The suspect is connected at the highest levels. Confronting him is impossible.
Still, justice must be served…
Long-retired Navy SEAL Thomas “T-Bone” Marks left the warrior business behind years ago. He’s now a happy, small-town teacher—until the wheels come off his world.
A clandestine intelligence agency offers to help “Bone” reclaim his life… in exchange for a few days of his time.
The untouchable suspect may be responsible for attacks on America.
Someone must find out the truth.
Someone completely off the radar.
Someone expendable—and with nothing to lose.
Someone like Bone.
If the intel is correct, there must be instant justice.
Without remorse.
Without mercy.
No matter what the costs.
Bone is back in the warrior business.
He’s a man with a mission… whether he’s ready for it or not.
As a kid, I wanted to be a writer. After several fun careers, I've finally realized that dream.
It's both easier and more difficult than I thought it would be. When the words are flowing, it's miraculous. I feel like I'm taking dictation, typing the words that are meant to be written.
When the ideas don't come, I go for a run, think about what I would love to read, then start again.
Little by little, stories take shape, characters get into trouble, work their way out, and a book gets written.
Now, with over 17,000 5-star reviews of my books, I feel incredibly blessed that people enjoy my stories.
We also have a fun community on Facebook at AuthorBradLee. I post progress reports of my writing projects plus other fun stuff. Please join us if you're around.
When not writing, I'm an avid hiker and photographer. I love getting out in nature to take pictures.
Count me as a Brad Lee fan! I started with his Team of * series (One, Two, etc.) SO good, following the analysts and how they find problems was fascinating to me. If anything, Target Redacted was even better! I won't go into the plot since that's already noted in the book's description. Suffice to say, I was invested from the beginning! I would have finished it sooner but had family visiting and wasn't able to open my Kindle for 2 days -- AGGGH!! LOL
Thomas Marks, Navy SEAL, nicknamed Bones struggles through PTSD bought on by a night seven years ago when all of the men from his unit, his brothers, were ambushed and killed in Afghanistan. Now he has a chance to avenge their deaths, but he's rusty and has to overcome psychological flashbacks that cause night terrors and incapacitating hallucinations. Author Brad Lee weaves a fascinating, action packed story filled with real and flawed characters seeking redemption. This is a quick and exciting read, well worth the price of admission! I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series!
Wow!!! Target: Redacted had me from the start and I couldn’t put it down! You’re going to have to read it yourself to find out, and you won’t be disappointed!!!
In keinster Weise!
This was a fantastic beginning to this new series. It was an intriguing story that had numerous heartbreaking, devastating, and sinister tragedies caused by by the evilness of one man. When a group of off-book analysts (from another series: A Team of One, Two, Three, etc..) determine that something has been going on, another favorite character from that series gets involved, and it gets really crazy, wild, and suspenseful from there. It's certainly not a story or series that you'll want to miss! Perfect for thriller lovers!
It's not necessary to enjoy this series, but if you're interested, I would highly recommend reading the series I mentioned above prior to beginning this one. It will give you a better understanding of some of the characters, connections, and the dynamics between all of them. They're all absolutely fantastic stories, and you definitely won't be disappointed!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Brad Lee writes covert ops in a way that just captures interest. Stretches imagination.... sometimes. Will you care....Nope! After finishing his Team books (can't wait for Seven!), he brings in The Covert Asset series, with Thomas (T-bone) Marks. Retired SEAL, damaged, hurting, and losing his grip on life. When asked to perform one more time for his country, he accepts. The wild ride begins! Just one book right now, but you will want more. Keep writing, Brad! And read these books, people... if you enjoy fast paced, good vs evil stories, Brad's got 'em!
Psychopathic Terrorist in California! This is the first book in a new series that explores the life of a retired SEAL. Our main character lost his entire team in an ambush and is still suffering the mental and emotional after-effects. He has been selected to take out the mastermind of that ambush. It all becomes a huge mess from the start. It is an exciting story with lots of danger, fighting, and blood. There is some gore, but just at a climactic point. I am expecting some great things from this series!
