Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling Author Glenna Maynard comes an enemies to lovers, age-gap motorcycle club romance. My father’s life is on the line. He owes Kings of Anarchy MC thousands, and I’m his most valuable asset. One night of my life in exchange for the rest of his. Only Hero Miles doesn’t want to let me go. And I don’t know if I want him to. I’m his property now.
Glenna Maynard is a Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling Author best known for her gritty motorcycle club romances. She has a passion for writing antiheroes and romance as dark as her heart with over 60 titles published. When she isn’t arguing with the voices in her head or drinking reader tears you can find her curled up with a good book or attempting a new craft with her kids and husband in Eastern Kentucky.
This feels very short. I just couldn't get into it. They go into lockdown and there are basically 3 women and the heroine plus a prospect as the ones protected. I know the men of the club went off to sort out the problem but it felt like a teenie weenie club. Huge other woman drama. After he brings the heroine to the club, deposits her in his room, he goes to find other woman/club bunny but she's with another guy so he leaves. If she hadn't been it gives the impression he would have taken her up in an earlier offer. After that he refuses repeated offers. No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine. HEA. Breadcrumbs dropped for future books.

4.25 stars This is a good start for a new series. Sure it was short and the relationship was a bit underdeveloped but the author hinted in her ending note there will be more to come. Hero the mmc is the VP of the MCc / he hires Ophelia’s father for a drug run. He steals The load and disappears. Hero comes looking and finds Ophelia. He kidnaps her and takes her back to the club. Big Daddy the prez wants his money and his drugs back. All Ophelia has is her V card. Hero says she can either work in the strip club or sell her V card. Of course he says that but does really mean it. There’s snarky banter and a little club business. Some OW drama but really no angst. No cheating. I really wanted to read Big Daddy’s book but decided to start with this one. I didn’t skim- it kept my attention.
Hero is Ophelia's hero in some ways. She is taken by Hero in the beginning for something that had happened. However it doesn't take long for him to go all caveman over her.
Of course you have to have some OW drama. This definitely has that between Lucie and Sissy. Can't wait to find out about the "who's the daddy" situation. Unfortunately for me this didn't have any cheating maybe one of the next books will.
Also you have some danger like any good Biker book has. That gets cleaned up.
I was swooning over how protective Hero was. Might of been grouchy sometimes, but he was yummy!
MC lovers this is a book you want to get your hands on because it is full of everything from a bad*ss biker who kidnaps a woman for paying the price her father left her with to steam and club drama. This was a huge page turner for me and I can’t wait to read more on the men and women from the KOA MC. This new series of the Kings of Anarchy MC will definitely be a one click read for me.
What I liked: I loved how Hero(H) was so possessive of Ophelia(h) even when he was acting like an ass. I loved how both Sissy and Lucie was finally called out.
What I didn’t like: I needed more at the end especially with them dating. I especially need to know who the daddy is. Also, after Ophelia tried to save her dad, I wanted her to demand more answers with Big Daddy.
***Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: CW drama. H has a guy do a run for the MC and when it goes missing H goes to his house and finds the h instead. h is the guy’s daughter. H takes h in hopes that her dad will come out of hiding. Some cw drama happens. Everything gets sorted. H and h get their HEA
Descriptive Sex: Yes
Final thoughts: This was a great start to the KOA MC. I’m interested in knowing Big Daddy’s story and I hope Kidd gets a book too.
This is a new author to me and I was not disappointed this was fast and didn't stall it kept flowing right until the end loved it and this and I've pre ordered the next one
We have a new MC to start obsessing over. I liked the storyline it was fast paced and kept my attention. Ophelia's dad is a waste of space who gets into debt with the wrong people and literally leaves her to face the music for his misdeeds. Hero is the biker who comes calling and takes her as collateral. From the start there is this simmering attraction between them. Ophelia has a smart mouth and delights in pushing Hero to see if he will react. I enjoyed the chemistry that sparks whenever they are together. I loved his idea of romancing her, but don't expect hearts and flowers just lots and lots of O's 🔥 We don't learn too much about the MC but as it's only the first book there is plenty of time to get to know the other guys. There is some OW drama but no cheating and no really dark MC drama, you going soft on us Ms Maynard😉 A good first book that has me looking forward to more of this series.
It was ok. It's insta everything. Pretty short with only about 200 pages. Not even worth the price if you ask me. I felt zero chemistry with MMCs Hero and Opeliah. They're all of a sudden in love in one week though Hero went in search of his fuck buddy Lucie to get off. Make of that what you will. Ends on unresolved matters. Lucie could be pregnant with Hero's baby, but we don't know yet. Opeliah was just there. No real character really. Unfortunately this series with a bunch of different authors isn't free and it isn't cheap. Especially me being international. A few books I've already seen don't even have a physical copy, so it feels almost like a money grab. I'd rather have the physical copy than having to spend 10 to 15 usd just for a download. I find myself irritated.
