This is a lovely story to teach young children about the values of friendship and forgiveness.
The pictures are nice and colourful which would appeal to young children while the story will get older children (5 or 6 years old) talking about the ideas which occur such as boredom and jealousy. This book could be read allowed to early years children, while older children would benefit from independant reading of this book.

Tres Osos is a sweet story about friendship. Brown Bear, Black Bear, and White Bear are caught in a storm that destroys Black Bear's boat and Brown Bear's house. Poor Brown Bear gets injured and while he heals, they work on a secret surprise that makes Brown Bear very jealous. I'd use it for Spanish and bilingual story time, but I think having a talk about feelings and emotions before and after would make for a wonderful addition to the story.
