This is a review of the first half of the book only. I only read that much.
This is a very small book. 95 pages. The first 48 pages say this and only this, believe it or not:
1. Learn your 12 major triads and be able to move between them quickly.
2. Learn your minor triads.
3. Learn their inversions.
4. Learn the diminished triads and inversions.
5. Learn the augmented triads and inversions.
6. Learn the Major 6 triads and inversions.
7. Minor 6 etc
8. 7th (Dominant 7th for classical players)
9. Major 7th
10. 9th
11. 11th
12. 13th
13. Diminished 7th
14. Sus4
15. A sentence or two about what +5, -5 +9 means.
16. A slash chord means to play the note after the slash as the bass.
17. Practice 12 minor 7th chords in root position.

There, now you don't have to buy the book. There are no exercises other than the chords (i.e. no songs or even parts of songs) in those 48 pages, there's very little words that have not been repeated endlessly in the previous pages, such as "in the previous sections we covered....[insert many many previous sections descriptions here]"

The musical notation after page 45 looks like a somewhat blurred enlarged or shrunk image file. Before then they are ok.

To be fair, if you are only interested in learning chords and practicing chords only, it might be an ok book, but the surprising lack of content for anything but the chords make it hardly worth it.

Also remember, I'm only talking about half the book.

The Best!

This book is the most clear written explanation and demonstration of chords and usage I have seen in ling time. Thank you so much. I like to put new chords into old gospel songs and this book will surely help me a lot!!!! Thank you

Did not find it useful as it contained some mistakes, so I am returning this for a full refund.

This is a small book, with very basic info. The info in it is good enough, but is available in other books, with a LOT more information about how to use it. It is only lists of chords, there is no musical notation. It is also small, and bound in such a way that you can't use it at the piano, for example. I got rid of it, and I keep just about every book I buy.

Valuable info but really boring. Liked the content and have referred to it as a text book. fell asleep often throughout the study.
