Meet Elizabeth Sorority Sister, Varsity Athlete, Murder Suspect. Her life is about to unravel as an ordinary day at her prestigious college intersects with a killer. Elizabeth returns home to find her roommate, Danielle lying in a pool of blood. Dani’s boyfriend, Sal, is standing over her, wiping off the knife. “This isn’t over,” he growls at Elizabeth as he exits through the fire escape. Minutes later, the police haul Elizabeth away for questioning. Yesterday’s school assignments are child’s play as Elizabeth faces a web of lies designed to frame her for Dani’s murder. And the clock is ticking as Sal hunts her down. All she has going for her are her own wits, and the help of the sorority sisters. Game on.
This book is definately a lot different than what I have been reading lately. But oh man is it amazing! Basically it's about this girl (Elizabeth) who comes back to her soriety house and walks in on her roomate (Dani)--and long time best friend-- being murdered by Dani's boyfriend. When cops accuse her of killing Dani, She set's out to prove her innocence.
This book is beautifully written. It captavated me from the very beginning and I read through it faster than I ever have with any other book. It wasn't slow, it flowed perfectly and there was never a dull moment. It is suspenseful and you never really know what will happen next, which I love when reading a book. It wasn't predictable at all and the twist had me stunned. Although when I looked back I noticed things that hinted towards it.
This is a YA book and I highly recommend reading it. Even if you are not a big fan of the YA genre, I am pretty sure you won't be disappointed.
I received this book, free as part of GoodReads first reads. I started it a day after I received it and finished it same day. I enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down once I started it. It was easy to read, and get into - fairly light, which was great for summer reading! The characters were well written and believable. The plot line was believable and while I didn't see many drugs at the frat parties I went to, I can see how this might have happened!! I also liked how it ended with the police at the end! I have already passed my copy on to friends, I would recommend this book to both young adults and adults.
