This was very exciting and fun! I knew there was gonna be some fun chaos in the land of chaos when Goggles got to the Splatlands in a unique way compared to the games. This is gonna be a fun addition to the Splatoon series!

If you’re hoping for a Splatoon story, this isn’t it. I hoped this might be a fun little story, but it’s really just a long, though cute, ad for the game Splatoon 3. And I’m a fan of Splatoon. But all this really does is highlight the new weapons, hair styles, and specials that came out with the third game. To call this a story is paper thin at best.

The art is cute, story basically non existent, nd there’s no character development.

Reading Splatoon 3 with my Splatoon-loving kid was such a fun experience — and honestly, that’s what makes this book four stars for me. If you’ve got a young gamer in your life who already adores the world of Inklings and Octolings, this book is a fantastic way to get them excited about reading.

The story captures the energy and quirky charm of the Splatoon universe really well. It’s fast-paced, playful, and full of the kind of imaginative details that kids (and even adults familiar with the game) will enjoy. My kid was fully engaged from start to finish, which made our reading time together feel special and interactive.

What I loved most is how Splatoon 3 turns a familiar game into a narrative that actually holds your attention. There’s humor, action, and enough character development to make it feel like a real story — not just a promo for the game. It doesn’t bog down in complicated plot twists, which makes it perfect for reluctant readers or gamers who are just starting to explore books.

If I had one small gripe, it’s that the book leans pretty heavily on prior Splatoon knowledge — so if your kid isn’t already into the game, they might miss some of the fun references. But for families who do have a gamer at home, this is a great pick.

A fun, kid-friendly read that made bedtime stories something we both looked forward to.

Don't really read Manga but I just grabbed it from the shelf at my local library didn't have high expectations. But after like two pages I got sucked in! Couldn't stop reading this! Loved the plot and story line and how goggles is what you would call a team leader (even though he wasn't). Loved the turn of events and how it left me off with a cliffhanger!

edit: Ofc I went to my local library to get the second one!
