This is a hard book to review. Although it ebbed and flowed, i kept thinking it was a solid 4 star read until the end when I’m like, holy heck, I didn’t even notice that about Carlos, but it explains a lot. So yeah, although at the time I thought there was some added in angst, upon resolution, I was, yeah, now that was really well done!
Of course I am also a huge fan of books with characters who are POC. As much as I love reading of struggles stemming from cultural backgrounds, it was lovely to read a book where different ethnicities were simply represented working in their communities. This representation matters.
This is my first read by Laura Marquez Diamond, but it won’t be my last.

Want to thank the author for letting me ARC read this book. At first I wasn’t sure when I first started reading it how I would feel about it. But the more I read I found myself wanting to keep going and finding out what’s going to happen between these two best friends.
Let me tell you, it did not disappoint me at all. I love the whole concept of best friends to lovers. Two best friends Jordan and Carlos were so good and well written plus all the spicy scenes was what I was looking forward between them.
I really enjoyed the development of the characters throughout the story but especially right up to the spicy moments. I just couldn’t put this down, if I could’ve and life was not busy this would have been a book I would’ve read in one sitting.
If you enjoy friends to lovers book, this is one you do not want to pass up.

Carlos and Jordan . . .
This is a well-written story about Carlos Fuentes and Jordon Tanaka ultimately discovering that a best friend can become so much more. Their interactions will be going far beyond the dating tips she expected. When he provided a place for his best friend to stay, this gave them the opportunity to adjust to their new situation of being adults now where the rules change. So many other attributes come into play that childhood friends hadn’t needed to deal with. Now they have only one big thing to decide. Will they have the conversation they need to tell each other what is going on?
As awkward as it can sometimes feel, moving a friendship forward as you become ready for the next phase of a relationship doesn’t mean you give up all that you have shared together over the years. Friendship actually enhances falling in love because you know each other so very well so that continuing to care for each other is natural after a lifetime of practice. As long as a couple keeps those lines of communication open, falling in love can be the perfect result. Are they willing to give it a try? Or will they panic and run away from that level of commitment?

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very end!
You can tell that the author truly took their time in developing the characters and their love story. Where sometimes this can be tedious and a bore to read; Laura Marquez Diamond, created it so that this was an extremely satisfying read.
It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it within an hour or so, without having to skim through the touch and go pages; but, I must admit that I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.

I'm normally an avid reader of dark romance but I've been trying out a few lighter romances and this one was amazing!! I was given an arc which I was super lucky to get so thank you!
This is a friends to lovers romance and both characters were so good! The story was well written and had lots of depth to it. Plus the spicy scenes were hot 🥵🥵
My only downside was I felt there were too many side characters at points and I was confused who was with who and who knew who! But other than that, it was a great read!

What an amazing series end! Jordan and Carlos are an awesome couple to read about. This is tough to write and not give spoilers!!!!! I highly recommend this whole series. The Temptation Tutorial was a read that I had to force myself to put down so that I could accomplish things in my life. If I'd had a choice, I would've read it in one sitting. Laura Marquez Diamond is a very talented author and I highly suggest that you give her a try.

This best friends to lovers story is great! You get some fantastic steamy scenes as Carlos and Jordon realise that the person made for them is their best friend.
I love the way Laura writes the characters development through this story, making them grow and accept part of themselves. This is a spicer book from Laura but you still get plenty of feel good moments within the pages. This book can be read as a standalone but if you have read any others from the series you will spot characters popping into the storyline.

I just loved this story. Carlos and Jordan had been friends forever and one day things changed. I loved this one because the characters were so well written I couldn’t help but love them. Also, it wasn’t one of those friends-to-lovers were one of the parties has been pining for the other all along.

Carlos and Jordan have been friends since first grade. I love the diversity in Laura Marquez Diamond’s books, and the strong women! Carlos has abandonment issues and Jordan is still grieving her parents. They've always been there for each other. Suddenly, each one notices the other as more. But do they communicate, of course not! They finally get together, sparks fly, hearts meld, 3rd act breakup, then they get therapy and find their way back to each other and HEA! It's way better than my synopsis.

This book is the best friends to lovers book. One of my favorite tropes! I love the way Carlos and Jordan's characters have developed throughout the story. This book is an amazing read to end the series!! I definitely highly recommend this whole series. I'm going to miss the characters of this series.

Looking for a story with some length, and fun characters. Give this a read. A nice book to read at the pool. Because you'll need to be cooled down afterwards.
