Radley was wild, dangerous, and exciting. During summer vacation, we fell insanely in love. I thought I was never going to see Radley again, but then my dad got a job transfer and we ended up at the same high school.
He was completely different. He was in a motorcycle gang. His skin was pale. And he had scratch marks on his arm and face. What the hell was wrong with him? He didn’t want anything to do with me. And I was through with him. But he looked so sad. I just had to figure out how to help him. He looked like he was going to die. And to top it off, I thought I was going to die without him. And that’s when things got really strange…
Paranormal romance author of The Watermagic Series: Bluehour, Bluedawn, Bluewicked, Blueisland and The Roseville Vampire Series: Heavenly Killers, Heavenly Blood, Heavenly Rogues. Thanks sooooooo much for joining me on the journey! All the best to you, Brighton
this was a very good book. It was a mix between grease and the lost boys
this story is about 2 sisters who are moving for their father. their father is a drunk and also abusive. their mother ran off and they are not allowed to bring this up. Violet meet a boy named Radley. He looks like bad boy type and her father does not approve. He tells her that she is never allowed to see him again. Then that was it of their summer fling. The problem was that she was in love. One night a crow tried to get into her room. She let it in and it gave her a rose neck less with some red liquid in it. She didn't know what it was. She thought it was pretty and she then never took it off. Ariel, her sister was a total opposite. She loved to sleep around and had a new boyfriend every week. She wasn't happy about going to a new school, but quickly got herself a boyfriend. The good news was the new school they went to they both made friends with the same group. Ariel ran away from home one night and when she returned she looked totally different. Violet was getting mad because she felt like her friends were keeping something from her. Violet ended up seeing Radley at school. He was totally different from when she saw him last. He was hanging out with a gang, and told everyone that she was a whore. She still loved him. All of her new friends wanted her to sell her the neck less that she wore. She would not give it up. Little did she know that was Radley's life line and if he didn't get it back he would die, yes my friends they are all vampires. Violet has no idea what they are. The leader of the vampire group lord dyson finally met violet. He wanted her. He had a thing for virgins, and since she was 18 and a virgin her blood was very sweet. her friends were doing everything they can to keep her safe. that was until her new best friend got a creative idea...
I can't name a book with vampires which doesn't remind me Twilight, The vampire diaries or Evernight someway. I need a story with a bit of originality.
The first part of this was okay, but not great. I couldn't get into it, and felt like it was very stereotypical, not a fresh take on vampires. There are so many similar vamp stories that it's getting hard to distinguish them. Then there was the ending. It was ridiculous, and didn't give any information about what happened. I'm not even going to begin to go into details, because I might explode it would take too long. So, unless you really don't have anything else in the world to read, I wouldn't bother with this one.
I was pretty disappointed in this book and really have no desire to read any more in this series. It was written very elementary. It was hard to follow as she didn't make it clear enough who was narrating and it switched back and forth between Violet and her sister, Aeriel. Things happened too quickly and things weren't fully developed in the story. Lots of holes and questions but not even interesting enough to care to read more. Just wasn't up to par for me.
I had trouble taking the story seriously at first. There were a lot of parts in the story that led back to Twilight, The Lost Boys, and both Grease 1 and 2. I don't know if that was done intentionally, but it is a great story. My reason for choosing to read the book is because I have a connection to real place called Roseville. I love the story and I am looking forward to reading the next book.
It was quite good until about the last chapter and then it sort of slipped. I wasn't really sure what was happening since there was kind of a cliffhanger. It's probably just me that didn't get it though! Ahaha!
This book needs some editing, the story is very hard to follow sometimes and the sentences are confusing. I wish that it was better put together, this story had a lot of good elements that could have pulled out. Hopefully the author will get some help with the next book.
Omg this is an amazing book. You are going to fall in love with it. It is going to make you crazy.. I can't wait to see what is next for Violet and Radley and the rest of the gang
Much praise for Brighton Hill! I have fallen in love with the book! I really enjoyed the different take on the vampires and definitely couldn't put it down! I highly recommend it to everyone!
This book was just, boring. And to be fair the girl in it was just a idiot, didn't enjoy the story at all and sometimes I didn't get the reasoning behind it.
I really liked this book. It was a little like Grease, mixed with Buffy, and it held my interest. The resolution seemed a bit rushed, and expected. I will definately read the next one.
