Henry Allen "Harry" Ironside (October 14, 1876-January 15, 1951) was a Canadian-American Bible teacher, preacher, theologian, pastor, and author.
Ironside was one of the most prolific Christian writers of the 20th Century and published more than eighty books and pamphlets, many of which are still in print. As an editorial reviewer wrote of a 2005 republication, "Ironside's commentaries are a standard and have stood the test of time."

I have never read a book by Ironside that did not teach me something, lift my soul, and bless my heart. After reading this book I can still state that as a truth. Excellent commentary on Ephesians- I detected this book's influence on several other commentaries on the same book of the Bible- that should tell you something.
Do you understand what God has done for you? Do you understand what He has given you? Do you understand His love? I don’t think we ever will or can. All spiritual blessings, how overwhelming a concept to even try to grasp! Yet, God has given it to us freely in His Son. What a glorious truth to contemplate! But even the dimmest grasp of the breadth, and length, and depth, and height of that truth will change us, enable us. Doesn’t such eternal bounty make you desire to live to our Lord’s glory and renown? Paul takes us to the heights of God’s grace and love and then reminds us that such bounty ought to bring us to wholehearted service every moment of our lives. This book is a wonderfully conversational expounding on those glorious topics. Ironside’s style is comforting and strong. His confidence is his Savior and the Word of God is infectious. So I can’t recommend it strongly enough for everyone.
harry ironside, once pastor of moody bible church in chicago and officer in the salvation army, is simple, down to earth, a bit folksy, sometimes hopelessly out of date, but good when he's dealing with eternal themes.
