Jean Hatton looks into the recent past to discover the story of the Bible Lands Society. She discusses the men and women who strived to provide front line care in conditions of horrific suffering, and events such as the Armenian genocide, that are largely forgotten today.
I learned a lot from this history of the Bible Lands Society in the Middle East. I learned that the animosities we see manifested in today's news are not new. Perhaps, that should be obvious. However, I had never read a history focusing on anything pertaining to this part of the World. (A bit Eastward I have read about.) This was an eyeopener for me.
