better than the first one, it focused a lot more on one story & then there were 2 short ones who were the 2 best stories in both volumes in my opinion.
I did not care at all about the "main" couple, there's just something about their characters that's quite a bit annoying to me, I think it's mostly Nana's character design there's something so weird with how she looks to me but I can't grasp what. Their personalities were quite bland, in two volumes I didn't get why they liked each other for any other reason that they knew each other for a long time and for the couple that was the most developed it shouldn't be the case, especially when the other stories with a lot less pages did a way better job at it. At least that got a little better when the conflict near the end happened and we saw them arguing. But yeah, the other stories were definitely better.
I appreciated some aspects of this more than the first volume. By focusing on the characters from the first story of the first volume, by addressing some of the nuances of the Japanese lesbian experience (e.g., is it gross, can I protect her, can my friend accept it) in ways that are, if simplistic, at least realistically handled, and by presenting the evolution of their relationship physically in a quiet and no frill way, this volume achieves a more coherent and deeper narrative.
3 stars. Meh. This series isn’t my favorite. It’s not terrible but it’s not all that great either. The story is a bit of a mess, the characters are bland but the artwork is nice. I’m hot and cold with Milk Moringa’s work but for the most part mostly cold.
you writethe absolutely best stories. I really relate to the fears and Hope's of your characters. I hope you write longer series that will include all your ideas. 😉😆🤩😍
