A very good sci-fi zombie series. Set in outer space in an isolated mining space station. Is the station empty? Where are all the people? How does this story tie into 1800's back in London? Creepy darn good. I thought it was well written and it got my attention for sure.

Zombies in outer space? What an awesome prospect!

The book reads like and action movie and you are sitting in the the front seat with the characters. And mentioning the "cast" - man are there some interesting people.

The book is fun to read, and just awesome entertainment.

This is serialized fiction and they have me hooked! i have bought book two as well and finished it in one night.

My only problem is...I NEED MY NEXT FIX!! so come on MR's Finn and Webb, get cracking with that next installment.

I’m usually a romance type of girl but I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and WOW! Am I glad I did. I bought the 5 ebook series on Amazon and couldn’t put it down.

Kill Them Dead. I don’t even know where to start. I was hooked from the first page. I loved the characters. I love how we find out what caused the virus, movies and shows usually don’t tell us that part. And that ending 🤯

I will say there are a few loose threads I wish I knew the outcome of.
Did Jason and his bunch make it to the hangers?
What happens with Billy? Will he end up being the key that saves us all?
What about freaky Lachlan?
What of Peyton?
I need answers!

I am emotionally exhausted. Thank you Mr Webb (Finn?) for such a great read…this would make one hell of a movie 😉

Wow

I didn’t like the first chapter. But the rest - a zombie outbreak IN SPACE? Too good not to put down. Plus a catching ending. Here’s to book 2!

When the asteroid mining vessel, Photon-II returns to Orion – the space station – it quickly becomes clear to the crew that something is very wrong. A total communications black-out forces the crew of Photon-II to dock manually without any clearance. However, once they are on board they discover that the Orion appears to be completely abandoned and that the Photon-I never seemed to have left for its duty either. In order to find out what’s going on, David Taylor and Jason Clark split the crew into two groups, one heads to the armoury and the other to the food court. Unfortunately they soon make the discovery that they are not alone, and that something deadly is lurking in the shadows, but what?

Kill them Dead: Genesis – Episode 1 by Benn Finn and Marc Webb is a serialised novella which plays off in space, however the story starts further back in history… back in the times of kings and queens… That being said, in the here and now, what better way to give ya’ll a taste of what this series is about than to start with saying: “Zombies in space!”, because that’s exactly what Kill Them Dead: Genesis – Episode 1 is setting the series up for. With a prologue that plays off in 1599 and then time travels to 2022 when asteroid mining is possible in Chapter 1, there’s a lot of possibilities for where this story may go in the future, but one thing is sure… THERE ARE ZOMBIES IN SPACE!! That’s right, not even in the final frontier will we be able to escape the terrors of the undead, Benn Finn and Marc Webb made sure of it.

I would be lying if I said that this was a literary masterpiece, but it’s great fun if you’re in the mood to read something short, not to mention if you’re in the mood for a sci-fi novel with a gory twist. There were a few grammatical issues with the book, and editing mistakes, but it didn’t hinder my reading of the novella whatsoever. Other than that though, I couldn’t find much fault. I’m hoping that the gore factor would pick up in the future of the series, because there is so much potential for it. Granted, it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to get to read this story, which definitely scores some big points in my ledger.

Kill Them Dead: Genesis – Episode 1 has its flaws, but it makes up for them in other ways. All in all, it won’t appeal to everyone, but to zombie lovers and sci-fi horror fans, I’m sure this will be right up your alley. I mean, come on, how often do you find a book about zombies in space?

This was tough. Almost gafve it a four star but I have to be fair and looking at my other four stars I'm not sure this was there. Let's call it a 3.5 then. As a stand alone short story from a couple indie writers it was pretty good so far. But it is episode one of a larger series of stories. I think I saw that there were four of them, maybe five. I will probably look them up eventually and I think that I like where the plot is going. It's a science fiction-horror with zombies. Sort of a "Event Horizon" type horror story complete with a "ghost ship." I definitely love that whole idea and sub-genre and wish that there were more scifi-horror stories.

E-book

I should have known better if "Episode 1" is part of the title. I gave this three stars as I really was getting into the story when it abruptly ends. I REALLY hate teasers. I have no idea if this keeps getting better or if it falls flat.

I love the whole sci-fi mystery to it with a zombie angle thrown in. If this is ever released as an entire book, I might go back and read this. In the meantime, I have stacks of books to read that are complete stories.

It's zombies in space. Zombies. In. Space.

Don't worry it's not as cheesy as it sounds. In fact, so far it has the makings of a pretty good thriller. I could easily see it being made into a horror movie. The setting's got the creep factor down. The red emergency lights flashing constantly. The empty space station.
Of course the group splits up.
The zombies only really make an appearance at the very beginning and the very end. Which are time frames separated by centuries. (Don't worry, it makes sense.)

This first episode was fast paced and creepy. As I said before I could definitely see this easily be transformed into a horror flick. I want to see who makes it out alive in the end.

The first episode is currently free on Amazon. Pick it up. I'd love to hear your thoughts about it.