OMG!!! Property of Hero - Kings of Anarchy MC is the beginning of a new series by Glenna Maynard and boy does she deliver. This is a dramatic, action packed , fast paced story with an insta-love connection. Your about to take a wild ride or die adventure between intense biker Hero and cheeky Ophelia. Hero's first encounter with Ophelia is aggressive when he goes to her home looking for her father who owes the club 50K and learns he is on the run leaving Hero no choice but to kidnap her to draw her father out. Their interaction with each other is full of conflict leading up to an explosive connection that is is hard, fast and intense.
Ophelia finds she is thrown into a situation due to her father, she is bold, sassy and mouthy but will find she is no match for Hero. Will Hero be able to break her as she refuses to give up her father? Now she finds she has to pay her father's debt when she comes face to face with Big Daddy, will she be able to give herself as payment to save her father? Hero finds himself drawn to her and the more they argue they end up giving into the passion that can no longer be denied, Hero will take on her debt as he finds he wants her when he tells her "You’re mine, little dove. Mine to have. Mine to protect. Mine to love. I promise you I’ll make a life with me worth it.” But club drama will become a factor when Lucie and Sissy both want Hero and have plans to keep these two apart. Will Ophelia give Hero the answers he seeks once she has given herself to him? The storyline and characters was well written as the main characters have to deal with club conflict, intrigue, suspense, violence with plenty of steamy sex throughout.
Soon Ophelia will learn the truth about her father's involvement, will she be able to save him? Will Hero be able to protect her once he claims her? Soon Hero and the club will be betrayed with Ophelia being the main target, will Hero get to her in time? Many questions still need to be answered as we will have to wait for the next book. Property of Hero was passionate, raw and consuming as you follow Hero and Ophelia's journey. Glenna Maynard has once again given her readers a new MC Series, can't wait to read more about these tough, bad$ss bikers of the Kings of Anarchy MC. I highly recommend this book!
This author is taking us on an incredible journey with Hero and Ophelia. We first read about Hero and Ophelia in the Dissent Anthology. It took me a bit to warm up to Hero but once I did, oh my goodness! Thanks to her father, Ophelia finds herself in a heckuva mess when Hero, the VP of the Kings Of Anarchy MC and some of the guys come calling. Through no fault of her own she's thrown into repaying a debt that isn't hers and these guys are not known for being nice. Everything happens so fast she can hardly get a grip on all that's going on. Lucky for her Hero is more than willing to help her find out.
"You’re mine, little dove. Mine to have. Mine to protect. Mine to love. I promise you I’ll make a life with me worth it.”
This is an exciting, intense, fast paced, insta love/lust story introducing us to a brand new club. Can't wait for more! Hopefully Big Daddy's book will be next.
Omg, I love the sassy vixen of this story. Ophelia and Hero are a match made in heaven and hell. Finding out more than she ever knew about the man she called father started this relationship. A relationship that both of them could not walk away from, or each other. I fell in love with Hero when he made the decision to her his. I gave this a 5 star rating because of the way that Hero stood out above all other men of the story. Also because of the sassy Ophelia. Characters and plot stood out in this story. Another reason for the 5 star review is because the author put this story to task. Meaning that she wrote the story as if she was Ophelia. I fund that to be intriguing. Ms. Maynard has the beginning of an awesome MC series. If the next books are like this they will all be in my kindle library. I can't wait to see what else is in store for The Kings of Anarchy club.
I really enjoyed this book. I didn't know what to expect but it turned out to be more than I expected. This is my first book by this Author and I will be reading more. At times the suspense gets so intense I couldn't read fast enough to find out what was gonna happen next. At times my eyes filled with tears for poor Ophelia. She gets dragged into something that has nothing to do with her all because her father is a total *sshole. The mystery of what was missing definitely had me stumped wondering if Ophelia really knew the answers or not. I was consumed from the very beginning. At times I felt the characters inner monologue was too much, it drove me crazy and I was tempted to skip pages to get past it but I didn't. The sex scenes were off the charts smokin hot! I highly recommend this book to everyone.
Hero and Ophelia story we seen in Dissent anthology but it was just a taste to what to come and it's the extension of the story, Ophelia father has to give a debt to hero and his motorcycle gang and that's how he returns the debt in form of Ophelia. I have to say one thing that I am loving what addition and what genre Glenna is writing like this woman knows how to write MC romance and I can't wait to see who is gonna be next in this series. The plot and pace and Chemistry was over the top fabulous.
I first read this story in the Dissent anthology where it gave you a taste of this new MC chapter, Kings of Anarchy. I really liked the storyline then but even more with the expanded details. It gave me more than enough of the story to leave me wanting more and it kept my attention from start to finish. I liked that Hero and Ophelia have this draw to each other with a bit of push and pull. I also liked the interactions between the main characters as well as the age gap between them. Overall, it's paced well and it delivers a page turner read. I look forward to reading more of this new series, to finding out more about the characters, and to see how this new MC is going to play out.