For those that have read the other Brad lee series, this will be a series of books that runs parallel to those. Similar storylines a few moments where familiar characters are included and the same premise of deniable Ops Overall it lacks something that the other series of books has, that maybe excuse this is the first and we are on book 5 or 6 in the other and it's had more time to develop Not a bad start and looking forward to seeing how things progress. I have high hopes
when a retired SEAL is approached by his former C.O., and the big ask is for services required to eliminate a Saudi target only recently proven to be the money man behind a bounty program in Afghanistan's prolonged war with everyone, Thomas Allen Marks, informally known as Bone, kicks it up a notch and finds his mission has a hundred or so surprises embedded in it that must be adapted to and overcome if he is to succeed. how bad is he still after seven years of flashbacks, too much alcohol, and a runaway case of PTSD? bad enough...
Target Redacted was a real surprise! Brad Lee did an excellent job with this series starter. The characters were so varied, but Brad's vivid depictions of each personality brought them to life in techni-color. You could easily follow the switch from one character to the next as the story flowed seamlessly bringing the plot into focus. The length of the book almost deterred me, but from the beginning my attention was grabbed so completely that pages seemed to fly by at warp speed. Highly recommended thriller. I can't wait for book two!
Target:Redacted is the first in another great series by Brad Lee! Imagine going from a retired Navy Seal with PTSD turned Special Education teacher to America’s best chance to stop a psychotic terrorist! This book keeps you guessing from beginning to end. Make sure to start this on a weekend. You’re not going to put it down until the end.
Having read Lee’s other series, I was eager to see how he’d launch a new one. This is a solid start, introducing the Bone character. All the plot lines add up nicely, there are enough action scenes to keep it moving, the dialogue is a little clunky in places but overall a good kickoff.
For some reason, the overall plot and main character did not resonate with me as it seemed too simplistic or unreal as compared to the “team” books which had more complexity and multiple characters. This was also too “middle eastern” for me as well but I still enjoyed it.
At fifteen percent I was already sick of the time line jumping....six months ago....seven months before....seven months later....the author was to busy trying to be clever. Won't bother to finish
A very exciting book, which I enjoyed. Lots of action and a good ending. I will read the next book asap. It will be ood, I know. Brad Lee is a new favorite writer for me.
I am a big fan of this author. His first series “A Team of …” would grab you from the first words, this book is no different ! Mr Lee creates flawed amazing characters and strong plot lines. I have read all of his books and highly recommend them.
I have really enjoyed the story lines that Brad Lee has come up with. The “Team of” series was fantastic and the first of the Target series built off the success of the teams…have already preordered the next one!
Takes a retired SEAL - working as a teacher (thought impersonating a war hero), now fired, recruited to rid the USA of spoiled & deadly member of the Saudi royal family...who enjoys killing Americans.
Great first book in, hopefully, an expanded CAG universe. Nalen makes another initial contact and we’re off. Great plot, characters, pace, and action. Already pre-ordered Book 2.
Pretty fast, fun read. The hero is likeable, with a few issues, but not as bad as some. Good amount of action and nothing g too over the top. Its a good start for a new series.
I was hard pressed to put it down. The plot evolves along the lines of self introspection, need for redemption. But above all, the code of honor of a true warrior. Conrad Samayoa.
I recommend you read A Team of One thru Team of 7 prior to this series. Brad Lee has done an outstanding job developing characters and story lines. I look forward to Book 2 of this series.
A great story concerning the results war has on surviving warriors and the attention they need to normalize. I know a couple of men like the main character and I am amazed at the skills they have/had. I recommend this story and look forward to reading the series.
A book to grab your attention early on- keep your attention throughout- and keep you coming back for more. Brad Lee is a consitant winner in my reading world even if it does cost me a lot of sleep time Thank you for a great read
Brad Lee has done it again! Target Redacted is an action packed, hard to put down read. The new good guy characters are as brave as in the Team Of books.
The story is blended with scenarios and characters that bring the story to life. Just a great action story that will bring reading pleasure to the reader.
