recommend this trilogy!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved this trilogy. <3 This author is a master with words as well as with characters. Jane finally finds her happiness! Throughout Jane's time with Marcello she realizes her wants are much different than his. But friendship is a thing that stays between them always. Chase came to the picture at just the right time. Jane finds comfort in him and his attraction. What starts out as just friends escalates to so much more. What a wild ride this trilogy takes you on ! And it is worth every page. Definitely a trilogy I will re read time and time again.

Finally! I loved this final book of the series! It had the usual cringe worthy moments along the way, but they made the end all the sweeter. By the time I got to the end I just wanted it to keep going. I wanted to live out the rest of their lives. I just feel like there could be so much more to tell haha.

Thank you, Blakely, for writing such a compelling story.
