I’d Rather Be Single pt. 2 takes LaShonda DeVaughn’s story, The Skeletons in My Closet in pt 1 to a whole new level! Tyra, Rosslyn & Michael are back for one of the most demented and engrossing love stories of all times. There are twists & turns that will have you re-reading the pages wondering why you didn’t see things coming. Would you take a chance at love if it means putting your own life on the line or would you rather be single?
In this 2nd installment, we see not much has changed in Tyra's life..or maybe it has. At times, mistakes tend to make us a little wiser..as long as we learn from them. Tyra seems to have put a head on her shoulders but sometimes the heart totally out weighs the head. As she comes face to face with her past, Tyra finds herself asking the same ole question: is it worth it or would she rather be single..especially with the deranged Rosslyn on the loose.
Overall, I enjoyed this read. It had some elements of suspense with a few twists and turns I didn't see coming. I felt the character development was on point and I liked the growth in some of the characters, mainly Tyra. However, I found the ending a little rushed. The beginning and middle were so detailed then the ending just hits you so fast. Years passed and very little detail was given. I felt as though if more details were added in the conclusion, it could have actually been the end of the series. But I will wait to see how the author spins the third book.
I really enjoyed this book...Shonda did not disappoint...at all...The story was definitely full of drama and suspense ...I did have to go back and read part 1 in order to remember these characters...so I recommend reading that if you don't remember... it makes the story that much better...but i must say what happened at the end to Michael was just wrong...I was not feeling that whole play out at all...I think that it should've had a better ending...but I look forward to reading book 3!
Omg! Jaw dropping!!! Sad to say, I started on one book. & I Rather Be Single 2 was calling my name! Lol. I love the fact that LaShonda shared her wisdom with inspiring words in her work. I'm always quoting authors! The book was a great read! I couldn't put my kindle down it's full of suspense & will keep you wanting more.
This book was awesome from the beginning to the end. I could barely put it down. My mouth was on the floor so many times. I just started part 3 and am loving it. Your books are fiyah . Love them.
This book was really good. Sometimes Tyra act little dumb and I really wish they would have let Dahlia live so that Tyra could have had some kind of family
