The second Watson Twins Mystery by J. Brooks Van Dyke continues the Uncle Sherlock like sleuthing of Emma and Richard Watson. In this book we wonder how one can tell the authentic from the forgery? Are we talking about art, people, police, or spiritualists? It really doesn’t matter because if we take everyone and everything at face value, we need to be sure that what we are seeing is really what is there. Even Richard Watson, twin son of Dr. Watson, has to take a step backwards to be sure he is correct. Old secrets, family promises, and pure evil combine to make his job more difficult. Along the way he realized that there are some things that were more important to him than anything he had ever known. I enjoyed this book and am anxiously awaiting The Third Watson Twins Mystery Great Cordelia’s Bones.
