It's hard to write anything without spoiling things!! Book 3 is still and will probably always be my favorite. But book 5 has me wishing it was June already. Taste started off slow for me, I felt Ava was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. At times almost rambling. It was a bit bizarre (and why I rated 4 instead of 5 stars...I was confused at the rushed almost ramblings). But as the action started Ava pulled it together and was the character I have grown to love so much.

Poor Ava. So much gets thrown at her and she just pulls up her big girl panties and marches along. She is the type of heroine that I love to read about. And I will say, I used to hate Gabe...with a passion. But whether he has his own agenda or if he has come around to Team Ava...he changed in this book. He was actually likable. *gasps!*

If you are looking for a series that is quick and action packed, I would recommend the Ava Delaney Series. But if you are looking for sex, lots of romance...this won't be for you. While there are kisses (more so in this book then the others), it is focused on the action and how Ava is trying to save what she holds near and dear.

Solid read, well done Ms Farrell.

Things I loved about this book:
The werewolves - I want to know more! I want them to be freed!!!
Their "connection" with Ava
Phoenix - Could he really be the twins' dad? What happened to him? What will happen next with him?
The relationships between the rebels and Ava.
The rebels and their variety of powers and diversity!
Gabe - I want to learn more about him
Carl and his friendship with Ava

Things that are frustrating me about this book:
I wish Ava would stop whining and drowning is self pity! It's really irritating. It seemed to happen way too much in this book.
Peter? What's happening? He was this dark mysterious and strong character. He suddenly became lame and almost irrelevant. He had so much potential!
Emmett's gone? And Peter too? Why?!
There was way too much violence but I guess it was a war...

Either way, can't wait to read on. I realised that there are novellas that I should have been reading between books so I'm going to catch up on those before reading on, so I'm completely up to date.

Fight a Big War

I gave this book a rating of 5 because I loved it. I loved how Ava took charge of everything when it mattered the most. She didn't just fight fr the paranormal but also for the humans . She brought then together to fight as one. She shows that she can be a leader while she think she isn't fit to be a leader. She gave people a reason to stand up for what they believe in. I recommend this book to anyone that loves anything dealing with paranormal.

This was fucking amazing! FYI: I hate that damn council! More evil beings I've never read about, they have no conscience and are so absolutely selfish its just fucking disgusting! I, for one, cannot wait until the Rebels rebel!

Ava keeps constantly surprising me, her quick wit and funny comebacks make for a very engaging read!

Peter...well he's an ass and maybe its better that he left, though I feel bad for little Emmett.

Near to an end

I really loved this book, number 5 in the series. The storyline flows hearts are broken, friendships made and travellers take their journeys. The long awaited big battle scene is written so loved ones get lost. Cannot wait for the last book in the series Thank you Claire Farrell for all the entertainment thoroughly enjoyed.

Continuing great story line

Fun but battles are a little simplified. A plot hole when the antagonists use helicopters why don’t they use weapons of mass destruction? Also war in England isn’t clear, do they take over parliament, isn’t something like that on the news? How do other countries step in, when book was written EU was still intact. Still fun

Ava gets a brief glimpse of having a family while Peter and his son live in her home.
The coming war has arrived. A major battle is fought and won. However, it leads to even more questions.

Off to war

The battle has been fought now to win a war... Ava has lost much but there is still one more big piece to do. This book had all the feels. Still lots of adult profanity.

Although with a lot of action, and new characters, this one seems to get less enjoyable them the others.
I like the turning tides.

I loved this book! I have every book in the Ava Delaney series and this was by far my favorite. Ava really comes into her own in this book as she gets one step closer to being the great leader she is meant to be!

Ava's back & the fight just keeps getting bigger! War is on the way to destroy the little bit of peace that Ava had scratched out for herself with Peter & Emmette. Ava & her friends have an army of beasts to fight & they are unsure about who they can trust. Lots of excitement, action & a little romance. Can't wait for book 6, but sad that it will be the last book in the series, as Ava is such a great lead character, one of my all time favourites!

I actually really enjoyed this book. The plot and side stories of all the characters really start to come together. Ava is much less annoying and the book is pretty action packed. I don't know why this series was different than most like this for me, but I dealt with the vulgarity and am excited to read the next one. Again, I would not recommend this my teen nieces.

Sometimes I read the book and think Ava is a complete bitch and then sometimes she is awesome. I've never raved 100% about them and am glad to see the next book is the last in the series as it is nice to finish this series.

A good read but as per the number of reviews definitely more a female book than a male

Repeated review.

Alright, so, apparently, I have owned this eBook since 2019 and never actually bothered reading it until now and I am deleting it; and I am definitely sure I got it for free back then, so, lucky me.

This was a waste of my time but, thankfully, I only read a few chapters and not the whole thing. That was enough for me to realize that the writing wasn’t that compelling to me.

I'm just in love with this series, can't wait for the last book to come up on June. This book has a lot of action it doesn't let you need and is TO SHORT you can read it in a day but it will lead you to more questions while answering some others.

What a book! I am shocked of what happened in this book. I hope Peter & Emmett come back to Eva!.

I hope that Pheonix turns out to be the twins father after all they have been through.

I can't wait for "Traitor" to come out in June!

Loved this!!!!!

Still loving this series but gutted I'm having to wait till June (2013) for the next book!!! Seeing Ava come into her own is great but the poor girl never seems to get a break..... Only 2 months to see what life has to throw at her next!

I continue to enjoy the story, but not the language so I can't give it 5 stars. Eva keeps changing though out the story and getting stronger and more confident, but when her family leaves she is falling apart and I wonder why the author decided that had to happen. I hope we get to see them again.

Just when I thought I had enough of Ava, who constantly whines at Peter now, this book happens. My interest in the series has definitely been reinstated. Stuffer through 2/3 of this book and you shall be rewarded.

Great book, the series is really starting to come together and you get an idea to what is going to happen in the final book, it's nice to see ava taking a stand now as throughout most of the series she's being doing as she's been told, looking forward to book 6.
