On the whole a good book and seemed thoroughly researched and kept my interest. In light of today's current events I think they are probably lining up pretty well with prophesy. I do agree however with one other reviewer, in that the author was sometimes a bit repetitious.

For anyone who has read the passages in the Bible about the last days and wonders what the signs of impending doom might be, this is the book to read. When you think about the information in the book in terms of what's happening in the world today, it's downright frightening. I don't necessarily believe everything in the book, but it made me think about the meaning of some of the world's recent events in a new light. Most of the time, I'm caught up in my day-to-day activities and don't give much thought to current events, but what if my daily routine was completely uprooted because I ignored the signs and didn't take action to preserve the right to my beliefs/values? What if my Christian lifestyle was no longer the norm, or worse, no longer acceptable? Would I be able to adapt to a Muslim-dominated world? Would my faith remain strong in the face of persecution? I don't know, but I've been thinking about it more often after reading this book.

The war on terror has always been about the control of Mediterranean oil. The U.S. and it's allies are so dependent on foreign oil that the safety of the American people is out at risk. The U.S.government has been deceitful in its dealings with the Arabic and Muslim world. This book talks about how the government has traded our safety for its need of oil. World ending events are outlined in this book. The author writes from a Christian point of view. I really enjoyed learning about how oil has played a major role in world affairs and how Christians see these events as the beginning of what is referred to as the end of days or the Lord's day where a world ending war will take place over the control of oil and how this was will usher in the second coming of Christ. This book was well worth the effort and I really enjoyed learning about how much foreign affairs Center around the cost, access, and control of Mediterranean oil.

This is an unfortunately skewed assessment of Biblical apocalyptic literature. It’s a shame that it gained such popularity and possibly influenced many people’s understanding of what the Bible is actually saying. I encourage anyone reading this to critically think through things and read commentaries on the books of the Bible laid out.

Originally written in 1974, this work was updated after 9/11. The title was changed to reflect the new edition, the first revision was in 1990-91 during the first Gulf War. If you are not prepared for the future, this book is eye opening and could be a little scary, depending upon your personal beliefs and/or your relationship with the Saviour. Regardless, this is a worthwhile read. Corelates end time prophecy with today's headlines and shows the relationship between other prophecies and events that have already transpired. Although the original author has already passed away, the current revision was updated by the authors son and one of his students, and I think they have done a credible job.

It's a good book, with plenty of biblical references, but could easily be half as long if they cut out all the redundancies. (If I need to review something, I can easily find it in previous chapters.) Anyone reading this book and looking for something else along these lines needs to read "Epicenter: Why the current rumblings in the middle east will change your future" by Joel Rosenberg. I've read everything he has out and am counting the days until his next novel!!

Not what I was looking for. I got from the introduction that the author holds a "my way or the highway" kind of view, which rings true with what I saw from this author in another book I just recently finished. From everything I've seen from him, Walvoord's attempts at reasoning come across as too simplistic for my taste. I'll probably go with one of the "multiple views" style books on eschatology instead.

A very good and nteresting book that's not to be missed,

a timely books for understanding the current world events (that don't seems out of date). But on the contrary, it seems that the daily world events are falling in place as what the authors have written.
A good book for those (believers) who are interested in end-time prophesies and also for those who have yet to find hope in the eternity.

Order today and read today! I'm not usually swept away with Bible prophesy - I have enough to deal with in the here and now! This book is so well written, reads less like a book on prophesy and more like a "guide to current events". Read it twice. I couldn't put it down.
