CPTED's basic premise is that crime springs from the very opportunities given by the environment itself. Those opportunities manifest through environmental cues that are read and interpreted by the potential offender.

As such, it is possible to reduce crime by manipulating the environment through its design and management.

Very interesting indeed. Recommended.
