This was such an enlightening book! It's very complete, and full of information and instructions on how to read and analyse your brith chart. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about how to navigate their birth chart and how to use it.

Ik weet nog enorm weinig over astrologie, maar bij het zien van dit boek werd direct mijn nieuwsgierigheid en interesse gewekt. Ik hoop dat er met het lezen van het boek een hele nieuwe en verrassende wereld voor me open gaat, ik meer over mezelf en de gebeurtenissen kan leren en zeker op het gebied van relaties en de liefde komt goed advies wel van pas. Wie weet kan ik zo wel mijn grote liefde vinden.
Vogue-astrologe Alice Bell laat je zien hoe je je geboortehoroscoop kan gebruiken om je door je liefdesleven heen te navigeren. Wat is jouw liefdestaal, wat trekt je aan in mensen, wat voor partner past het beste bij jou en wat heb jij nodig? Omdat Alice Bell zelf teleurstellingen ervaarde in de liefde, wendde ze zich tot de astrologie en de positie van de hemellichamen om te onderzoeken welke invloed het moment van haar geboorte voor invloed heeft op haar liefdesleven. Alice Bell weet me door haar inleiding en persoonlijke verhaal erg enthousiast en nieuwsgierig te maken, daarbij weet ze, doordat ze zich zo open opstelt, heel erg met je op één lijn te gaan zitten. Het voelt als het ware alsof je met een vriendin in gesprek bent, wat erg prettig is en vertrouwelijk voelt.
Het boek heeft een hele duidelijke en heldere opbouw waarmee je, ook als je zoals ik nog weinig over je geboortehoroscoop weet, het toch erg goed kan volgen. Het is erg toegankelijk en op concrete wijze geschreven en het is geen zweverig verhaal. Wel merkte ik, dat als je dit boek gaat lezen, het erg handig is als je een computer of telefoon bij de hand hebt om direct de aanwijzingen over je geboortehoroscoop op te kunnen zoeken. Hierdoor weet je direct wat voor jou van toepassing is. Wat mij enorm verraste en misschien in bepaalde opzichten ook wel confronterend was, was dat zo goed als alles klopte over mij.
Naast dat Alice Bell ook duidelijke uitleg geeft over je complete geboortehoroscoop zoomt ze later in op het familie en relatie gedeelte. Hierdoor weet Alice Bell je erg veel inzichten te geven in jezelf, de liefde die je zoekt, de liefde die je aanvult en wat er wel en niet bij je past. Ook word je door deze kennis bewust van je sterke en zwakkere kanten.
In deel 3 leert Alice Bell je geboortehoroscopen vergelijken met je partner. In dit geval kon ik dit niet doen als single, maar in de toekomst lijkt me dit een mega interessant onderzoek. In het laatste deel, focust Alice Bell zich op de toekomst van het relatiegebied. Welke sterrenbeelden staan in welke huizen de komende maanden/jaren en wat betekent dit voor jou?

Alice has expertly written a book *accessible* to beginner and intermediate astrologers, using approachable language that doesn't overcomplicate or mystify the subject of astrology
As an astrologer myself, I am often asked 'what books I recommend' for someone starting out in astrology or looking to delve deeper. I'm usually at a loss for words. While I've read much of the astrology literature, I almost feel 'bad' recommending a stuffy or complex textbook to a friend. Reading astrology content should be enjoyable!
Trust Your Timing makes astrology feel so straightforward, while tackling beginner/intermediate subjects from a refreshing angle. Alice explains each concept right on the nose, no beating around the bush with flowery language. You can't feel confused or lost while reading this book — I promise

This book opened my eyes, literally. It made me understand a lot of things about me and, also, about other people. It gave me literally hope about myself and my future and it nurtured more and more the interest I've already had in astrology leading to the decision to start studying it quite seriously. As a novice I've really appreciated the book and since it is written really easily I think I'll go back to it a lot during my studies... Thanks Alice!

This was really good, it’s almost like a workbook. I was very confused by the end when talking about transits and I feel like that’s the reason I wanted this book so that was a little frustrating but it could have just been the amount of information was confusing. Also got very frustrated/depressed that Saturn won’t be entering my 7th house until 2041…….. lol def a book you have to go back to and re-read and take in, you won’t get it after 1 read I’m still lost but not as lost as when I started. Thank you Alice!

I finished this a while ago. Can’t fully remember what I thought. Great general info. Mostly well laid out. Could have been more developed/ informative on specifics. The writing was just a bit too informal for text. I haven’t found a typo in years, this book had several.

This book is okay. Alice gives a lot of good information about understanding ourselves and others in relationships based on Venus, Mars and Moon signs. But a lot of this information is available on her blog for free. I'm not sure who the audience is for the books as her long time fans already know a lot about the things that were mentioned in the book. Also, I do not like the writing style of the book. It feels rather informal to me? But that's just a minor criticism. Overall, if you are at an intermediate level in learning astrology, you can skip this book

I loved this book!!! Alice did such a great job at succinctly explaining the mechanics of astrology, while so giving a masterclass on the ways it can affect relationships. She and I have many similarities in our charts and life stories so I often felt like this book was written just for me. 😌 Honestly though I have been searching for a book that wasn’t just a running list of all the signs and their placements and this was exactly what I needed.

