Couldn't put this book down until the end! I knew I would like it but when I say I fell in LOVE with Sam Hoch, I MEAN IT! Everything about said love, respect, chivarly, and romance. I was just waiting for Roxy to see it too. The sub characters of Dean, Laila, and Ritchie were great too! I was afraid death would drive them to come together but I am so happy LOVE did instead! Great story that I could re-read anytime.

This story is more erotic than romance and that isn't working here. I would like to have something invested in the characters first and I don't with the female MC. also, I have had to re read a couple of passages to understand what's going on. could be me, but I am thinking its the writing. DNF 10%.

Could not bond with this book or the characters. Couln't decide if this was a romance novel with a heavy dose of erotica or an erotic novel with a little romance thrown in.

I read this book about 2 years ago. I decided to go ahead and write a review since I wrote one for the 3rd book in this series.

I loved Sam and Roxi as a couple. Both with military background so the foundation and understanding of what military personnel deal with and go through already exist in each of their character traits. I love the patience Roxi showed with the time Sam took in coming around and truely opening his heart to her and her nephew. Roxi leaving the military to provide a stable environment for hew nephew is heart-warming and so selfless. And yet she is a no nonsense and takes no mess type of woman, you go Roxi. Loved this story.

A Permanent Home Now!

Sam finally gave himself the leeway to accept the home being offered to him by Roxie! After being abandoned as a child and hurt by someone he wanted to make a life with, Sam had put a lock on his heart to keep from being hurt! Meeting and being around Roxie and having her be so open and willing to share her home gave him the push he needed to again make room for love and make a home with her. May they flourish in the home and family they will now create!

Rocks

Roxie and Sam romance is cool. He is the silent type who has been hurt by nearly everyone in his life. He meets Roxie a friend of the man who tried to be there for him. He is attracted to her but tries to hold back giving her his all. Roxie an ex Marine is tough and allows Sam to be silent until she realizes she needs more from him. Good writing, good storylines

I enjoyed this book I love this author , I really liked Roxi and Sam I felt like they have more of a story . They have great Chemistry the love scenes in this book are hot. I wanted more of the romance between the two, to me they had hot sex and not enough love.