Great read! leaves you wanting to know more about Hero & Ophelia. The way she stood up for herself even though she was scared made her a great person for Hero. I love how Hero stood up for her and took his chance to be with her and help her pay off the debt her father made. I felt like i could read about these two forever. The laughs, Sass & emotions between these two was great. Loved how protective he became over her instantly! loved how fast they connected & fell inlove with one another . Great book
There was no development in their relationship, they literally go from hating each other (especially on Ophelia's part) to confessing their love, within the same chapter, and they've known each other 3 days. It's just completely unbelievable. Also all the protecting of her father makes no sense, if he's as crappy a father as she's making him out to be, there would be no loyalty there, and she'd tell them everything she knows and wouldn't even consider selling herself to meet his debts. Again, it's just completely unbelievable.
Another great story by Glenna Maynard, I couldn't put the story down. Hero and Ophelia's story was written well, their journey was a rollercoaster but they were truly meant for each other, their connection was intense, their chemistry was just off the charts, steamy. Their journey wasn't easy but they were strong, fighters that were made to be together. I enjoyed this story, it's great, I'd suggest reading it. Thank you, Glenna Maynard. Wonderful job, I really enjoyed it :)
Holy crap!! What a read!! This is full on from the first page and it does not let up!! Ophelia's father owes Hero's MC large and when he does a runner, Ophelia is left to deal with it on her own. Hero cannot explain the connection he feels to Ophelia but there is so much more in play. When all is revealed, Holy crap!! I cannot wait for more from this new MC!! Love this author!
I just loved Hero & Ophelia in the Dissent Anthology and now we have their full story. Hero lives up to his name, Hero. His protectiveness over her was brilliantly written. Ophelia is quite the spitfire with sass to boot. Their chemistry of off the charts hot!!! I cannot wait to read more from the Kings of Anarchy MC! Specifically Big Daddy. Hint hint!! Another great read from this beloved author.
Holy moly, this new series is so good and I read it in one sitting. Just couldn't put it down.
Hero takes Ophelia as payment on a debt that her father owes, trying to draw him out. These two have so much chemistry between them that my Kindle got H O T! It has action, lust, club drama, and lots of temptation. Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. Still need some answers. Loved this book.
Wow, just wow! What a way to start off a new series. This story was intensely invigorating, raw, gritty and thrilling. Amongst all the chaos Hero and Ophelia find something neither of them were expecting. Their banter is witty, their chemistry is undeniably alluring but their connection is what did it for me, they have trust in one another that was simply amazing. I enjoyed every single moment of this book. Cannot wait to see what comes next.
The anti-hero Hero was delicious. Meaty. Flavorful. 10:10 would recommend. Fun read for those who enjoy a semi reluctant hero and heroine thrown together by club drama, the cartel, betrayal and boo boo kitty bandaids. Silly other woman drama that’s cackle worthy. These garden tools are a trip. Light summer read that passed the time quickly. Yummy treat for poolside reading.
Hero and Ophelia has a rocky start but like all go things it was worth the wait. We also get to meet some of the new characters I'm this chapter and boy Glenna doesn't disappoint on the drama. I could not put this book down and ended up staying up way to late. Which of course I will pay for tomorrow or today actually. Get on broad friends, you will enjoy this one because it has all. Peace out.
I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
I loved reading this book. It is the first book in a neee series and I can't wait for the other books. It has been a while since I read a MC book and this one reminded me why I use to ready them so much. This book involves payback for the sins of the father. Club drama. Moments that will melt your kindle and have you ok the edge of your seat. It is a book you do not rant to miss.
DNF Ophelia is yet another 22 yr old virgin/slutty whore who is weak, pathetic, whiny, "woe is me my life sucks". There is dubious consent in that Hero touches her inappropriately while she's sleeping but her being such a slut accepts it. Then she almost gets raped by her boss and that's where I stopped. The writing and story was not good enough to overcome all the ridiculous redundant tropes. It was unbelievable and unbelievably bad.
This was an amazing short read, but I absolutely enjoyed Hero & Ophelia story totally 100% opposites attract, and the storyline draws you in... She is definitely Hero's weakness; he is meant to take her to pay the price for her father's sins, but has he bit off more than he can handle? Can he tame her and her mouth and the sass she possesses?
Ophelia’s father owes the Kings of Anarchy MC and when he runs he leaves her in the clutches of Hero the VP he takes her to the club, he wants the 50k and he’s determined to get it one way or the other, but he doesn’t figure in falling for her.
Loved this, just wish it was longer and I can’t wait for more from the KOA MC
A debt owed by her father brings her deep into the fold of the King's of Anarchy MC and particularly the formidable VP called Hero. Hero is a guy who doesn't take anything less than what he is owed, what he deserves and that's no different for Ophelia...he takes it upon himself to make her his, whilst looking for her father...this is a fast paced story that brings us the beginning of a brand new club series for us to devour, and I can't wait to see what's next!
What a great start to a new series by Miss Maynard. This is kind of an Insta lust/attraction story, even though Hero, technically kidnapped Ophelia. I enjoyed the story and getting to know some new characters. I really wish I had more answers to some questions but I’m sure those are coming as the series progresses so I will impatiently wait for the next installment.
