Probably useful was never a quality intended for this text. Probably fast delivery was the main criteria.

I don't think I learned anything from this book. It structured itself entirely backwards. If I wanted an in-depth look into something, it was too superficial. If I needed only a brief summary of a concept, it went on for pages. That was my first encounter with the "Everything" series, and I don't think I'd get any more of them. (You're probably better off with either Idiots or Dummies...not that I've spent a lot of time looking at those either.)

My biggest problem was that it had very few concrete examples, and none were on the subjects I needed. Since I'm more of a "learn by example and/or doing" type of person, I found even some of the more basic principles hard to follow.
