The sadness in little Billy Lupton's eyes spoke his need more clearly than words ever could.
But Nick Lupton, Billy's father, was fighting demons of his own - unanswered questions about his wife's death and about the strange 'accidents' that were threatening to destroy his life's work. And now Betsy Johnson, Billy's principal, was blaming him for Billy's failing grades.
Betsy's criticism was the last thing Nick needed...or was it? Billy was beginning to smile again and, surprisingly, Nick found himself looking forward to her visits. It seemed that just as he thought life couldn't get much worse...it began to get much better.
It was ok. I didn’t like how Betsy was condescending of Nick’s parental ways as she has never been a parent herself. However, I did appreciate how much she loved his son Billy. I also was surprised by the twist of who the culprit was. Great job on that plot twist.
