Are you curious? Do you have a good imagination? Then you will love this book. There are dog stories written from a dogs eye view. The other writings delve into the realm of the super natural and the world of miracles. This reflects the author's view that possibilities are indeed endless and that miracles whilst uncommon can and do happen. I invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy.
A lot of well known authors contributed to this book of short stories including Joyce Carol Oates, Stephen King, and a host of others. Some of the stories are entertaining or thought-provoking, but there were some that I just had to skip over---but one can do that easily with short stories. What unites this book is that every story has some connection to a cat---big cats and small cats. In that respect it is like Birds of Prey: The Harlan Coven Challenge, a book of short stories that all involve raptors and other birds of prey. Both books have some good stories, but a few of the stories in each book should be skipped. I'm not a cat person, and there were times when the story involved a domesticated cat that I wondered what I was thinking when I picked up a cat book.
If you love cats (I'm allergic, sadly) then this book is for you! Each 'tail' centers around cats and is really neat. Each story has a different element, be it a far-away place or here and now, and you'll get lost in each page. At 400+ pages, it'd make a great 'beach' book.
