While I admire the subject, the author of this title on Dav Pilkey pretty much filled in the form and let the company that does this series publish it. I know that is how many of our nonfiction writers got started in the field. But this series really limits authors. However, kudos to the author for telling how Pilkey got his first name, Dav. I think youngsters will enjoy that. I do appreciate this series’ emphasis on vocabulary. And the timeline is nicely done. Really, a 2.5 stars title but at least I know more about Dav Pilkey now!