Whew, there's a lot of information packed into this book! I learned a lot from it but I will be coming back to it time and time again. So much information!
Great book but I would say it's best suited for those who already have a fairly good understanding of astrology. Not a beginner's book in my opinion.

Though it's considered a pseudoscience, we can't say that it is nonsense. Just like any other subject, Astrology is a lifelong learning process - the more you experience, the more you understand yourself and your life.
This book begins from the basics of astrology, to the very details of how to predict and understand your relationships. It's all about the work of the distant celestial bodies whenever something happens in your life. In this book, Alice Bell has provided in great detail how to read your birth chart and interpret its components, how to read your synastry and transit charts, transits and aspects of different planets and their influences on relationships, and real-life examples of herself and her clients.
It also contained images to explain certain topics and positions of the planets across the birth chart. Her writing was clear and easily understandable. As the book shifted from basics, the content got a little heavy - by which I mean it delved deep into astrology. However, I am comforted by the fact that I can come back and read whichever part I want as this book can be conveniently used as a guide.
It was a very thorough book, and I enjoyed reading it, comparing and decoding my birth chart alongside. I recommend you to read it if you are an astrology nerd like me or would like to understand the relationship aspect of your life.

Trust Your Timing is an astrology book that helps you navigate your birth chart in reference to relationships and finding yourself. I am casually into astrology. I think of it as a fun way to explore yourself, your motivations, and your relationships.
This book walks you through all of the aspects of an astrological birth chart. I was well versed in sun, moon, and rising signs, but this book goes even further as it teaches you about houses, angles, planets, aspects, and more. While the information does get complex, the author explains things in a very straightforward way. I learned so much about how to interpret different aspects of your birth chart and bring them all together. This book focuses on learning this information to specifically understand romance. I found the author's analysis and way of interpreting things very interesting.
If you are also casually interested in knowing more about astrology, this book is perfect for beginners or those with a foundational knowledge of astrology.

For someone who is not all familiar with astrology, this was very interesting to read, especially about relationships. This book made me go back and think about some of my past relationships and get a better understanding of why some of them didn't work out. It was overwhelming at times because it's A LOT of information. I took my time with this book to read and understand my sign and meaning.
I enjoyed the timing portion of the book because I do believe that timing is a factor in when things happen in your life. There are so many "incidents" I can share about the timing before and when I met my now husband. The timing of meeting my husband now is honestly perfect and I'm so glad that it happened when it did. This book could've saved me on so many of my past relationships before but oh well haha, it's partially part of the experience right?
Anyways, this is an enjoyable book for those who are beginners, like me, who are interested in relationship astrology. Once of the better book I’ve read on this topic, but I would really like one of these book to have the explanation and understanding on how to draw/make oh our own birth chart. Let start at the beginnning and teach the whole thing not just what will get you clout, I don’t want website etc. this lacks in this book and many others.
Aside from that the author was more detailed than most, show they have some sense of really understanding, giving you a better understanding to implement the practice.

November 20, 2023This is a good book for beginners to relationship astrology. I'm not a beginner astrologer and I thought the chapter on timing was the most useful to me because a lot of pop astro blogs will forgo that part altogether, and it is sooo important to know that not every transit means something tangible will happen to you. I actually wish I had this book when I was younger and first starting to learn about synastry. If I ever get into a relationship I will probably come and revisit this book. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. :)

Really good book for people who are discovering more about astrology. As someone who has been into astrology for over ten years now the beginning chapters weren't necessarily for me but I enjoyed Alice's way of explaining introductory concepts. The chart examples and anecdotes were my absolute favourite parts of this book and I could read a whole book on more of these relationship examples and their timings. Excellent stuff!

I consider myself fairly well versed in astrology and still learned a lot from this book! I also feel like Trust Your Timing is full accessible to someone brand new to astrology. I love the way the author took on the many facets of relationships, astrology and timing. I’m just over all very impressed with this book and consider it a valuable resource for anyone insterested in the way the cosmos affect our relationships here on Earth.

With Trust Your Timing, Alice Bell does a great job of breaking down the nuances of astrology and providing high-level insights. Each chapter builds on the previous ones, which helps make this volume of information much less daunting, I'll definitely need to revisit this book a few times to better grasp the content — which is completely expected, given how much is in here — but I already feel more confident in my understanding of astrology and my birth chart.

Well, there is so much going on in this book, you have to pay attention. There are so many ins & outs of your chart that this book goes through so you can have a better understanding. The author discusses & shares being able to learn about things outside of your sun, rising, & moon signs. There are certain parts that can be a bit confusing since transits are not the easiest thing to figure out. Being able to give real life examples is super helpful though.
