I really enjoyed how this book started with what Rosa Parks was known for and from there, went through her life. Beginning like that can show kids her significance and then allow them to be interested to get to know more about her. As a kid, I heard about Rosa Parks but no one ever took the time to talk about her life before and after in schools. She has done so much good in her life and I was intrigued to see how she captivated the eyes of many despite the risks. The only complaint I have is that the pages are a little lengthy to be a picture book. Overall, it was very informing and the black and white illustrations were simply beautiful. I would have a discussion about what it was like during those times and get their feelings, thoughts, and words of wisdom.
