Simon Christopher Francis Furman is a British comic book writer who is best known for his work on Hasbro/Tomy's Transformers franchise, starting with writing Marvel's initial comic book to promote the toyline worldwide, as well as foundations for both Dreamwave Production's and IDW Publishing's takes on the Generation 1 minifranchise.
It's a shame the story here doesn't get more space to breathe than a four-issue mini-series, but it was entertaining enough. Cleverly slots in just before Beast Machines in a way that not only preserves that story but gives some additional background to what happens to Megatron before that series begins. Fun stuff: colourful, explosive and has Grimlock in it.
via NYPL - a pretty routine end-of-all-creation "epic" with few characters to invest yourself in. The illustrations are nice, although the storytelling is frequently poor and the character designs leave a lot to desire.
