Although the main character is fictional, this book presents a historically accurate depiction of the years Rudyard Kipling and his wife spent in Vermont and some of the controversies that surrounded their stay. A very interesting read.

I started reading books set in VT in search of one to read to my class. This is a really sweet historical fiction that is simple and contains some great detail.
