“The Skeleton On The Surfboard”. An amazing sequel to the original book.

Ryan “Skate” McGraw is headed to his Uncle Edgar’s house to celebrate thanksgiving. Skate is having nightmares about The Skeleton On The Skateboard which he encountered back at home. His Uncle Edgar resides on a small island in Florida, named Bone Island. After being attacked by a skeleton in his Uncles study, he gets his skateboard confiscated for a month. Fortunately he is introduced to surfboarding by “Shell”, a very talented and skilled surfer, and he allows Skate to use one of his boards. Just like Ben Marrow, the skilled skater from the original book, Shell is extremely ominous and is constantly appearing and disappearing.

Positives: Bone island was an amazing setting, and I loved the beach atmosphere throughout the book. And there is an absolute masterpiece of a scene near the end of the (I can’t say what makes the scene so great because of spoilers).

Negatives: The last two pages are extremely stupid and bring the book down a little bit in my opinion. Sort of similar to the last two pages of Egg Monster From Mars.
